This research is about the challenges of post-hajj fostering to the  pilgrims (hujjaj) in Indonesia which are quite large in number. All the pilgrims hope ‘ridha’ of Allah SWT to obtain mabrur pilgrimage. That hope is manifested in the efforts of manasik education and training to ensure the hajj ritual in worship is based on the syariah. The Ministry of Religion on behalf of government  currently only provides manasik education and training before the departure of the pilgrimage that organized by the Office of the Ministry of Religion in Regencies / Cities and the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA) in the Districts, and does not conduct post-hajj fostering. Whereas post-hajj fostering is needed by the pilgrims to maintain the sustainability of the mabrur. To this day, the only organization actively carries out post-hajj fostering is the Indonesian Hajj Fraternity Association (IPHI) that is spread throughout  the territory of Indonesia (the central board, province board  and in almost all regencies / cities and Sub-districts). This post-hajj fostering research is conducted qualitatively by observation, interview and document research. Based on this research it is known that the efforts to develop post-hajj fostering in order to achieve mabrur throughout life is a formidable challenge that needs the support of society and government.

This article examines the work context of South Africa’s state-employed adult educators. It is based largely on a recent cross-sectional study of adult educators commissioned by the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET), which draws on the DHET’s database of adult educators and qualitative information gained from visits to adult education and training centres in all nine provinces. The study enquired into adult educators’ working lives, their qualifications, their sense of whether their training was adequate, the issue of further training, their understanding of their work, their conditions of service and the support they believe they need. The study showed that the number of adult educators employed by the DHET is declining steadily and that the working conditions of adult educators are uneven: a few work in fairly well-resourced urban centres, but many work in poor conditions, with little support. Nevertheless, the study indicated that almost all the adult educators view their role in a positive light. Confident of support from one another, they have a definite shared identity as a social group and express a strong commitment to their learners and the communities in which they work. Overall, they constitute a group with strong, yet poorly tapped, potential to contribute to positive community development.

Action programs dealing with unemployment problems, beth by sector and intersector, which were done in the past and those will be done in the future seems are unable to overcome the problems. This is becauce most of the programs were less attracted to the excepted participants (the unemployed). Almost all of the education and training programs offered materials only at introduction level, while in the job seeking competition the preference is a person with a master qualification or on expert in a certain job. The shift of the unemployed characteristics, from the less educated to be an educated one will also simply the action programs' type and level of education and training. It means that the programs should be designed to produce a skilled person or a master on their jobs.

From a strategic point of view digitalizing the economy in the near future means that it’s necessary, from now on, to change the focus on digital skills because at the moment almost all jobs require some level of digital knowledge from employees. Although digitalization brings a lot of advantages, the vocational education and training cannot be entirely digitalized as qualified vocational development has to maintain its traditional approach in order remain efficient and most importantly attractive. This paper describes the results of a focus group conducted in Mureș County, Romania on the topic of digitalization with the aim to offer an overview image on vocational education and training challenges in the current context.
