Introduction. Organizational culture is a set of values that must be understood by all individuals involved in organization where achievement of a conducive organizational culture depends on many factors. Organizational culture that is not conducive in implementation of the hospital service system, is observed as one of the factors causing nurse turnover which can be detrimental to the hospital. This study aims to explore the thematic relationship of the influence of organizational culture with nurse turnover. Methods. The Mixed-Methods concurrent triangulation study (a balanced mix of quantitative and qualitative) with the independent variables are characteristic of organizational culture, socialization process of organizational culture and the role of managers in organizational culture. The sample in this study were 232 nurse respondents and 15 participants consisting of nurses, head nurse and the head of the installation at a hospital in South Jakarta. Results. Regression test results showed a significant influence between the characteristics of organizational culture (ß=311, p = .000), the role of managers in organizational culture (ß=240, p = .006) while the process of socializing organizational culture obtained significant results but does not have an effect on nurse turnover (ß= 101, p = 210). The results of qualitative analysis found five themes related to the characteristics of organizational culture, four themes about the socializing process of organizational culture, three themes related to the role of managers in organizational culture. Conclusion. It is important for nurse managers to pay attention to the creation of good organizational culture characteristics, the implementation of orientation socialization processes, and the assessment of consistent career paths for all individuals in hospital organizations.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to examine the role of perceived home and destination organizational culture characteristics and general satisfaction with the assignment as antecedents of expatriates’ withdrawal intentions. Design/methodology/approach Data were collected through a web survey of an international sample of expatriates with a broad representation of industries, organizations and countries of origin and destination. Findings The results indicate that home and destination organizational cultures affect expatriates’ withdrawal intentions, after controlling for demographics and national cultural differences, namely: home organizational culture has a stronger influence on withdrawal intentions from the organization, while host organizational culture affects withdrawal intentions from the assignment. Further, the relationship between host organizational culture and expatriates’ intentions to withdraw from the assignment is mediated by expatriates’ satisfaction with the assignment. Evidence was also found supporting a stronger and negative influence of the goal orientation dimension of organizational culture, thus suggesting that a collective orientation toward common business goals (i.e. solidarity) may help retain expatriates. Originality/value This study seeks to fill a gap in the literature by exploring the influence of organizational culture on expatriates’ withdrawal intentions, and the mediating role of expatriates’ satisfaction with the assignment, on that relationship.

Relevance. So far, the criminal subculture has not been considered from the point of view of postmodernism methodology, the influence of the role of organizational culture on its development. Purpose. Develop the theoretical foundations of the study of criminal subculture that are adequate for modern society. Method. Theoretical analysis of the criminal subculture from the point of view of the methodology of postmodernism. Results. The article provides an analysis of the peculiarities of the nature of modern culture in the conditions of the postmodern and information society, the relationship of the criminal subculture with the culture of society and the social processes taking place in it, the specifics of changes and the cultural transformation of the criminal subculture in a multicultural society (dissemination and introduction into society, modification, acquisition of new forms). Conclusions. Reliance on the methodology of postmodernism gives a deeper understanding of the cultural transformation specifics in the modern criminal subculture. The introduction of criminal subculture into the structure of society is due to the use of objective elements of organizational culture (image, externally acceptable, socialized forms of employee behavior, external compliance with the requirements of conventionality) and concealment of subjective elements of organizational culture (values of the criminal world).

This study aimed to explore the relationships between attachment styles, proximity, and relational satisfaction. This was achieved by assessing a distinct type of long distance romantic relationship of flying crews, compared with proximal (non-flying crew) romantic relationships. The responses of 139 expatriate professionals revealed significant associations between proximity and anxious and avoidant attachment dimensions. The role of the avoidant dimension in comparison with that of the anxious dimension was found to be a significant predictor of relational satisfaction. This study contributes significantly toward addressing the role of proximity and attachment in relational satisfaction in a new context of geographic separation.
