The paper provides information on the algorithm of calculation of parameters of the matching network of HF radio-transmitting devices. One of the main advantages of this algorithm is the possibility of the use of various methods of optimization that allows estimating their efficiency. As the main methods of optimization are used: Nelder – Mead method, method of the golden ratio, method of patterns. For verification works of an algorithm of calculation of parameters of the matching network the simulation model of the matching network considering construction features of the real matching network of HF range is created. In conclusion, the results of imitating modeling of an algorithm with the use of various methods of optimization and comparative analysis this result is introduced.

The problem under consideration is improvement of the energy efficiency of a control system of parallel-running pump units. Known methods used to solve this problem are considered. Their advantages and disadvantages are shown. Finally, the idea of a new approach, which is based on online optimization, is proposed.

Simulation is the main way for testing technologies in the field of multi-hop wireless networks (MWN). Creating a simulation model MWN - a time-consuming task associated with the use of specialized software tools, called network simulators. In this paper, the modern experience of modeling MWN and the main problems are formulated. One of the main problem is the comparative analysis' impossibility of the experiments results conducted by various researchers. This is due to the reasons associated with the models used for testing, the planning an imitation experiment and the principal differences in the network simulators. To solve this problem, authors propose a generalized conceptual model of MWN simulation and a specialized software package that automates the execution of experiment series in a heterogeneous modeling environment.

This paper presents the design of an inductor and an antenna for a portable device with GPS and FM capabilities. The inductor is designed to operate at the lower frequency FM band as part of a matching network and the antenna is designed to operate at the higher frequency GPS L1 band. The FR4 PCB used has a thickness of 1.6 mm with a dielectric constant of 3.8 and has two metallization layers. The inductor is designed with 1.5 mm trace width, 3.5 turns, and has a dimension of 14.5 mm × 14.5 mm. It has an inductance of 95 nH, a resistance of 2.9 Ω, a self-resonance frequency of 500 MHz, and a maximum Q of 51 from 100 MHz to 200 MHz (FM band). The antenna has a dimension of 49 mm × 36 mm and is designed to operate at 1.5754 GHz L1 band. It also has a return loss of −36 dB and a measured bandwidth of 250 MHz.
