The morphology and electrical properties, tactile sensing properties of carbon micro-coils  (CMC) composite sheet were examined. Frequency dependence of electrical parameters;  inductance (L), capacitance (C) and impedance (Z) were measured on single and double-helix  composite sheets. It was found that these parameters of carbon micro-coils/polysilicone composites  extensively changed with the additional amount of CMC with polysilicone resine. It was also  observed that the higher additional amount (0 - 10 wt%) of CMC is appropriate for high sensitivity  as a tactile sensor. In today’s era, sensing technology has been very developed in the fields of machinery, medicine, safety monitoring, and so on. In order to be applicable to more fields, new sensing technologies are also evolving. Tactile and sensory states are two important indicators of human induction to external things. Based on the contact force information between fiber Bragg grating tactile sensor and human body, this paper uses a new fiber Bragg grating tactile sensing system to study the artistic elements of ink painting in modern graphic design. Subsequently, the structure and specific performances of the sensor experimental data are analyzed. With its small volume, low cost, high sensitivity, and good compatibility with the observed body, the new fiber Bragg grating tactile sensor will not be affected by external electromagnetic interference, various noise signals, complex integration, and other problems. According to the data observed by ink painters in this paper, the new tactile sensing technology of fiber Bragg grating can well control the external interference factors. In general, the technology is of great social and practical value.

This paper outlines a study of the effect of changing the electrical properties of materials when applied in the Wireless InSite (WI) ray-tracing software. The study was performed at 60 GHz in an indoor propagation environment and supported by Line of Sight (LoS) and Non-LoS measurements data. The study also investigates other factors that may affect the WI sensitivity, including antenna dimensions, antenna pattern, and accuracy of the environment design. In the experiment, single and double reflections from concrete walls and wooden doors are analysed. Experimental results were compared to those obtained from simulation using the WI. It was found that materials selected from the literature should be similar to those of the environment under study in order to have accurate results. WI was found to have an acceptable performance provided certain conditions are met.

The polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) nanofiber has widely investigated as a sensor and transducer material, because of its high piezo and Ferro electric properties. The novel nano structure of PVDF has attracted considerable interest in the bio sensing and biomedical application. This paper deals with PVDF Tactile sensor. Basically The PVDF acts as piezoelectric effect which convert load into electrical signals. The tactile sensor has a main role for visual handicap and robotics. Any physical activities of robotic in all industrial the tactile sensor is a crucible role, whether it can left the object or handling glass parts pressure of object is main. The Sandwich type PVDF base tactile sensor has been fabricated using nanofiber. Using electro spinning method, the PVDF based nanofiber coated over coper the electrodes. In normal, the PVDF has α-phase and while applying electric pulse the PVDF polymer would be changed from α-phase into β-phase. Only in β-phase, the PVDF act as piezo electrics sensor and measure the piezoelectricity simultaneously measure pressure and temperature in real time. The pressure was monitored from the change in the electrical resistance via the piezo resistance of the material. The enhancement of PVDF properties has been carried by using SEM. The SEM image result showed that the size of nanofiber, the size of nanofiber is varied in the range of (180 nm-400 nm) with smooth surface. The X-Ray diffraction has shown that the PVDF was aggregated with the β-phase crystalline nature. Due to β-phase it was act as a piezo electric prosperity’s and its results are very high sensitivity.

As one of the home services by a mobile manipulator system, we are aiming at the realization of the stand-up motion support for elderly people. This work is charaterized by the use of real-time feedback control based on the information from high speed tactile sensors for detecting the contact force as well as its center of pressure between the assisted human and the robot arm. First, this paper introduces the design of the tactile sensor as well as initial experimental results to show the feasibility of the proposed system. Moreover, several fundamental tactile sensing-based motion controllers necessary for the stand-up motion support and their experimental verification are presented. Finally, an assist trajectory generation method for the stand-up motion support by integrating fuzzy logic with tactile sensing is proposed and demonstrated experimentally.

SUMMARYThe tactile sensor is constructed as a part of the finger of a parallel jaw hand; it is of the size of a finger and allows for a large displacement of the sensor element in response to force. The structure of the tactile sensor incorporates 20 successively and closely aligned elements, which allow for a 2.5 mm maximum displacement for each element. In the described experiments we present the capabilities of the tactile sensor. The tactile sensor has the functions of: 1) discriminating the shape of the partial surface of an object; and 2) tracing by finger on the surface along the profile of an object.

This paper reports on chitosan/bentonite crosslinked (ChB-ECH) film for removal of Cu (II). The effects of chitosan/bentonite ratio on the removal percentage were studied along with the effect of different Cu (II) concentration and the contact time on the film adsorption capacity, qt. The electrical properties of the film are studied, before and after the adsorption occurred, by using impedance spectroscopy for different parameters such as DC conductivity, the complex dielectric constants (ε’ and ε”) and complex electrical modulas (M’ and M’’). The results showed that the chitosan/bentonite ratio of 3:1 produces highest removal percentage at 29 %, while the contact time of 120 minutes was found to be optimum. An increment in the DC conductivity of the ChB-ECH film’s was observed up to 10-7 S/cm as the removal percentage of film increased. The film with the highest Cu (II) adsorb also showed the highest value for ε’ and ε” while exhibiting non-Derby behavior. Shifting of peak amplitude of the M” towards the higher frequency was also observed as the Cu (II) adsorption in the film increased. The results showed that all the electrical parameters can be utilized to determine the amount of adsorbed copper (II) in chitosan/bentonite film.
