Tasks of scientific research:– to characterize the Ars subtilior style;– to determine the philosophical and cultural prerequisites for the emer-gence of the Ars subtilior style;– to describe their impact on the musical art of that time. The methodology of the research is based on the use of historical andtheoretical methods. Conclusions: Composers of Ars subtilior style tried to achieve absolutepossibilities in music: the complexity of rhythm, visual representation andlyrical content, the variety of ways to fix it, and, to a lesser extent, the matterof harmony. Like their contemporaries in the domain of logic, composersaccepted simple logical puzzles and deliberately made them as difficult aspossible. It looked like this: the composers of Ars subtilior took simplemelodic lines and decorated them in various ways, as if competing amongthemselves, just for the sake of the complexity of the experiment. Followingthe example of their predecessors, Ars subtilior composers focused onexpanding the boundaries of rhythm and notation more than on other musicalcomponents (for example, harmony and melody). However, they did this morefor the sake of curiosity, not seeking to improve or clarify the rhythm andnotation.Experiments in the development of rhythmics went in parallel with thedevelopment of other medieval sciences. Especially close and obvious contactcan be traced with the philosophy of the same time. The 13th century inWestern Europe became a period of its rapid development. There werecreated philosophical schools, particularly in England, France, Italy. Thelargest European philosophical center was created at Oxford University.

Miss Dorothy Stimson, Dean of Groucher College, U.S.A., in an article in Isis for 1 September 1935, tried to traverse the view stated in the Introduction to my Comenius in England (Oxford University Press (1932)), pp. 6-7, that the visit of Comenius (Komensky) to London in 1641-1642 marked an important stage in the development in England of the idea of a great society for scientific research which resulted in the organization of the informal ‘Invisible College’ by Theodore Haak and others in 1645, and prepared the way for the foundation of the Royal Society in 1662. She was however unable to explain away the fact that Theodore Haak, who was one of the most active supporters of Komensky’s plan for a Scientific College in 1641, was in 1645 the virtual founder of the informal ‘Invisible College,’ the precursor of the Royal Society. Miss Stimson stresses the contrast between the universal speculative plan of Comenius as outlined in his Via Lucis (1642), and the empirical and specialized activities of the Invisible College. Miss Stimson however has completely overlooked the fact that John Wilkins (1614-1672), Warden of Wadham College, Oxford, whom she rightly regards as one of the most active members of the Invisible College, held views very similar to those of Comenius on scientific method and on the desirability of a universal language.

The site on Middle Hill at Woodeaton, known as the ‘Roman field,’ has long been famous locally for the number of objects which have been picked up on its surface: and a detailed account of the chief finds, so far as they could be traced, was given by Miss Taylor in vol. vii of the Journal. In regard to coins, however, a good deal can now be added to her account from the collections that have come to the Ashmolean Museum since it was written: and it will be seen that there is some evidence to be derived from them as to the currency in use during the period when the place was a centre of activity. It is not easy to say exactly what this activity was: though numerous coins and small articles, especially fibulae, have been found on the surface, there are hardly any traces of permanent buildings on the site. The Oxford University Archaeological Society, in the course of its trial excavations, came on some fragments of painted plaster which look as if they had belonged to a substantial erection, but there were no foundations of a corresponding character discovered. Potsherds are not uncommon, but are nearly all of late and rough ware, and seem to be distributed irregularly about the field. In fact, there is nothing to suggest that the place was continuously inhabited by a population of such importance as would be expected from the multitude of small finds.

AbstractCoordinating compounds, i.e. complex word forms in which the constituent lexemes are in a coordination relation, may be divided into two classes: hyperonymic, in which the referent of the whole compound is the “sum” of the meanings of the constituent lexemes (Korowaiyumdefól‘(her) husband-wife, couple’; van Enk, Gerrit J., & Lourens de Vries. 1997.The Korowai of Irian Jaya: Their language in its cultural context. Oxford: Oxford University Press: 66), and hyponymic, where the compound designates a single referent having features of all the constituents (Englishactor-director). It has been proposed that languages choose either type as the one with the “tightest” marking pattern; whereas the crosslinguistic tendency is to have tighter hyperonymic compounds, most languages of Europe rather have tighter hyponymic compounds (Arcodia, Giorgio Francesco, Nicola Grandi, & Bernhard Wälchli 2010. Coordination in compounding. In Sergio Scalise & Irene Vogel (eds.),Cross-disciplinary issues in compounding, 177–198. Amsterdam & Philadelphia: John Benjamins). In this paper, we will test this assumption on noun-noun compounds in a sample of 20 Standard Average European languages and in a balanced sample of 60 non-SAE languages, arguing that the preference for hyperonymic compounds is best explained by the default referential function of nouns; in hyponymic compounds, on the other hand, nouns are used to indicate properties. We will then compare nominal and adjectival coordinating compounds, showing that for the latter the hyponymic compounding pattern is the dominant one, as adjectives are prototypical property-denoting words.

The purpose of the scientific article is to consider the stages of formation of the term "environment" in Kyrgyz literature and journalism. The article considers the specifics of journalistic literature of Kyrgyzstan as part of the general socio-cultural context of the country, and reviews journalism and socially oriented poetry of the Kyrgyz people. The place of the concept "environment" in the works of authors of Kyrgyzstan is determined. An analysis of the main periods of development of journalism in Kyrgyzstan was made, which allowed us to trace the etymology of the term "environment". The topic of the development of environmental issues in the works of Kyrgyzstan is relevant in the modern world, as the rapid development of industry and the increasing level of urbanization contributes to environmental degradation. Within the framework of a global scale, consideration of this problem in the framework of literary analysis will allow us to formulate the importance of the educational function of journalism in solving environmental issues. Environmental issues are popular. However, the topic of formation and development of the environment in Kyrgyz literature and journalism has not been studied. That is why the scientific novelty of the work is to develop a periodization of the evolution of ideas of environmentalism in literature and journalism. The methodological basis of the research is the analysis of literary and journalistic works of Kyrgyzstan at different stages of development of the territory under consideration.

With the rapid development of new rural construction, rural areas have been changed enormously. At the same time, the ecological environment of rural areas has suffered a lot, especially, for the water environment and the rural landscape. In this paper, Yansaihu greenway planning of Qinhuangdao City has been used as an example, to demonstrate how to combine the nature, the Yansaihu water, the fields, and the rural areas in series by means of the greenway planning. While using and protecting Yansaihu natural landscape, it promotes agricultural leisure industry and extends the historical and cultural context, protects water resources in the ecological environment, and promotes the purpose of harmonization of nature, landscapes, farmland, and rural landscape, in order to achieve both of the rural environment and ecology landscape as well as rural economic development.

Among the many new phenomena observed in Russia over the past decade is the rapid development of financial law, which has occupied a very modest place among other branches of law and legal sciences for many years. Until then, the legislation containing the rules of financial law had been few, with mainly government decrees and instructions from the central financial and credit authorities. Financial law did not generate much interest as a subject of study and scientific research. There has been a different picture in recent years. The legislative basis for regulating financial relations is actively being formed, and interest in financial law has increased sharply from management structures in all areas of economic activity, state authorities and local self-government bodies and citizens, especially entrepreneurs.
