We present a novel type of energy trap providing targeted energy transfer (TET) in a system of weakly coupled pendulums. Our approach is based on the analogy, presented in [1, 2], between the behavior of two weakly coupled classical parametric pendulums and nonadiabatic Landau-Zener tunneling (LZT) in a two-state quantum system. The two systems, however dissimilar, turn out to be described by the same asymptotic equations. Well-known properties of LZT allow us to predict the possibility of efficient irreversible transfer of vibration energy from one subsystem to another in mechanical systems. The TET takes place when the eigenfrequency of a subsystem changes in time so that the coupled subsystems pass through internal resonance. The existence of such a phenomenon is not restricted to coupled pendulums but is inherent to a wide class of both linear and nonlinear parametric oscillatory systems. This opens up the possibility of designing new types of energy traps and absorbers for the dynamic protection of various mechanical systems. Experimental data obtained in this work corroborate theoretical predictions.

Abstract This paper is the second of a series of two papers which designed a new type of load balancing mechanisms for planetary gearings with arbitrary number of planets. In this paper the common expression of the non-uniform load share factor was deduced, and a function parameter:force-arm factor and their solution was given. That makes it possible that the dimensions and the ability of load equilibrium of Multi-Link Load Balancing Mechanisms can be determined. The criteria of optimum load balancing Mechanisms selection were set up with consider of the effects of turning pair clearances, and optimum mechanisms were selected among the 15 candidates obtained in Part 1. Finally, it was demonstrated that the optimum multi-link load balancing mechanisms for arbitrary number of planets had the similar topological structures and same function and performence of load equilibrium.

The purpose of the study is to reveal the influence of virtualization on the role and contribution of municipal museums to the activities of the historical education of citizens and the development of cultural tourism. Based on the analysis of scientific literature, the study examines the features of the functioning of municipal museums and analyzes the phenomenon of its virtualization. The study deals with the transformation of municipal museums into territorial socio-cultural centers. Based on the analysis of the work of the Museum Association "Museums of the Korolev science city", the contribution of municipal museums to the historical education of the population has been analyzed, recommendations for the creation of virtual exhibitions based on the website of the said Museum Association have been proposed. In the end, it was concluded that virtualization of municipal museums is a modern advertising tool that informs about the tourist benefits of the city and the region, increases the possibilities of museums for the historical education of citizens, and forms a new type of motivation for cultural tourism.

The article attempts to interpret the character of Anne Shirley in terms of gender studies, mainly taking into account such an issue as the pro‑feminist element in the work of Lucy Maud Montgomery herself, which had an impact on the creation of a new type of heroine breaking the 19th‑century Victorian patterns of that time. Another reading from Anne of Green Gables resulted in a completely new text of culture, Anne with an E (Netflix, CBC), extracting forgotten or unread voices from the pages of novels. The author of the article compares specific situations from the book with TV series’ moments and their mutual impact on the transmitted content and to the constant emancipation of the main character.

This article discusses the evolution of self-inscription from the soul-searching autobiographical narratives characteristic of personal diaries to the highly referential and indirect language articulated in today’s social media. To trace the origins of this shift, this study considers blogs of the first decade of the 21st century where traditional diary narrative started to transform into a new type of ego-text. It suggests that the spread of online quizzes and questionnaires in the beginning of the 21st century played an important role in the creation of the referential Self characteristic of today’s online rhetoric. Entering the realm of traditional ego-text, these prestructured tools replaced evident self-narration with a disguised indirect version, providing ready-made identity templates and establishing clear rules of information circulation.

The challenges for profile steel beam processing plants lie in the creation of efficient plant layouts, lengthy commissioning processes and the large number of users distributed around the world. A new layout method and the possibility of virtual commissioning together with an optimized design as well as initial insights into a new type of component tracking lead to an innovative overall concept for tomorrow‘s production.

AbstractAn anomalous glass was discovered through high-pressure heat treatment (5.5 GPa at 850 K) followed by rapid cooling of a Zr50Cu40Al10 metallic glass. Despite a reduction in the crystallization temperature and enthalpy, high-resolution transmission electron microscopy analysis revealed that the collected bulk sample maintained a fully amorphous structure. The density of the sample was 0.6% larger than that of the as-cast state and was even larger than that of the partially crystallized state. These results suggest the formation of an ultradense packing glass that cannot be obtained through conventional annealing. Compression test results indicated a significant increase in the Young’s modulus and fracture strength, supporting the creation of an anomalous metallic glass. In addition, plasticity was observed in the treated sample. It was therefore concluded that the high-pressure heat treatment enabled the creation of a new type of glass that is normally overshadowed by the crystallized phase at atmospheric pressure. We explained the creation of the ultradense glass by introducing a pressure parameter (P) to the conventional volume (v) - temperature (T) diagram.
