Brewing is a complex process that involves many stages and successive operations. The issues of intensifying the brewing processes are of great importance in improving the ways to obtain a high-quality finished beer product and maintain high standards of its quality in the future. The relevance of the subject matter is conditioned by the stable demand for high-quality beer products in society and the urgent need to create effective technologies for the production of high-quality beer, taking into account the introduction of the latest technologies for the intensification of brewing processes. The purpose of the study is to determine the main factors that are important from the standpoint of intensifying the processes of quality brewing, in the context of assessing the prospects for their subsequent consideration when planning the beer production processes. The leading approach of this study is a combination of a systematic analysis of the peculiarities of brewing processes in the context of searching for opportunities for its intensification, with an analytical study of real options for intensifying the brewing processes, from the standpoint of maintaining high-quality standards of finished beer and increasing the overall production rate. The main results obtained in the course of this study should be considered the substantiation of the main factors of the brewing processes intensification in the context of creating a mathematical model for calculating the possibilities of its implementation in the activities of breweries to increase the rate of brewing high-quality beer. The prospects for further research are determined by the preservation of a stable demand for high-quality beer products, combined with an increase in the need to intensify the processes of its production, in accordance with the set standards for the quality of beer production.

AbstractThe publish or perish culture of scholarly communication results in quality and relevance to be are subordinate to quantity. Scientific events such as conferences play an important role in scholarly communication and knowledge exchange. Researchers in many fields, such as computer science, often need to search for events to publish their research results, establish connections for collaborations with other researchers and stay up to date with recent works. Researchers need to have a meta-research understanding of the quality of scientific events to publish in high-quality venues. However, there are many diverse and complex criteria to be explored for the evaluation of events. Thus, finding events with quality-related criteria becomes a time-consuming task for researchers and often results in an experience-based subjective evaluation. OpenResearch.org is a crowd-sourcing platform that provides features to explore previous and upcoming events of computer science, based on a knowledge graph. In this paper, we devise an ontology representing scientific events metadata. Furthermore, we introduce an analytical study of the evolution of Computer Science events leveraging the OpenResearch.org knowledge graph. We identify common characteristics of these events, formalize them, and combine them as a group of metrics. These metrics can be used by potential authors to identify high-quality events. On top of the improved ontology, we analyzed the metadata of renowned conferences in various computer science communities, such as VLDB, ISWC, ESWC, WIMS, and SEMANTiCS, in order to inspect their potential as event metrics.

To keep the position in being a world-wide exporter of chicken meat, Brazil must meet international quality standards, always seeking alternative resources of improvement, without increasing production costs, including litter quality, requirements of animal welfare and environment affairs, such as the use and reuse of broiler litter. Researches are performed in the areas of animal welfare, environment, animal behavior and use of modern climatization technology improving the quality of the environment created to raise broilers, also trying to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions and global warming in the environment, becoming a sustainable production system. This paper has a bibliographic revision of the subject mentioned above, intending to show a state-of-art key factors related to a new concept of broiler environment and welfare.

Based on the analysis of the properties of the copper ore from Jinggu area in Yunnan province, a suitable technical route was presented for processing of eligible copper concentrate and the main factors i.e. grinding fineness, Na2S dosage and collector dosage, affecting the quality of roughing concentration was investigated. On this basis, a close-circuit flotation test scheme was preceded, which obtained a high quality copper concentrate with Cu grade of 16.08%, copper recovery of 58.52%. The recovery of copper concentrate is much lower than the Cu recovery of roughing concentrate from the condition experiments. This may be contributed to the fact that fine slime carried by middling worsens the separation of copper minerals and gangues. The Mo was enriched in concentrate, which is significantly considered to recovery in further work.

Why is the average quality of research in open science so high? The answer seems obvious. Science is highly competitive, and publishing high quality research is the way to rise to the top. Thus, researchers face strong incentives to produce high quality work. However, this is only part of the answer. High quality in science, after all, is what researchers in the relevant field consider to be high quality. Why and how do competing researchers coordinate on common quality standards? I argue that, on the methodological level, science is a dynamic beauty contest.

The moral decadency and its degradation specifically in teenagers considered as worldwide problem nowadays. Many other cases occurred as the result of ignorance from parents, community and all those who are responsible in their upbringing and building their character such as harassment, bullying cases between teenagers and low ethic association between them. Being captivated by gender stereotypes leads to inequality and inbalance which resulted low and poor character. The duty of Prophet Muhammad saw for being sent down to people in beautifying their morals is in harmony with character building concepts mentioned in al-Qur’an. This paper analyses interactions between Musa As and the daughters of Prophet Syu’aib from surah al-Qasas which told about how to interact between genders and the balance personalities and character they owned. This research results that the perfections of Akhlāq and morals which is a symbolic of the beauty of akhlāqalso the most important point in obtaining a high quality of life.

Purpose The study aims to investigate the impact of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)-converged standards (Indian Accounting Standards (INAS)) on the accounting quality of Indian firms. The phased manner approach of implementing INAS provides us a unique setting to investigate the issue in India. Design/methodology/approach The study used difference-in-difference (DiD) methodology, where the accounting quality is compared between test firms and benchmark firms during the pre-and post-INAS adoption period. Accounting quality is operationalized through four different constructs, namely, earnings smoothing, discretionary accruals, earnings timeliness and value relevance of earnings. Findings The findings deduced from the empirical results demonstrate that accounting quality has been significantly reduced after the adoption of INAS. In particular, results show that the degree of earnings smoothing, and the magnitude of discretionary accruals have been increased among test firms in the post-adoption year. Besides, findings provide evidence that timely recognition of losses and value relevance of earnings has been reduced for test firms relative to benchmark firms after the adoption of INAS. Practical implications The results suggest that the mere adoption of high-quality standards does not ensure higher accounting quality in countries with a weaker enforcement mechanism. Hence, stringent enforcement mechanisms are needed to ensure full compliance with accounting standards. This study serves as a case study for other emerging countries that are in the process of IFRS convergence and make them aware of the unintended consequences of IFRS adoption. Originality/value Indian authorities implemented INAS in a phased manner that provides a unique setting to use DiD methodology. DiD helps to control the impact of concurrent economic shocks, while examining the impact of the particular regulatory shock. Besides, this is the first attempt to investigate the impact of INAS on the accounting quality of Indian firms.

Разработка безотходных и малоотходных технологий - одна из важнейших задач развития пищевой промышленности. Апсайклинг (англ. upcycling) - вторичное использование чего-либо для создания новых продуктов с целью снижения отходов. Зерновая дробина - ценное сырье для производства мучных кулинарных изделий, так как в своем составе содержит пищевые волокна. Отработанные пивные дрожжи представляют собой высококачественный пищевой продукт, компоненты которого благоприятно воздействуют на пищеварение. Апсайклинг пивной дробины как сырьевого компонента позволяет получить в том числе и хлебобулочные изделия, которые по органолептическим и физико-химическим показателям не отличаются от изделий, изготовленных по традиционной рецептуре. Апсайклинг пивных дрожжей целесообразен при производстве мучных кулинарных изделий, благодаря насыщенному химическому составу, может применяться в качестве обогащения изделий, при приготовлении по традиционным рецептурам. В данном исследовании было изучено влияние добавок пивной дробины и остаточных пивных дрожжей на качество хлеба. Применение остаточных пивных дрожжей и пивной дробины обеспечивает выработку хлеба высокого качества и, вероятно, способствует дополнительному обогащению мучных кулинарных изделий белками, пищевыми волокнами, микроэлементами, витаминами. Рассматриваемая тема по использованию апсайклинга пивоваренных ресурсов актуальна для предприятий общественного питания, имеющих пивоварни в плане выработки продукции, которую можно отнести к группе с функциональными характеристиками, так как пивная дробина и остаточные пивные дрожжи - это источник естественных нутриентов. Апсайклинг в пищевой промышленности - это актуальный и современный технологический прием, позволяющий решить множество проблем, а в первую очередь внести пользу в рацион питания, без изменения привычных органолептических характеристик кулинарных изделий. One of the most important tasks in the development of the food industry is the development of waste-free and low-waste technologies. Upcycling is the reuse of something to create new products in order to reduce waste. Grain grain is a valuable raw material for the production of flour culinary products, as it contains dietary fiber. Waste brewer's yeast is a high-quality food product, the components of which are beneficially involved in digestion. Upcycling of brewer's grains as a raw material component allows obtaining, among other things, bakery products, which, in terms of organoleptic and physicochemical indicators, do not differ from products made according to traditional recipes. Upcycling of brewer's yeast in the production of flour culinary products is expedient due to its rich chemical composition, which can be used as product enrichment when cooking according to traditional recipes. In this study, the effect of the addition of brewer's grains and residual brewer's yeast on the quality of bread was examined. The use of residual brewer's yeast and brewer's grains ensures the production of high-quality bread and probably contributes to the additional enrichment of flour culinary products with proteins, dietary fibers, microelements, vitamins. The topic under consideration on the use of upcycling of brewing resources is relevant for public catering enterprises that have breweries in terms of product development, which can be attributed to a group with functional characteristics, since brewer's grains and residual brewer's yeast are a source of natural nutrients. Upcycling in the food industry is a relevant and modern technological method that allows you to solve many problems, and, first of all, bring benefits to the diet, without changing the usual organoleptic characteristics of culinary products.

BackgroundNo meta-analytical study has examined whether the quality of the studies examining psychotherapy for adult depression is associated with the effect sizes found. This study assesses this association.MethodWe used a database of 115 randomized controlled trials in which 178 psychotherapies for adult depression were compared to a control condition. Eight quality criteria were assessed by two independent coders: participants met diagnostic criteria for a depressive disorder, a treatment manual was used, the therapists were trained, treatment integrity was checked, intention-to-treat analyses were used, N⩾50, randomization was conducted by an independent party, and assessors of outcome were blinded.ResultsOnly 11 studies (16 comparisons) met the eight quality criteria. The standardized mean effect size found for the high-quality studies (d=0.22) was significantly smaller than in the other studies (d=0.74, p<0.001), even after restricting the sample to the subset of other studies that used the kind of care-as-usual or non-specific controls that tended to be used in the high-quality studies. Heterogeneity was zero in the group of high-quality studies. The numbers needed to be treated in the high-quality studies was 8, while it was 2 in the lower-quality studies.ConclusionsWe found strong evidence that the effects of psychotherapy for adult depression have been overestimated in meta-analytical studies. Although the effects of psychotherapy are significant, they are much smaller than was assumed until now, even after controlling for the type of control condition used.

Abstract Background In healthcare regulation, the subject of patient and family involvement figures increasingly prominently on the agenda. However, the literature on involving patient and families in regulation is still in its infancy. A systematic analysis of how patient and family involvement in regulation is accomplished across different health systems is lacking. We provide such an overview by mapping and classifying methods of patient and family involvement in regulatory practice in four countries; Norway, England, the Netherlands, and Australia. We thus provide a knowledge base that enables discussions about possible types of involvement, and advantages and difficulties of involvement encountered in practice.Methods The research design was a multiple case study of patient and family involvement in regulation in four countries. The authors collected 1) academic literature if available and 2) documents of regulators that describe user involvement. Based on the data collected, the authors from each country completed a pre-agreed template to describe the involvement methods. The following information was extracted and included if available: 1) Method of involvement, 2) Type of regulatory activity, 3) Purpose of involvement, 4) Who is involved and 5) Lessons learnt.Results Our mapping of involvement methods showed a range of methods being used in regulation, which we classified into four categories: individual proactive, individual reactive, collective proactive, and collective reactive methods. Reported advantages include: increased quality of regulation, increased legitimacy, perceived justice for those affected, and empowerment. Difficulties were also reported concerning: how to incorporate the input of users in decisions, the fact that not all users want to be involved, time and costs required, organizational procedures standing in the way of involvement, and dealing with emotions.Conclusions Our mapping of user involvement methods found a broad variety of involvement methods. These can serve as inspiration to regulators in healthcare. The paper shows that making involvement in regulation successful is a challenging and complex task. The fact that regulators are experimenting with different methods can be valued positively in this regard.

The paper analyzes the possibility of intensifying students’ independent work using computer-generated special type of exercises based on prototypes of cognitive structures. Three basic types of tasks (training exercises) that can be automatically generated for the student with the basic structure of cognitive prototype. The evaluation of the academic performance of students who perform independent work course “Parasitology” based on cognitive prototypes, and assess the effectiveness of this type of training exercises to enhance the success of the subject. Experimental results demonstrate the high quality of student perceptions of educational material in the form of MK and qualitatively higher (12 %) success rates in compiling module control the experimental group that performed in the preparation of independent work from the MK.
