Archival inquiries have always been the basis of every historian's work. Researching the past is not possible without analyzing the sources, and these – although they often relate to one event – are often scattered across many archival institutions. The purpose of this article is to analyze all kinds of archival materials stored at the Józef Piłsudski Institute in New York, which relate to the history of the Polish-Russian war of 1919-1920. Although 100 years have passed since those events, there are still some ambiguities in Polish historiography about this conflict that require clarification or at least clarification. The materials stored at the Pilsudski Institute in New York were for many years the least used and least released into the scientific circulation for many years. Perhaps this text will reverse this trend, which will certainly benefit the quality of research.

Technology has been widely used to teach reading skills to students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), but the quality of research backing up this practice has not yet been fully investigated. The purpose of this review was to examine the quality of research on technology-aided reading interventions for students with ASD and summarize study characteristics of research studies with meeting the What Works Clearinghouse (WWC) design standards. A total of 31 studies using group design ( n = 4) or single-case design ( n = 27) were systematically aggregated, and 16 studies (52%) met the WWC design standards. Study features related to participants, intervention, technology usage, and outcome variables were synthesized for these 16 studies. Results indicated that two types of technology (i.e., computer, iPad) were used to deliver reading instruction through software programs or support interventionist-directed reading instruction. Finally, implications for research and practice are discussed.

Funds with the ‘mudharabah’ principle are investment funds so that Islamic banks share the proceeds only to the owners of funds that use the ‘mudharabah’ principle. The collection of funds is applied to savings and deposit products that use ‘mudharabah’ contracts. The amount of income received by the owner of the ‘mudharabah’ fund is part of the income received in cash from the distribution of funds by Islamic banks. Therefore, the funds collected with the ‘mudharabah’ principle are one of the elements in calculating profit sharing. The problem raised in the research is how to implement the ‘mudharabah’ contract and its impact on fund-raising products in Islamic banking. Two main things affect the quality or results of research: the quality of research instruments and the quality of data collection. The quality of research instruments relates to the validity and reliability of the instruments and the quality of data collection regarding the accuracy of the methods used to collect data. Therefore, an instrument tested for validity and reliability may not necessarily produce valid and reliable data if the instrument is not appropriately used in collecting data. The type of research was the quantitative technique used through interviews, observations, and documentation. In analyzing the data obtained, the authors used descriptive techniques. The results showed that applying ‘mudharabah’ contracts to fund-raising products at Islamic banks is only applied to savings and deposit products, and the advantages of products that use ‘mudharabah’ contracts are basically to make it easier for customers to transact. These products can be used as financing guarantees. There are supporting and inhibiting factors in the products that use ‘mudharabah’ contracts. These supporting factors include the existence of Islamic sharia principles, which are used as a reference for implementing a profit-sharing system on all products, especially savings and deposit products, and the existence of infrastructure facilities within the company that are pretty complete. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors include the lack of socialization regarding Islamic banks' existence. Kata-kata kunci: mudharabah, implementasi, dampak, produk penghimpunan dana, perbankan syariah.

AbstractResearch integrity is a well-established term used to talk and write about ethical issues in research. Part of its success might be its broad applicability. In this paper, we suggest that this might also be its Achilles heel, since it has the potential to conceal important value conflicts. We identify three broad domains upon which research integrity is applied in the literature: (1) the researcher (or research group), (2) research, and (3) research-related institutions and systems. Integrity in relation to researchers concerns character, although it remains to specify precisely what character traits are the desirable ones in this context and what values researchers should endorse. Integrity in relation to research concerns correct and sufficient description of the research process, data, results, and overall ‘research record’. Hence, it concerns the quality of research. However, whether or not this notion of research integrity covers all ethical aspects of research depends on whether one endorses a wider or a narrower interpretation of the ‘research process’. Integrity in relation to research-related institutions and systems leaves open whether they should be understood as agents in their own right or merely as means to research integrity. Besides the potential lack of clarity that our analysis reveals, we point to how this variety in uses might lead to concealment of value conflicts and propose an open discussion of central values.

Abstract With a rapid increase in our nation's diversity and in particular the diversity of the aging population, research focused on the well-being and quality of life for all older adults is imperative. Within GSA, The Minority Issue in Gerontology Advisory Panel is charged with providing support to the membership that ultimately will yield an increase in the quantity and quality of research related to minority aging issues. Therefore, understanding best practices for minority-focused gerontological research and gerontological education curriculum is warranted. The advancement of the field is predicated on the ability to have trained professionals with skills and competencies that effectively meet the needs of a diverse aging population. This symposium will include a presentation highlighting practical strategies for strengthening gerontology research by intentionally incorporating anti-racist methodological approaches. The second presentation will consist of recommendations on how to support, promote, and advance gerontology education in a manner that increases the diversity of those pursuing a research or an applied career in this area of study. Presenters will share an overview of the literature, findings from program implementation focus groups, and recommendations for tailoring strategies to fit your intended audience. This session will prove beneficial as we make strides to ensure that diversity, equity, and inclusion remain a core value and an inherent practice of all gerontology professionals.

The community service activity was conducted in the form of online training on Zoom and Youtube platforms. The participants were 80 lecturers, teachers, and university students from 28 different institutions. It aimed to facilitate the participants to be able to improve the quality of their scientific articles and to submit their articles to ‘carefully chosen’ journals. It lasted for 100 minutes. There were six important points regarding how the quality of research articles could be maintained and improved. Firstly, the participants should do a lot of reading before writing. Secondly, they should have strong rationales of conducting their studies. Thirdly, they needed to use combination of descriptive and analytical expressions. Fourth, they should write or review only relevant literature in meaty way. Next, they should ensure that all of the in-text citations correspond to the references. Last but not least, they should implement ethical principles in research. Furthermore, regarding how the participants could choose which journal was ‘best’ for their articles, four important points were discussed: choosing a journal which ‘matched’ the quality of the article, choosing a journal with regular publication, adhering to the chosen journal’s template, and asking the journal editors about the duration of the review process.

The authors have published a number of scientific articles devoted to the quality of research of personnel management systems (HRMS) in bachelor's theses. In this article, the authors used the methodological scientific approach in the study of final qualification works (WQP) of bachelor students of the Department of Personnel Management and Psychology of the Ural Federal University (UrFU). The methodological scientific approach is based on a quantitative analysis of the application of the following components of the research methodology: theoretical sources, scientific approaches, principles and methods. In the presented work, the purpose of the study is highlighted, which consists in the qualitative and quantitative application of the main components of the methodology for the study of EMS. In the work, the authors applied research methods: the case-method of bachelor's theses, the classification method in the form of tables. One of the tables presents the concept of "research" by leading experts in the study of control systems and one of the authors of this article. The following table summarizes the results of the study. The study also revealed that most often graduates choose the direction of "staff labor motivation" and "personnel training and development" in the organization for research and improvement of the EMS. According to the results of the study of the FQP of diploma students, there are conclusions, on the basis of which the authors of the article have developed recommendations for students and teachers to improve the writing of thesis on personnel management for bachelors.
