The purpose of this study was to compare the learning achievement using cooperative learning model Student Teams Achievement Divisions with cooperative learning model Student Teams Achievement Divisions modification of guided discovery in terms of verbal abality. Based on the results of the study concluded that (1) based on a model of learning, the mathematics achievement of students who use cooperative learning model Student Teams Achievement Divisions as good with mathematics achievement of students who use cooperative learning model Student Teams Achievement Divisions modifications guided discovery, both on students who have the high verbal skills, medium and low, (2) base on terms of verbal skills, mathematics achievement of students who have high verbal ability is better than mathematics achievement of students who have medium and low verbal ability, and mathematics achievement of students have medium verbal skillsbetter than mathematics achievement of students have the ability low verbal skills.   Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbandingan prestasi belajar yang menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Teams Achievement Divisions dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Teams Achievement Divisions modifikasi penemuan terbimbing ditinjau dari kemamuan verbal. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa (1) berdasarkan model pembelajaran, prestasi belajar matematika peserta didik yang menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Teams Achievement Divisions sama baiknya dengan prestasi belajar matematika peserta didik yang dikenai model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Teams Achievement Divisions modifikasi penemuan terbimbing, baik pada peserta didik yang memiliki kemampuan verbal tinggi, sedang dan rendah, (2) ditinjau dari kemampuan verbal, peserta didik yang memiliki kemampuan verbal tinggi lebih baik daripada peserta didik yang memiliki kemampuan verbal sedang dan rendah, dan peserta didik yang memiliki kemampuan verbal sedang lebih baik daripada peserta didik yang memiliki kemampuan verbal rendah.

The objectives of this research were to investigate the effect of the learning models on the learning achievement in Mathematics viewed from the spatial ability of the students. This research used the quasi-experimental research method with the factorial design of 3 x 3. Its population was all of the students in grade XI of State Senior High Schools of Wonosobo regency in Academic Year 2017/2018. The samples of the research were taken by using the cluster random sampling technique. They consisted of 326 students. The data of the research were analyzed by using the two-way analysis of variance with unbalanced cells.The results of the research are as follows.1) The cooperative learning model of the STAD type results in a better learning achievement in Mathematics than the cooperative learning model of the TAI type and the direct learning model and the cooperative learning model of the STAD type results in a better learning achievement in Mathematics than the conventional learning model.2) The learning achievement in Mathematics of the students with the high spatial ability was better than that of the students with the moderate and low spatial abilities, and the learning achievement in Mathematics of the students with the moderate spatial ability was better than that of the students with the low spatial ability. 3) There was an interaction the aforementioned learning models and the categories of the spatial ability on the learning achievement in Mathematics of the students.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keefektifan cooperative learning  tipe Course Review Horay (CRH) dan tipe Numbered Heads Together  (NHT) yang ditinjau dari sikap siswa terhadap matematika dan prestasi belajar matematika. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu dengan desain pretest-posttest non equivalent group design. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua kelompok eksperimen. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah tes prestasi belajar matematika dan angket sikap siswa terhadap matematika. Untuk menguji keefektifan pembelajaran matematika dengan kedua model pembelajaran digunakan analisis one sample t-test. Selanjutnya untuk membandingkan keefektifan pembelajaran matematika dengan kedua model pembelajaran data dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji T2 Hotelling, dan independent t-testuntuk menentukan model pembelajaran manakah yang lebih efektif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif CRH dan NHT efektif ditinjau dari sikap siswa terhadap matematika dan prestasi belajar matematika dan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe CRH lebih efektif dibanding model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT ditinjau dari sikap siswa terhadap matematika dan prestasi belajar matematika siswa.Kata kunci: pembelajaran kooperatif, CRH, NHT, sikap siswa terhadap matematika, prestasi belajar matematika siswa The effectieveness of cooperative learning CRH and NHT in terms of attitudes and mathematics learning achievement of students AbstractThis study aims to describe the effectiveness of cooperative learning Course Review Horay (CRH) type and Numbered Heads Together (NHT) type in terms of student’s attitudes toward mathematics and mathematics learning achievement. This study was a quasi-experimental study using the pretest-posttest non-equivalent group design. It involved two experimental groups. The data collecting instruments consisted of a mathematics learning achievement test and questionnaires for students’ attitudes towards mathematics. To test the effectiveness of the mathematics learning through the CRH and NHT cooperative learning model, the one-sample t-test was carried out. Then, to compare the effectiveness of the two model, the data were analyzed using the T2 Hotelling test, and the independent t test to find out which of the two model was more effective. The results of the study show that mathematics learning through the CRH and NHT cooperative learning is effective in terms of student’s attitudes toward mathematics and mathematics learning achievement and the CRH cooperative learning model is more effective than the NHT cooperative learning model in terms of student’s attitudes toward mathematics and mathematics achievement of student’s. The aim of the research was to determine the effect of learning models (STAD by problem solving method, STAD, and conventional) on mathematics achievement viewed from student creative attitude. The type of the research was a quasi experimental research. The population was the students in grade VIII junior high school in Central Lampung Regency. The conclusions of the research were as follows. (1) Students who taught by cooperative learning model of STAD by problem solving method type give better mathematics learning achievement than STAD type and conventional and then students who taught by cooperative learning model of STAD type give better mathematics learning achievement than conventional (2) For students who middle and low creative attitude, students who taught by cooperative learning model of STAD by problem solving method type give better mathematics learning achievement than STAD type and conventional and then students who taught by cooperative learning model of STAD type give better mathematics learning achievement than conventional.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keefektifan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Teams-Achievement Divisions (STAD) dan Team-Assisted Individualization (TAI) dalam pendekatan penemuan terbimbing pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar ditinjau dari prestasi belajar, kemampuan berpikir kritis, dan kepercayaan diri siswa, dan membandingkan keefektifan antara kedua model pembelajaran tersebut. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu. Populasi mencakup seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 11 Yogyakarta dan sampel diambil dua kelas secara acak dari 4 kelas yang ada. Analisis univariat dengan statistik uji one sample t-test dan uji paired sample t test pada taraf signifikansi 5% dilakukan untuk menguji keefektifaan model pembelajaran. Uji Multivariat Analysis of Variance (MANOVA) dilakukan untuk membandingkan keefektifaan kedua model pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dan TAI dalam pendekatan penemuan terbimbing pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar masing-masing efektif ditinjau dari ketiga variabel terikat. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan signifikan prestasi belajar dan kemampuan berpikir kritis antara kelompok model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dan TAI, namun tidak terdapat perbedaan signifikan jika ditinjau dari kepercayaan diri siswa. Cooperative learning using a guided discovery approach viewed from the learning achievement, critical thinking ability, and self-confidenceAbstractThis study aimed to describe the effectiveness of the cooperative learning model of Student Teams-Achievement Divisions (STAD) and Team-Assisted Individualization (TAI) types using the guided discovery approach in learning polyhedra viewed from the learning achievement, critical thinking ability, and self-confidence of the students, and compare the effectiveness of both learning models. This study was quasi-experimental. The research population comprised four classes of eighth-grade students of SMP Negeri 11 (Junior High School) in Yogyakarta, Indonesia and the sample of two classes was established randomly from the four classes. Univariate analysis with statistical one-sample t-test and paired sample t-test at a significance level of 5% was carried out to test the effectiveness of the learning model. The Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA) test was performed to compare the effectiveness of the two learning models. The results showed that the cooperative learning model of STAD and TAI types using the guided discovery approach on the material of polyhedra respectively effective in terms of the three dependent variables. The results also showed that there were significant differences in learning achievement and critical thinking skills between the cooperative learning model of STAD and TAI types groups, but there were no significant differences in terms of students’ self-confidence.

The purposes of this study are to determine: (1) which one have a better mathematics achievement, students who taught by cooperative learning model STAD or TPS type. (2) which one have a better mathematics achievement, students who have high, middle, or low achievement motivation. (3) is there any interaction between learning model and achievement motivation towards mathematics achievement. This study is a quasi experimental research with 2x3 factorial design. The population of this study is all students XI Grade SMA N 1 Kwadungan in academic year 2016/2017. Sampling was done by random technique. The total of sample is 28 students, with details of 14 students for class experiment one and 14 students for class experiment two. The instruments used to collect data are test of prior knowledge in mathematics, achievement motivation questionnaire and mathematics achievement test. The trial of test instrument includes content validity, difficulty level, discrimination power, and reliability. The testing of hypothesis uses two-way analysis of variance with unequal cell. The testing of hypothesis concludes that (1) Students who taught by cooperative learning model of TPS type have better mathematics achievement than students who taught by cooperative learning model of STAD type. (2) Students who have high achievement motivation have better mathematics achievement than students who have middle and low achievement motivation, also students who have middle achievement motivation have better mathematics achievement than students who have low achievement motivation. (3) There isn’t interaction between learning model and achievement motivation towards mathematics achievement.

The low learning outcomes of students, it is due to the learning process that is dominated by traditional learning. At this learning atmosphere tends to teacher-centered classroom so that students become passive, therefore it is necessary to implement a learning strategy that can help students to understand the teaching material and its application in everyday life. Based on this, in this study it will be discussed whether there are differences in mathematics achievement subject matter sub gradient between students who are taught by STAD cooperative learning model and the conventional model of learning in class XI SMA Kartika IV-3 Surabaya. The purpose of this study was to determine differences in mathematics achievement between students who are taught by STAD cooperative learning model and conventional learning models. This study uses quantitative research. As the population is students in class XI MIA Kartika IV-3 Surabaya The sample consisted of students of class XI MIA 1, amounting to 25 students as the experimental class and the students of class XI MIA 2, amounting to 25 students as the control class.  Data collection method used is to use the test method. Data in the form of student test results done once the post-test is to determine the value of learning mathematics achievement of students in each sample after treatments or treatments performed. From the analysis we found differences in mathematics achievement between students who are taught by STAD cooperative learning model and conventional learning models, in this case increased learning achievement in cooperative learning model STAD. With the calculation of the t-test is greater than the table or 4.98> 1.98 then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. The conclusion from this study is that there are differences in mathematics achievement subject matter sub gradient between students who are taught by STAD cooperative learning model and conventional learning models, characterized by differences in mathematics achievement. Abstrak: Sesuatu yang dibutuhkan dalam matematika untuk kesuksesan hidup menghendaki lingkungan pembelajaran yang mendukung dan mendorong kompetensi matematika baik secara teori maupun praktik. Dalam pendidikan, mengajar matematika harus dengan cara yang kreatif dan mampu menciptakan suasana lingkungan dimana siswa tertarik untuk belajar matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika melalui implementasi pembelajaran kooperatif dengan model pembelajaran STAD. Metode yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan 2 siklus, setiap siklus terdiri atas 3 pertemuan. Hasil dari siklus 1  ditemukan bahwa 28 siswa (82.35%)mencapai batas ketuntasan (KKM) dengan rata-rata nilai 80. Pada siklus2, rata-rata nilai mencapai 87 dengan 34 siswa (100%) mencapai batas ketuntasan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dan diskusi dalam peneilitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa impelentasi pembelajaran kooperatif dengan model pembelajaran STAD dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika.Abstract: The overwhelming need for mathematics comprehension for a successful life requires a learning environment that support and encourages both theoretical and practical math competency. In education, teaching mathematic should be creative and able to provide an environment where students are interested to learn mathematics.This study aimed to improve mathematic learning outcomes through the implementation of cooperative learning type STAD learning model. The method used in this research was a Classroom Action Research by conducting three meeting for each in two cycles. The result of the study in first cycle was found that 28 students (82.35%) meet the school competency with average grade 80. In the second cycle, the average of learning achievement reached 87 with 34 students (100%) meet the school competency. Based on the analysis and discussion of the research, it is concluded that the implementation of cooperative learning type STAD learning model can improve mathematic learning outcomes.

<p><strong>Abstract: </strong>The aim of this research was to reveal the effect of TGT cooperative learning model with talking chips technique, TGT cooperative learning model, and direct learning model to the mathematics achievement in polyhedron subject viewed from mathematics communication ability. The type of this research was a quasi-experimental by 3x3 factorial design. The population was the eighth grade of Junior High School students at Wonogiri regency on academic year 2013/2014. The sample was taken by using stratified cluster random sampling technique. The instruments used for collecting data were mathematics achievement test and mathematics communication ability test. Analysis of the data used was unbalanced two-way analysis of variance. The conclusion of this research shows that TGT cooperative learning model with talking chips technique gives the same achievement as TGT cooperative learning model, but gives better achievement than direct instruction model, and TGT cooperative learning model gives better achievement than direct instruction model. It shows the same result in each categories of mathematics communication ability. Another conclusion shows that students with high mathematics communication ability have the same achievement as students with middle mathematics communication ability but they have better achievement than students with low mathematics communication ability, and students with middle mathematics communication ability have better achievement than students with low mathematics communication ability. Think pair share (TPS) type of cooperative learning model is a useful teaching strategy to train students to reconstruct their knowledge they have learnt. It gives students time to think, respond and help each other. It has three important phases; think which means thinking problems individually;  pair which means discussing and drawing a hypothesis of a problem in pair; and share which means pairs of student share their ideas and the other students respond to their presentation in the class. The population of this research was all students of grade X at MAN Kota Padang. Problems which rise in grade X MAN Kota Padang are students low concept acquisition and mathematics comunication ability in learning mathematic. In order to overcome those problems, it was planned to apply think pair share. Therefore, this research was intended to know the influence of TPS toward the students’ concept acquisition and mathematics comunication ability. This research was quasy experimental. Data analysis used test of t test dan Mann Withney  U. Based on analysis data showed that : (1) The students’ concept acquisition and mathematics comunication ability who studied by using TPS better than those who were taught by using conventional learning.(2) The concept acquisiton and mathematics comunication of the high prior knowledge, medium prior knowledge dan the low prior knowledge of student who studied by using TPS better than those who were taught by using conventional learning. Based on the result of the study, the researcher suggest TPS cooperative learning model a considerable teaching model because it has effectively improved students’ concept acquisition and mathematics comunication ability.
