With the purpose of clarifying the energy-saving influencing factors of the participants in the construction project, qualitative analysis and scientific measurement analysis were combined in this paper to define and identify the energy-saving influencing factors of the construction project lifecycle. First, a qualitative analysis of the research literature of the natural science index (SCI) and social science citation index (SSCI) databases was conducted through a combination of literature analysis and expert interviews, constructing a list of the energy-saving influencing factors in the lifecycle of construction projects. Second, the knowledge map of the energy-saving research literature of construction projects in the past 20 years from the Web of Science (WOS) database was drawn through Citespace. Then the hotspots of energy-saving research in international construction projects were identified through keyword co-occurrence map as energy saving, energy efficiency, and energy consumption. The main research subjects were divided into four categories: energy-saving management and incentive policies, project users’ energy-saving behaviors and awareness, various energy-saving new materials and technologies, and energy-saving management and control at the operation and maintenance stage. Next, nine main clusters on energy-saving research were identified through cluster analysis, mainly distributed in various energy-saving technology research, energy-saving behavior and power research of owners and residents, policy and regulation research, and energy-saving management and control research in the operation and maintenance stage. Finally, the knowledge mapping analysis results were classified and defined according to the action scope of each stage of the construction project, and the identification of the energy-saving influencing factors in the construction project lifecycle was completed.

This chapter serves as an introduction to the book and the Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (TPACK) conceptual framework around which the book is designed. The discussion situates the use of technology for music learning within a context of technology’s role in general education, society, and our daily lives. Drawing on the research literature, the point is made that technology hasn’t become a truly integrated aspect of many music classrooms. Taking the position that a major reason for this is that most music teachers don’t have the complete knowledge and skill set (TPACK) necessary to effectively incorporate technology into classes and rehearsals, the TPACK model is introduced as an approach that may be advantageous. The model is explained, with applications to music provided.

Purpose – This paper aims to offer an insight into the emergent qualitative methodological profile and its distinctive contribution to accounting and management scholarship, particularly reflecting upon the contribution of Qualitative Research in Accounting & Management (QRAM). Design/methodology/approach – It examines the range of qualitative methodologies employed in the research published across the ten years of QRAM and analyses the methodological discourse and its contribution to the armoury available to qualitative researchers. In association with these methodological developments, the paper offers a critique of the articulated role of theory in contemporary accounting and management qualitative research. Findings – A wide range of qualitative methodologies are found to be in evidence, with considerable scope for further adoption and development of some. Methodological exposition papers are found to be a significant contribution in the past decade and include methodological framework building, methodological applications, methodological critiques, and methodological development exemplars. Alongside methodology, the dual role of theory as either informing or reflecting methodology is presented. Originality/value – The paper provides a critical analysis and consideration of qualitative methodological literature development in the last ten years of accounting and management research literature, particularly reflected in QRAM. It identifies dominant methodologies in use, as well as opportunities for expanding the methodological menu in accounting and management research. Furthermore, it classifies groups of methodological papers and their contributing perspectives, as well as addressing the often-vexed relationship between theory and methodology.

At present, the existing indicator diagram can only be used for expost judgment and can not give early warning, and the influencing factors of pump inspection period are nonlinear, multi constrained and multi variable. In this paper, big data machine learning method is used to carry out relevant research. Firstly, around the influencing factors of pump inspection cycle, relevant data are collected and the evaluation index of pump inspection cycle is designed. Then, based on feature engineering technology, the production parameters of oil wells in different pump inspection periods are calculated to form the analysis sample set of pump inspection period. Finally, the early warning model of pump inspection period is established by using machine learning technology. The experimental results show that: the pump inspection cycle early warning model established by stochastic forest algorithm can identify the pump inspection status of single well, and the accuracy rate is about 85%.

The period of World War I was not only a military confrontation of soldiers of fighting countries. It also significantly affected the daily lives of millions of ordinary people. One of the manifestations of this influence was war mobility. It also concerned the inhabitants of Galicia. As a result of warfare’s, the Galicians were forced to move in different directions; as soldiers, refugees, evacuated. One of the directions of Galician migration was the Kingdom of Poland, that was conquered in 1915 by the Central Powers. The influx of people from Galicia into this area can be divided into several waves. As the first came the Polish soldiers in Austrian uniforms. The next one was made up of Galician Poles served in the Austrian occupation government. Then came to the Kingdom scholars, officials, and intelligentsia invited by the authorities of the rebuilding Polish state. The Galicians were not always well received by their countrymen from the Congress Poland. One of the reasons was prevailing stereotypes and prejudices. However, the Galician’s made a significant contribution to the work of building Polish statehood.

As a typical application of fintech, the robo-advisor has increasingly gained attention over the last decade. However, most research regarding the robo-advisor has focused on its development issues such as performance improvement and regulation, while limited research has paid attention to trust. This research extends the literature by investigating the trust influencing mechanism of robo-advisors by a mixed method approach. Specifically, we identified six salient trust influencing factors by qualitative interviews and proposed the research model based on trust transfer theory. This model was tested via a survey of 230 investors. Our study finds the significant influencing role of supervisory control and validates the relationships among trust influencing factors, trust in technologies, trust in vendor and trust in robo-advisor. Moreover, several differences between junior investors and senior investors are also found in our research. This study examines trust transfer theory in the new context of the robo-advisor and contributes to further development of this increasingly utilized service.

Under the influence of extreme weather conditions or other unfavorable factors, if a dam break occurs in a mountain river, it will cause a great number of casualties and property losses in the affected downstream areas. Usually, early warning of the affected areas downstream of the dam depends mainly on qualitative evaluation and cannot be quantitatively evaluated. Based on the authors’ calculation of floods for many years, this study presents a quantitative assessment method for flood risk. The Ertan Hydropower Station in Southwest China and the flood-affected areas were chosen as the object of this study. Based on field surveys, research literature data, and the authors’ calculations, the basic data of the Ertan Hydropower Station and the calculation results of the dam break were obtained, and 35 representative flood-affected areas were selected to study risk assessment and early warning. The fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP) was used to build a mathematical model for quantitative analysis. The population, flood arrival time, flood level, evacuation time, and local GDP (Gross Domestic Product) were selected as five typical evaluation factors. Finally, this study calculated and counted the risk level of 35 representative flood-affected areas, and the study results were applied to Quxue and Guanmaozhou Hydropower Station.

For many risk events in civil engineering construction have the property of “the connotation is explicit, the extension is vague”, the influencing factors of civil engineering construction safety accident are measured with the membership degree in fuzzy mathematics. The weight of indexes of various influencing factors is calculated with the method of analytic hierarchy process, thus a fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model for civil engineering safety accident is given, which is a new qualitative and quantitative solution method and makes it become possible for the early warning of civil engineering construction safety accident. In the end, it is demonstrated with an actual example for the availability of the model in the early warning.
