Rapid economic growth has caused many environmental problems in China, resulting in international pressure on China to fight against climate change and to shift to a more environmentally friendly economy. Therefore, over the past decades, China has been working on transforming its economy to counter the concerns of different environmental hazards caused by the burning fossil fuels and rising oil imports to support the energy sector. This study explores the shift in the Chinese government’s policies towards a low-carbon economy by adopting more environmentally friendly solar energy. A cost–benefit analysis of the solar water heater industry in China indicates that it not only brings economic benefits to society but also environmental benefits to the earth. Furthermore, this paper focuses on the use of solar energy as a kind of renewable energy, as solar energy is plentiful, which is beneficial from both an environmental and economic perspective.

The low-carbon economy becomes a hot issue in every country after Copenhagen’s meeting, and Logistics enterprise is an important economic entity to achieve a low carbon economy, so how to effectively evaluate the effect of logistics enterprises and low-carbon benefits of emission reduction become a problem that really needed to solve. Therefore, it evaluated the effects of low-carbon benefits of logistics respectively from the economic benefits, logistics operational efficiency and CO2 emission reduction by AHP. Based on it, logistics enterprise evaluation model of low-carbon benefits was built in the way of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation, and finally verified the effectiveness of the evaluation system with a case.

Under the background of low-carbon economy, it is necessary to modify and improve the existing economic benefits evaluation system for the construction projects of power generation industries. This paper firstly built an economic benefit evaluation index system for power generation projects based on low-carbon financial benefits and carbon-emission reduction efficiency. Then, it established an economic benefits evaluation model which uses entropy and AHP to determine combined weights, and Gray Relation Method for comprehensive evaluation. Finally, the empirical analysis of the construction of wind power projects verified the feasibility and effectiveness of the evaluation model.

Based on the mechanism for ECER through Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) in information-based freeway project under low-carbon economy (IFP-LCE), and on the rule for selection of evaluation indices, an index system was built for the economic evaluation. Then cost benefit analysis was used to economically evaluate ECER in information-based highway traffic projects. Finally an ETC project in a toll-gate in Xi'an was investigated to validate the feasibility of the proposed evaluation indices and method.

This thesis is focused on the relationship between the low-carbon performance indicator and financial performance indicator of the oil enterprise with social responsibility from the case of the CNPC. In the short run, the role of environment protection assumed by the oil enterprise will cause the extra cost and subsequent lower financial performance. After the correlation analysis of CSR report of CNPC from 2006 to 2011, the result shows that taking social responsibility, developing low-carbon economy, improving the efficiency of energy utilization and cleaning the energy structure will bring positive influence on the enterprise financial performance. Therefore, in the long run, there is a significant correlation between the low-carbon performance indicator and financial performance.

Low carbon economy development undoubtedly becomes the main trend of social development in future under the background of the global climate change and the increasing international pressure to reduce emissions. However, the international trade, as part of the global economy, will be carried out in accordance with the rules of low carbon economy. Therefore, it has important significance to study the relation between the carbon emission and export trade and deeply excavate carbon reduction potential of Chinese industry production for finding way to reduce carbon emission in China and striving for the carbon emission reduction space from the international. This paper constructed the input-output model to calculate the CO2 emission density of Chinese export industry according to the input-output theory, and then basically analyzed the situation of carbon emission of export industry.

This article considers how the EU governance set-up envolved with respect to environmental protection and sustainable development. It aims at evaluating the EU´s progress towards creating  the basis for a competitive, low-carbon, European economy (a kind of EU industrial strategy) and sustainable production and consumption patterns. The article concludes that environmental and energie policies have become increasingly Europeanized and come under the single market and competitiveness rationale. It puts forward that the shift to a low-carbon economy is associated with important economic benefits, whereas economic costs appear overrated. However, shortcomings in EU governance sit uneasily with a more coherent approach to sustainable development.

Abstract A low carbon economy serves to provide economic, social and environmental benefits from measures to reduce emissions of pollutants. The implementation of a low carbon economy in Poland results from the need to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases and other air pollutants while reducing the share of coal in energy production, introducing innovative technologies and improving energy efficiency as well as increasing the standard of living of the society. This is a difficult task due to the large use of coal in energy production. The article describes the goals of creating Low Carbon Economy Plans by local government units at the local level and their use in applying for financial resources in the financial perspective 2014-2020.

On analyzing the SF EXPRESS carbon emission way, the total carbon discharge and the emission reduction way on the low carbon economy development model, this paper finds the logistics enterprises a development model and points out its direction with a sort of technical methods such as technical and economic analysis and statistical analysis etc. It significantly contributes to the similar enterprises on the low carbon economy development with reference. Besides, on the detection of carbon discharge way and the evaluation of the emission, the paper proposes the development of LEC based on enterprise resources integration and rational transport. Through the optimization of the aviation and the terminal branches, the enterprises can get more economic benefits.

Low-carbon economy is based on low energy consumption, low pollution, low emission economic model . Through clean production, automobile enterprises start from the source to improve resource and energy efficiency, reduce emissions, increase the utilization of waste and ultimately to conserve resources and protect the environment. Therefore, Through the analysis of input and output factors of clean production on automobile enterprises, this paper constructed input and output index comprehensive evaluation system of the clean production under low-carbon economy and through comprehensive evaluation, automobile enterprises implement effective management, and it can achieve the economic, social and environmental benefits of clean production.
