Digitalization has increased the adoption pace of Industry 4.0 technologies, particularly in connection with Open Innovation. However, companies are still finding it challenging to know the variety of Industry 4.0 technologies available, and their fit with the scope of the organization. To address this issue, a cross-sectional research design under quantitative approach was adopted. The data were collected first-hand through a survey questionnaire from a total of 238 technology companies in Malaysia. Technology companies were selected as they have higher agility in terms of technology which suits the digital revolution nature of Industry 4.0. The findings of this descriptive study revealed a range of insights in terms of Industry 4.0 technologies and open innovation. First, this study presents the standing of technology companies in terms of 12 Industry 4.0 technologies. Second, a comparison of these technologies is analyzed in terms of company size (small, medium, and large). Third, a contrast of these technologies is ascertained based on the type of company (manufacturing and services). In brief, this research contributes in providing valuable insights that can help companies in the awareness of open innovation and adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies.

Industry 4.0 revolution, with its cutting-edge technologies, is an enabler for businesses, particularly in reducing the cost and improving the productivity. However, a large number of organizations are still too in their infancy to leverage the true potential of Industry 4.0 and its technologies. This paper takes a quantitative approach to reveal key insights from the companies that have implemented Industry 4.0 technologies. For this purpose, 238 technology companies in Malaysia were studied through a survey questionnaire. As technology companies are usually the first in line to adopt new technologies, they can be studied better as leaders in adopting the latest technologies. The findings of this descriptive study surfaced an array of insights in terms of Industry 4.0 readiness, Industry 4.0 technologies, leadership, strategy, and innovation. This research paper contributes by providing 10 key empirical insights on Industry 4.0 that can be utilized by managers to pace up their efforts towards digital transformation, and can help the policymakers in drafting the right policy to drive the digital revolution.

ABSTRACT Objective: to characterize simulation practices in nursing courses in Brazil, considering the attributes developed, facilities, and challenges encountered. Methods: this is a cross-sectional and descriptive study, with a quantitative approach. Ninety-one coordinators of undergraduate courses participated in the study. An electronic questionnaire was used with open- and closed-ended questions. Results: the most used simulation modality is Specific Skills. Private courses and courses with integrated curricula most often use High Fidelity Simulation. Understanding the mobilization of affective attributes is still insufficient. Conclusion: it is important that undergraduate course managers are aware and take ownership of the elements that permeate simulation and invest to create a favorable environment for its effectiveness.

Sociodemographic changes occurring in past decades are reflected as increased population aging, resulting in a higher need to institutionalize elderly. Violence against elderly is a relevant public health problem. The aims of the present cross-sectional exploratory and descriptive study with a quantitative approach were to analyze burnout among formal caregivers at institutions for elderly and to assess the risk of violence against institutionalized elderly. As a part of project ESACA—Envelhecer com Segurança no Alentejo (Prevenir as Quedas e a Violência sobre Idosos)—Compreender para Agir (Aging Safely in Alentejo [Preventing Falls and Violence against Elderly]), the present study analyzed 34 formal caregivers from three institutions that provide care to elderly in the Evora district, Portugal. No situations involving violence against institutionalized elderly were detected. Most participants (96.3%) did not exhibit burnout, although they did report feeling physically and emotionally tired.

ABSTRACT The objectives of this study were to identify the types of gloves the nursing team uses for the manual cleaning of health products and to identify the perforation rates in procedure/surgical gloves used for this purpose. Cross-sectional and descriptive, descriptive study with quantitative approach was developed at a large hospital in Goiânia, Goiás, Brazil. In total, 300 procedure/surgical gloves (Group A), 100 procedure and 100 new surgical gloves (Group B), and six nitrile gloves (Group C) were analyzed. Among the gloves in Group A, 135 (45.0%) were perforated. Superposition of gloves did not prevent perforations and, the longer they were used, the higher the index of perforation (p<0.05). No perforations were identified in Group B, whereas there were four perforations in 48 hours of use in Group C. This study reinforces the idea that procedure/surgical gloves are inappropriate for cleaning health products, representing an ineffective barrier for the safety of workers.

Background: Snacks in students' social life are a means of socializing students with their friends. Students tend to consume less nutritious food. The practice of this student snack begins with the attitude of the students, which begins with the students' knowledge of nutrition. This study aims to analyze the relationship between knowledge and attitudes about nutrition on students' snacking practice. Methods: This study is a descriptive study with a cross-sectional research design. The research sample consisted of 133 students, who were students in grades 8 & 9 Mts Darul Ulum. Results: The results of the Spearman rho test, the relationship between nutritional knowledge and snacking practice (p = 0.084), the relationship between nutritional attitudes towards snacking practice (p = 0.013). Conclusion: Nutritional knowledge is not related to nutritional attitudes. Nutritional attitudes are related to snacking practices. KEYWORDS: Nutrition Knowledge; Snack Attitude; Snack Practices

This investigation focuses on the question whether assessments of the development of internalizing behavior from childhood to adolescence are affected by the kind of research design (longitudinal versus cross-sectional). Two longitudinal samples of 432 second-graders and 366 fourth graders participated in a longitudinal study with subsequent measurements taken 1, 2, and 3 years later. A third sample consisting of 849 children covering the same range of grades participated in a cross-sectional study. The results show that the development of internalizing symptoms in girls – but not in boys – varies systematically with the research design. In girls, there is a decrease of internalizing symptoms (especially between the first two timepoints) in the longitudinal assessment, which may reflect, for example, the influence of strain during the first testing situation. Both longitudinal trajectories converge to a common trajectory from grade 2 to grade 7 when controlling for this “novelty-distress effect.” Moreover, when we control this effect, the slight but significant decrease characterizing the common trajectory becomes similar to the one obtained in the cross-sectional study. Therefore, trajectories based on longitudinal assessments may suggest more changes with regard to internalizing symptoms over time than actually take place, while trajectories based on cross-sectional data may be characterized by an increased level of internalizing symptoms. Theoretical and practical implications of these results are discussed.

During menstruation blood vessels in the uterus are very easily infected because germs easily enter and cause diseases of the reproductive tract. Some of the most common disorders are vaginal discharge and pruritus vulvae (vaginal itching). However, this complaint can be prevented by maintaining the cleanliness of the female organs early on, namely with good menstrual personal hygiene. This study aims to describe the level of personal hygiene knowledge about menstruation. This research is a descriptive study with a cross-sectional approach, with a total sample of 90 people taken by total sampling technique. The results showed that the majority of respondents had enough personal hygiene behavior as many as 82 people (91.1%), while good menstrual personal hygiene behavior was 3 people (3.3%), and respondents who had behaviors classified as less than 5 people ( 5.6%). Based on complaints on reproductive organs, respondents who experienced vaginal discharge were 85 people (94.4%) and itching around the genitals was around 83 people (92.2%).
