The proportional–integral plus Clegg integrator (PI + CI) controller is a hybrid extension of the proportional–integral (PI) controller that is able to overcome fundamental limitations of the linear and time-invariant control systems, potentially obtaining faster responses without increasing overshooting. This work focused on the analysis and design of PI + CI controllers and reset controllers in general, for the case of parallel multiple-input single-output (MISO) systems, extending previous design methods developed for the single-input single-output (SISO) case. Several design strategies were developed: one for first-order MISO plants achieving a flat response with a finite settling time, and for second-order MISO plants obtaining a fast response with a reduced overshoot and settling time in comparison with non-hybrid strategies. Several case studies were also developed to illustrate the potential of the proposed methods.

Ability of the proportional integral (PI) and proportional integral derivative (PID) controllers in set point tracking and disturbance rejection has led to their wide usage in industrial applications. The desired controller performance can be achieved by application of suitable tuning rules. The presence of interacting loops in a process makes it a challenging task of PI controllers design in multivariable processes. This problem highly mitigated by employing simple single input single output internal model controller (IMC). This IMC PI controller values are applied for different distillation process involving distillation columns like Wardle and Wood (WW) , Wood and Berry (WB) and Vinate-Luyben (V-L). The obtained simulation with proposed method gives better results and performance indices values compared to other control tuning strategies.

AbstractThis work deals with Single-Input-Single-Output (SISO) fractional order systems with a discontinuous relay control element in the feedback loop. Stable self-sustained oscillations often occur in the closed loop relay system, and this work takes advantage of Describing Function (DF) analysis and of another more accurate approach, called Locus of a Perturbed Relay System (LPRS) method, for analyzing in the frequency domain the characteristics of the limit cycle oscillations. The use of fractional lead compensator is also suggested for the purpose of shaping the characteristics of the limit cycle. The proposed analysis and design procedures will be supported by thoroughly discussed simulation examples.

Abstract This paper is the single-input, single-output frequency domain counterpart of a framework developed by the authors [7] for the design for performance of constrained controlled dynamic systems. Simple s-plane maps are used to graphically reveal interactions of performance requirements and constraints, thus permitting a control system designer to clearly understand performance trade-offs. Two important facts underlie our approach: (a) the dynamic performance of a closed-loop system is limited by certain constraints and (b) successful control system design must explicitly account for these constraints. The approach is applied to second-order linear systems which are the basis for much control system analysis and design of single-input, single-output linear systems.

Kontrol fuzzy memiliki nilai rise time sebesar 0,015 detik, nilai settling time sebesar 0,025 detik dengan kecepatan sebesar 2900 rpm serta error steady state sebesar 3,33% tanpa adanya overshoot dan osilasi.

AbstractFree space optical (FSO) communication refers to a line of sight technology, which comprises optical source and detector to create a link without the use of physical connections. Similar to other wireless communication links, these are severely affected by losses that emerged due to atmospheric turbulence and lead to deteriorated intensity of the optical signal at the receiver. This impairment can be compensated easily by enhancing the transmitter power. However, increasing the transmitter power has some limitations as per radiation regulations. The requirement of high transmit power can be reduced by employing diversity methods. This paper presents, a wavelength-based diversity method with equal gain combining receiver, an effective technique to provide matching performance to single input single output at a comparatively low transmit power.

Emulation methodology of multiple clusters channels for evaluating wireless communication devices over-the-air (OTA) performance is investigated. This methodology has been used along with the implementation of the SIMO LTE standard. It consists of evaluating effective diversity gain (EDG) level of SIMO LTE-OFDM system for different channel models according to the received power by establishing an active link between the transmitter and the receiver. The measurement process is set up in a Reverberation Chamber (RC). The obtained results are compared to the reference case of single input-single output (SISO) in order to evaluate the real improvement attained by the implemented system.

A graphical technique for finding all proportional integral derivative (PID) controllers that stabilize a given single-input-single-output (SISO) linear time-invariant (LTI) system of any order system with time delay has been solved. In this paper a method is introduced that finds all PID controllers that also satisfy an H∞ complementary sensitivity constraint. This problem can be solved by finding all PID controllers that simultaneously stabilize the closed-loop characteristic polynomial and satisfy constraints defined by a set of related complex polynomials. A key advantage of this procedure is the fact that it does not require the plant transfer function, only its frequency response.
