The goal of this study is to find out to what extent the Use of Vokoscreen as a Learning Video on students’ speaking skill in E-Learning at SMP Yapidh district Jati Asih. This research used descriptive qualitative method. The participants are 35 students on grade IX at SMP Yapidh. These students are chosen because they would have practical examination. The instruments are observation and interview. The result showed that the most students answered paid attention to the researchers’ explanation, they used vokoscreen application well, they joined actively in learning activity, they made an interesting presentation based on a topic, felt happy using vokoscreen as a learning video, and more confident in speaking English activity. Only a few students could not maximal in this learning because their internet connection and some private problems. The interview result showed that all students said positive answer about their opinion used vokoscreen application on speaking activity. There are 35 participants answered “like” and 2 participants answered dislike. Based on the results of this investigate could conclude that the foremost students on grade nineth at SMPIT Yapidh are propelled and appreciated on speaking activity in e-learning using vokoscreen  as learning video, in reality the result of this inquire about demonstrated that the students more certainty and incremen their briefly speaking English.

The reseach objectives are to know whats ymbols are performed in Lariangi dance and what meaning are conveyed in the symbols performed in Lariangi dance. The research used descriptive qualitative method to take information. The writer obsereved the house in Liya village and took some informations from them and interviewed and documented by using recorded and camera. This research also took the datum from some books, articles, internet which associat with the symbols in Lariangi dance in Wakatobi Southeast Sulawesi. The research resulted in the part of symbols in Lariangi dance start from dress, accessories, movement of the dance and the songs of Lariangi dance. The result of the research was consisted  in four part. First, the symbols found in dress there are six namely Kombo Monihi, Kombo Meha, Punto/Wuray Nibelo Biru, Laka/Wuray Meha, Kambero, and Lenso/Saputangan symbolyzes sweat rag of King Buton. The second, there are eight symbols and their meaning found in accessories, namely Panto and Pintoru, Hepupu/Konde, Kamba Konde, Toboy Kamba, Hebindu/Sangi-Sangi, Kalo, Naga,  Sekori Keponto Posusu symbolyzes degrees nobility. The third, there are four symbols found in movement of Lariangi dance namely, Hematu kepooli le..le, Pajogi/Nyibing/Ngifi,  Nabu/Tau,  and Lariangi symbolyzes Lighting. The last is symbols found in song of Lariangi dance there are nine songs namely Mangu-Mangu, Ole-Ole,  Doumaraia, Denda Aule, Sailila, Waindi-Indi, Rongande, Jojongana, and Salatu symbolyzes as thankful to Allah SWT.

Language is one of the ways we express what in our mind is and through language we can communicate with others in our society. Based on the researcher observation at MTs NU TMI Pujon, the researcher can presume that the students of MTs NU TMI Pujon some of them has Javanese language as their mother tongue and others has Madura language as their mother tongue and they have different ability in speaking English as foreign language. Based on the test given by the researcher to some students at eight D class and analyze the data by using descriptive qualitative method, the researcher found some data. First, the researcher found that there are some differences between Javanese and Madura L1 students such as Madura L1 students got higher score in pronunciation and body language criteria, and also got higher average for all of criteria. Second, based on the data the researcher can conclude that 1ST language or mother tongue influence the students’ English speaking skill. Because, Madura language known as language that has stressing tone and intonation and most of Madura speak loudly and confidently. It makes Madura L1 students got higher score than Javanese.

This study is aimed to investigate how to teach English speaking or conversation interestingly for students by using a picture so that the students are easier to learn and enjoy in speaking English to others in the classroom. Method employed was descriptive qualitative method by doing observation and library research. Findings shows that using picture is one of good way to create an interesting learning process, so the students can easier to understand the lesson, and get enthusiastic to speak English to others in the classroom. Finally, if student always practice it repeatedly even out of the class, they will be able to remember permanently what they had learned and they will improve their ability in speaking English automatically.

AbstractThe purpose of this study is to investigate the obstacles of e-learning, especially for students, and to find out students' perception in facing e-learning during coronavirus disease pandemic (covid-19). The rapid spread of coronavirus urges universities on a world-wide scale to do e-learning, including universities in Indonesia. This study uses online interviews and questionnaires to obtain the data, and descriptive qualitative method is used to analyse the data. The respondents in this study are 126 students with different majors from 21 universities in all across Indonesia, consisting of 6 state universities and 15 private ones. The results of the study reveal that e-learning has been carried out by universities in the country. It also shows there are several aspects such as the availability of online learning facilities, the use of facilities, learning processes, and some more points that need to reconsider or to optimize conducting the e-learning for the long term.Keywords: e-learning; students; pandemic

This study aims to analyze e-learning-based learning media during the COVID-19 pandemic used by SD / MI teachers in Jember and the factors that support and hinder the e-learning based learning media. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. Respondents in this study were SD / MI teachers in Jember. The data was collected by distributing questionnaires and online interviews. The results showed that during the COVID-19 pandemic, SD / MI teachers in Jember conducted e-learning based learning. The e-learning-based learning media that is most widely used is Whatsapp as the main media for e-learning based learning. Then as supporting media, SD / MI teachers also use Google Classroom, Edmoodo, Zoom, Quizizz, and other e-learning based learning media. In using e-learning based learning media, the biggest obstacle is the internet quota, then there are other inhibiting factors such as internet network access, facilities / infrastructure, time, skills in using learning media. While the factors that support SD / MI teachers in using e-learning-based learning media are e-learning features, facilities / infrastructure, internet quotas, skills in using learning media. Keywords: e-learning, learning media, COVID-19, teachers.   Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis media pembelajaran berbasis e-learning di masa pandemi COVID-19 yang digunakan oleh guru SD/MI di Jember dan faktor yang mendukung seta menghambat media pembelajaran berbasis e-learning tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah guru SD/MI di Jember.Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menyebarkan kuesioner dan wawancara secara online. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa saat pandemi COVID-19 membuat guru SD/MI di Jember melakukan pembelajaran berbasis e-learning. Media pembelajaran berbasis e-learning yang paling banyak digunakan adalah Whatsapp sebagai media utama pembelajaran berbasis e-learning. Kemudian sebagai media pendukungnya guru SD/MI juga menggunakan Google Classroom, Edmoodo, Zoom, Quizizz, dan media pembelajaran berbasis e-learning lainnya. Dalam menggunakan media pembelajaran berbasis e-learning yang menjadi hambatan paling besar adalah kuota internet, kemudian juga terdapat faktor penghambat yang lain seperti akses jaringan internet, fasilitas/sarana prasarana, waktu, skill menggunakan media pembelajaran. Sedangkan faktor yang mendukung guru SD/MI dalam menggunakan media pembelajaran berbasis e-learning yaitu fitur-fitur e-learning, fasilitas/sarana prasarana, kuota internet, skill menggunakan media pembelajaran. Speaking is one of the productive skills that should be learned and mastered by English learners which gives them the ability to communicate effectively in this global world. However, most learners face difficulties in learning English, especially in mastering speaking skills. The lack of motivation in learning English is the most common problem faced by learners. With the development of technology, employing Zoom Application in learning English is recommended for fun and exciting learning. This research aims to analyze how applying Zoom Application can improve English learners’ motivation to speak in English. The descriptive qualitative method is used in this research and to gain the data, the researcher used some instruments, there are questionnaires and interviews, which were carried out to 30 learners in English Zoom Club as subjects of the research. The result of this research suggested that applying Zoom Application is very interesting since it provides such motivating and stimulating activities for English learners. Moreover, using Zoom Application make English learners have an appropriate platform and new friends to practice improving their speaking skill at the same time. Keywords:  Speaking Skill, Motivation in Language Learning, Zoom Application

Garuda Indonesia as national airlines in Indonesia have integrated reservation system. PT. Dymens Travel Bureau, as travel agent which provides Garuda Indonesia’s ticket sales as their main product, implemented this system. This reservation system have some steps that must be done correctly. Besides the system itself, agent must provide equipment such as computers with stable internet connection, staff with high computer and airlines sytem literacy. The aim of this paper is to analyse Garuda Indonesia’s online system ticket reservation at PT. Dymens Travel Bureau. Reservation system is complex thus need higher competency in system literacy to operates it. This research used descriptive qualitative method to exlpain steps of reservation in Garuda Indonesia’s System. This system generates Passenger Name Record (PNR) with passenger information inculidng name, flight schedule, route, class of flight, ticket number, time limit, and booking code. This reseach aslo found some non technical problem in reservation system due lack of competency of staff and unstable internet connection.

Motivation is one of the most significant things in learning process. Without motivation, the purposes of learning is tough to be achieved. When learners have it in learning process, they will more understand with the materials, especially English. The goal of this study is to know how students’ motivation in learning English of eight grade at MTs Mathla’ul Anwar Sukaguna. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The data was carried out by using a questionnaire of students’ motivation which have ten items adapted from Clement, Dornyei, & Noels (1994) and used an interview which have five questions‎. The data were processed in the percentage and descriptive explanation. The main findings described that the learners are entirety highly motivated. Based on this study’s findings, students of eighth grade at MTs Mathla’ul Anwar have that motivation, it is based on the outcome of questionnaire and interview. From the output of questionnaire, most of students choose the agree statements. It means that students has an savor in learning English. Furthermore, the yield of interview expressed that students have highly interesting in learning English. But in this case, the teacher have to be more creative in using the media, strategy, or delivered material in teaching learning activity to improve students’ motivation.

This research focuses on students' English speaking problems, and this research aims to find out the most dominant problem of speaking in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) situation faced by the students of English Departement at Tidar University. The research method used in this research is the qualitative method. The writer uses a questionnaire as a tool for data collection. From the questionnaire, the problems that most dominant faced by the English education students of the English Department at Tidar University is Linguistic problems. Linguistic problems include less grammar, lack of vocabulary, and poor pronunciation. The next is psychological problems include, including lack of self-confidence, anxiety, and shyness. Meanwhile, instructor related problems did not have much effect on speaking problems for the students. In conclusion, Linguistic problems are the most dominant problem faced by the English education students of the English Department at Tidar University.
