Over the last few years, business management has become quite complex, leading to constant risks in the business context resulting from economies' globalization, not only by the frequent change in the organizations' proprietary structure, but also due to technological innovation and competitiveness in the global market. The sum of all the factors referred to above and the actual pandemic situation has substantially increased the level of risk in current or strategic management decisions taken within the scope of the organizations' activity. Thus, the aim of this research is to study the impact of EU funds on Portuguese companies by analyzing companies that have benefited from European incentives under the innovation incentive system, since it covers financing investments of global and strategic nature in productive areas. In this sense, the sample includes the companies that had projects approved in 2014 and aims to verify the impact of these incentives on the capacity of value creation, as well as on job creation and internationalization level in years of 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018.

Corporate social responsibility (CSR) as a concept has been a subject of debate in the management cycle for decades. However, the incorporation of CSR, competitive advantage and strategic management into top management decision making processes, forms a set of new alliances that are beginning to gain attention. This paper examined the strategic alliances of these highly volatile but significantly critical components in order to determine the extent to which these three seemingly incongruous factors can be achieved in reality within a developing country such as Nigeria. Using a comparative case study approach, the activities of two multinationals - Shell Plc and Coca Cola – were examined. The critical success factors were explained based on the strategies adopted in order to determine the impact on the society and whether they were in line with stakeholders' expectations. Findings however indicate that there has been an interplay of high level forces which has resulted in the unsavoury news emanating from the oil producing communities in Nigeria, unfortunately, the activities of Coca cola in both the content and context of their operations have received little or no attention. This paper contributes to the scarce literature of this discourse within the African continent in general and Nigerian state in particular as well as sets a precedent for future research.

Purpose Establishing alliances between social economy enterprises (SEEs) is considered to be a solution to the problem of providing enough resources and knowledge to compete in the global market and, at the same time, to maintain identity and ownership. Nevertheless, an important number of alliances breaks up after several years. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to study the key factors that affect alliances’ development and outcome. In this study, the success factors that have been extensively tested in investor-owned companies are assessed in SEEs, which present important differences in organizational issues and corporate principles and values. Design/methodology/approach This study defines a scale that includes the most important factors that might be controlled by SEE managers to develop successful alliances. These factors are grouped into three categories: relational capital, relationship governance and the partner selection process. The study also assesses the impact of these factors on alliance performance. Findings Statistical analysis through structural equation modelling shows that relationship governance and the partner selection process have a significant impact on performance. Therefore, they can be considered success factors in alliances among SEEs. Originality/value Taking into account the relevant contribution of the SEEs to the European economy, and having noted the scarce number of studies about alliances success factors in the social economy sector, this study offers a significant contribution to this research field. Moreover, findings will be also interesting for SEE managers and social economy authorities when designing programmes to empower and support alliances.

Church must be understood as supernatural spritual institution as bearers of divine mandates on this earth, spiritual mandates and social mandates, be spiritual blessing and physical blessing. Church has taken the form of formal and legal institutions as such as social institutions. Then, the problems are the character and the impact of churches are not better than the social institution. Its because they lost their boot mandates. Those mandates originate and move from two church shahadas, love God and love others. The ambivalance among shahada and character, mandate and function cause churches are on intersection of become social institution or a spiritual institution. To back to their origin function, churches face two challenges. They are bravery to take off the deadly tradition, system, and theologies and then back to biblical tradition, system, and theologies.

This research focused on the strategic management tool Balanced Scorecard and strategic planning, as a guide to guide the management of companies, allowing communication and the functionality of the strategy using KPIs that allow to identify, maintain control and increase efficiency and the achievement of optimal results. For the deductive hypothetical analysis, the specific factors that affect business management performance were grouped into two variables: Balanced Scorecard and Strategic Planning. The objective of the work was to demonstrate the impact of the Balanced Scorecard in the strategic planning of a construction company. In order to support the research, the following theories were approached: the Financial Theory, the Economic Theory of the Company, the Transaction Costs, the Network Theory, the Organization Theory, the Dependence on Resources, the Strategic Management Theory and the Business Diagnosis Theory. The result obtained confirms the hypothesis that there is a significant incidence of the Balanced Scorecard in the strategic planning of construction companies. In conclusion, the construction company has obtained significant improvements in the results in each of the indicators evaluated with the implementation of the Balanced Scorecard, demonstrating improvements in their management results, affirming that there is better performance and management control allowing them to achieve the organizational objectives set.

This preliminary study attempts to link among the critical success factors on overall project success in public sector organizations in Pakistan.  In this study it’s reflected that major critical success factors (soundness of Business & workforce, planning & control, quality performance and past performance) can enhance the success of the project in Pakistan.  The purpose of this preliminary study was to verify the reliability of the survey instrument which has been used in European countries. It was found that the planning & control was the highest Cronbach Alpha value, while the ranged for each constructs in the present study from 0.68 to 0.88.  Therefore, based on the Cronbach alpha value score, the proposed survey instrument has fulfilled the basic requirement of a valid instrument.

One of the obstacles in project construction is that the project is experiencing delays. The delay is influenced by several factors including the absence of risk recording, the unavoidability of the opportunities and the impact of risks that arise in the project and its handling, and the neglected risks that may disrupt the project. Project risk is the cumulative effect of an uncertain event opportunity, which affects the project objectives. Several methods can be used to handle the occurrence of project risk, one of the methods used to perform a risk assessment is the Probability Impact Matrix (PIM). PIM is a method that can be used to analyze risk qualitatively based on probability and its impact. By using the PIM method, some of the opportunities and impacts of risks that may arise in the project can be identified. In addition, the PIM method can minimize the risks that arise in the project and quickly resolve the risks. Index Terms— Project, Risk, PIM, Possibility, Impact
