The research has the objective to establish the peculiarities of communicative deviations as a cognitive and at the same time discursive phenomenon in Ukrainian- and German-language video interviews from the viewpoint of respondents. The procedure of the research involves the integrated application of methods and techniques of pragmatics, deviatology and communicative linguistics. A new methodological basis has been developed for the reconstruction of communicative deviations using discourse analysis, namely for the reconstruction of a single event in two discursive environments, determining the communicative context and communication of interview in compared languages. The results of the research allow us to identify the features of communicative deviations in political interviews at the external, internal structural levels and at the situational level. The conclusions of the research indicate that the types of communicative deviations in political video interviews are universal in Ukrainian and German, but reflect national and cultural specifics given the peculiarities of both languages and each linguoculture, as well as existing realias, norms, conventions, maxims and rules of communication.

The article is devoted to the consideration of a poetic text as a communicative phenomenon with a high impact potential. The author defines the features of poetic communication, which is both mass and interpersonal, and its main goal, which is the poet’s desire to communicate author’s vision of the world and thereby change the picture of the reader’s world, achieving empathy from it. Based on the understanding of the speech strategy as a cognitive communication plan, a program for generating and perceiving speech, the author talks about the fundamental reversibility of text-generating and interpretative strategies and offers own classification of strategies and tactics that are most often used in modern poetry. In this classification, the main communicative strategies of self-presentation and rapprochement with the reader are associated with auxiliary discursive strategies of actualizing, dramatizing and dialogizing the text and programming interpretations by tactics for highlighting objects and situations using sound “gestures”, pointing to the referent, framing, directly introducing the reader into the communicative context, attracting the recipient’s attention through appeals and pragmatic instructions, interrogation, and some others. Particular attention is paid to the multimodality of interactions and its specific manifestations in poetic discourse. The study is based on the material of Russian poetry of the 1980- 2000s using the methods of intent and discourse analysis.

Political narratives on Crimea in German Language Media have been subjected to discourse analysis using the method of fractal description developed by the author. The analysis of 720 headlines in five leading media of Germany, Switzerland and Austria (2014 and 2019) has revealed that Crimea-related reporting was inconsistent and showed remarkably little substance in the facts. A long list of important questions in connection with the 2014 events have not been even asked by German-language media. A classification of the events in Crimea into large subject areas of contemporary historical, political and geostrategic nature is still almost completely lacking.

AbstractDiscourses on terror have been encrypted in the events of 9/11 in 2001 perhaps more than any single event since the end of the Cold War. Even though these discourses are projected as a global phenomenon, very few studies have analysed how they are framed by non-U.S. actors, especially by al-Qaeda and to some extent al-Shabaab. An analysis of discourses of terror by al-Qaeda is invaluable in determining how the U.S. is represented from the perspectives of the “other.” Using Critical Discourse Analysis as an analytic and interpretive framework, this article analyses al-Qaeda declassified intelligence reports captured by the U.S. in order to establish a view of “terror” from an al-Qaeda insider perspective. The article argues that there is a convergence of ideas and overlap in terms of the discourses of terror between the U.S. and al-Qaeda, which is ironic because of the firm distinction made by the U.S. government between “us” – the civilized nations – and “them” – the barbarian, evil murderers of innocent civilians.

This research deals with MuÍammad al-ÙÉhir Ibn Ashur’s (1879-1973 C.E.) views of Objectives (Maqasid) of the Quran. As one of the pioneers of the theory of maqasid al-Shariah, he pays a significant attention to this subject. Unlike other contributors to this subject, he identifies eight basic objectives of the Quran and implicates them to the Quranic exegesis. According to him, bringing objectives of the Quran perspective to the interpretation of the Quran is extremely necessary. This study is a library research in which the data were collected from Ibn Ashur’s writings as well as some other relevant literature. Dealing with the collected materials, the researcher made a discourse analysis of Ibn Ashur’s views on the mater. After each ‘objective’ is discussed, a brief focus is made on the methodological basis of his identification of Objectives of (Maqasid) the Quran instead of outlining the issues that he has identified as the main objectives (Maqasid).

"This study explores the use and the utilisation of the word citoyen in Eighteenth-century French literature before the revolution of 1789, of which the word is considered one of the symbols. We have gathered a corpus of works of reflection and fiction, published especially around 1750-1770, which we consider representative of the phenomenon and contrastive at the same time. Thanks to the methodological basis of the discourse analysis and the semantics that have a wide range of descriptive and methodological categories we are able to outline the practices associated with the word citoyen in the literary discourse in the course of the eighteenth century and we raise the question of the intertextuality between works of reflection and fiction."

The need to study the experience of political modernization in Kazakhstan is determined by the fact that the modern Russian Federation largely exhausted the inertial potential of the 1990s, trying to build a model of political modernization, which took into account the national (Russian), world (Western) and regional experience of political and social reforms. The aim of the study was to identify the features of political modernization in Kazakhstan. Based on this goal the following tasks were solved:• to define theoretical and methodological aspects of political modernization;• to identify the features of the study of political modernization in modern political science;• to study the basic concepts of political modernization and features of modernization processes in posttraditional societies. To implement the above goals and solve problems were used methods of discourse analysis. That is why the theoretical and methodological basis of the work is based on the methods developed in the framework of studies of political modernization.

The article is devoted to the study of the essence, signs and correlation of fictions in the criminal procedural and forensic aspects. The methodological basis of the study was the classical and modern general philosophical and legal developments of the indicated problem, the universal dialectical method of scientific knowledge, which is universal in nature, as well as the methods of logical deduction, induction, cognitive methods and techniques of observation, comparison, analysis, generalization and description. The authors carried out a critical and analytical review of the classifications of legal fictions proposed by various scientists, the definitions of the concepts of «criminally relevant fiction», «forensic fiction», etc. As a result of the study, the authors come to the conclusion that the nature of criminal procedural and forensic fictions is different, however both of these constructs are united by their essence, which consists in the recognition of a deduction (phenomenon, event, etc.) that does not correspond to reality as existing, valid, real, as well as their criminal relevance. These phenomena are also consistent in the general rule for them, subject to strict observance: the use of both methods in no case should harm, limit the rights and freedoms of the individual.
