<p>This article will describe the research’s result on the experiences of the members of ‘Forum Pengada Layanan’ or Service Provider Forum (FPL), a civil society initiative, in handling the victims of sexual violence. Through FPL's experience, this article will analyze the importance of legal protection and the availability of financial and human resources, in handling and protecting victims of sexual violence. This research was conducted using mixed methods, through surveys and in-depth interviews. This article concludes that the legal umbrella regarding the elimination of sexual violence with victims’ perspective would provide stronger foundation for protection, legal processes, and the availability of resources in handling cases of sexual violence in Indonesia.</p>

IntroductionThe early years are critical. Early nurturing care can lay the foundation for human capital accumulation with lifelong benefits. Conversely, early adversity undermines brain development, learning and future earning.Slums are among the most challenging places to spend those early years and are difficult places to care for a child. Shifting family and work structures mean that paid, largely informal, childcare seems to be becoming the ‘new normal’ for many preschool children growing up in rapidly urbanising Africa. However, little is known about the quality of this childcare.AimsTo build a rigorous understanding what childcare strategies are used and why in a typical Nairobi slum, with a particular focus on provision and quality of paid childcare. Through this, to inform evaluation of quality and design and implementation of interventions with the potential to reach some of the most vulnerable children at the most critical time in the life course.Methods and analysisMixed methods will be employed. Qualitative research (in-depth interviews and focus group discussions) with parents/carers will explore need for and decision-making about childcare. A household survey (of 480 households) will estimate the use of different childcare strategies by parents/carers and associated parent/carer characteristics. Subsequently, childcare providers will be mapped and surveyed to document and assess quality of current paid childcare. Semistructured observations will augment self-reported quality with observable characteristics/practices. Finally, in-depth interviews and focus group discussions with childcare providers will explore their behaviours and motivations. Qualitative data will be analysed through thematic analysis and triangulation across methods. Quantitative and spatial data will be analysed through epidemiological methods (random effects regression modelling and spatial statistics).Ethics and disseminationEthical approval has been granted in the UK and Kenya. Findings will be disseminated through journal publications, community and government stakeholder workshops, policy briefs and social media content.

Background: Nurse shortage is an international issue that has adverse effects on health and the quality of care of whole populations. Aims: The study aimed to explore attrition experienced by return-to-practice students attending higher education institutions in England. Methods: A mixed-methods design, involving questionnaires (n=114) and in-depth interviews (n=20), was used. Findings: Just over half (52%) of respondents left nursing after ≥10 years. Most of these (84%) stayed in alternative employment during their break from nursing. There were two distinct reasons for leaving nursing: the inability to maintain a positive work/life balance and a lack of opportunity for career advancement while retaining nursing registration. Respondents reflected positively on their nursing experience yet frequently reported significant personal or professional incidents prompting their decision to leave. Conclusion: The reasons nurses leave are complex. Professional bodies and managers need to work together to address concerns many nurses have during their careers that lead to them deciding to leave the profession.

<p class="apa">In general, the objectives of this study were to explain the role played by universities in improving its human resources are office holders, lecturers, and students, explain the program what is being done related to the improvement of human resources, and explains the non-academic program to support the implementation of a program that has been prepared so as to ensure the creation of academic atmosphere and moral. This research is using a qualitative approach. Data collection method is observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. After determining the selected object, it is then determined subjects and informants who serve as a source of information, other than information derived from observation and documents. The data obtained were analyzed using qualitative descriptive. From these results it can be concluded that in the current era of globalization sensitize the managers of private universities to constantly make changes both in management of students, lecturers, and academic. Of the top ten universities in East Java, which is the object of research has done on average conditionally adjustment and in accordance with their respective capabilities to actualize development programs as outlined in the master plan and development plan strategy as a guide.</p>

<p>This study aimed at examining the benefits and challenges of practicing Taekwondo (TKD) to adolescents in Addis Ababa. In so doing, the study investigated the nature of TKD training, benefits of practicing TKD, and challenges/problems related with practicing TKD. A descriptive concurrent mixed methods research design was used. Accordingly, the quantitative part of the study had 108 TKD adolescent participants while the qualitative part had 12 participants (eight TKD adolescents and four TKD coaches), from four TKD clubs in Addis Ababa. Both one-stage cluster sampling technique and purposive sampling technique were employed to select participants for the quantitative and qualitative parts of the study, respectively. Questionnaires and in-depth interviews were used to collect data from participants. Results of the study indicated: (1) the TKD training provided by the four TKD clubs was more of a modern/sport form of TKD; (2) TKD adolescents and coaches perceived that the benefits of TKD for adolescents are multifaceted, i.e., social benefits, physical benefits, mental benefits, self-defense, addiction avoidance, and other benefits; and (3) though majority (63.6%) of the respondents claimed that they did not face any problem as a result of practicing TKD, the following were identified as major problems that could threaten the wellbeing of TKD adolescents: family-related problems, community-related problems, and competition-related problems. In general, results show that the training of TKD can have a multifaceted positive contribution to adolescents’ wellbeing.</p><p> </p>

Negative Option Method is a bidding method that requires confirmation from consumers in accepting or rejecting an offer. If the customer doesn’t provide confirmation, the business actor assumes that the consumer agrees and will be charged a fee for the offer given. The Negative Option method originating from the United States has actually developed in Indonesia, especially in the provision of telecommunications services. It is not uncommon for Telecommunications Service Providers in Indonesia to offer a particular feature that requires confirmation of rejection or cancellation from consumers via message, such as "unreg". If the consumer does not provide confirmation, the business actor will unilaterally assume that the Customer has accepted the offer, thus often resulting in the consumer experiencing financial losses due to the imposition of costs for goods and / or services without the consent of the consumer. This encourages the author to conduct legal research on consumer legal protection of the Negative Option bidding method using the normative juridical method. This legal research concludes that the Negative Option bidding method is contrary to the Minister of Communications Regulation Article 2 paragraph (3) and Article 4 paragraph (1) letter a which specifies that each Telecommunications Service Provider must obtain written and/or message approval from the Customer to activate a paid feature. If the Telecommunications Service Provider has not received approval from the Customer, then the paid feature must be stopped.

As the main train service provider company in Indonesia, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (PT KAI) has many customers who need information. In order to maintain customer loyalty, PT KAI must respond quickly and be adaptive to technology to provide the best service to customers. Limited human resources make PT KAI unable to serve customers simultaneously, so customers often have to wait for a response. In order to provide the best service, automatic messages are needed in order to help customer service performance respond quickly and at the same time with no cost, access anytime and anywhere. This study proposes a new approach with chatbots as a medium for conveying automatic information quickly and simultaneously. This chatbot is made with a computational language that focuses on natural language modeling and cosine similarity as a method for calculating the proximity of inputs and databases. This research can help PT KAI's customer service workers to answer customer needs automatically.

The practice of prostitution involving women as the main perpetrator creates a negative stigma that sees women as guilty persons. Even though there are also women who are involved in the practice of prostitution due tocoercion. This condition creates a bias towards the position of the victim in the practice of prostitution. This paper is to examine the involvement of women in the practice of prostitution while also recognizing the position of women that are involved in the practice of prostitution. This research uses the normative juridical research method. Women in the prostitution network can be identified as victims due to both internal and external pressure.Women are perpetrators if involved without any pressure from other parties. Women are victims if they act as service providers, suffered, because of force by power from others, besides the relative requirements of women as victims of prostitution when involved in the practice of prostitution because they have been victims of sexual violence and make prostitution as livelihoods. Thus, it is hoped that legislators will soon be able to formulate limits on victims in the context of legal reform and just law enforcement. AbstrakPraktik prostitusi yang melibatkan perempuan sebagai aktor utama menimbulkan stigma negatif yang memandang perempuan sebagai insan yang bersalah. Padahal adapula perempuan yang terlibat dalam praktik prostitusi diakibatkan keterpaksaaan. Kondisi ini menimbulkan bias terhadap kedudukan korban dalam praktik prostitusi. Tulisan ini untuk mengkaji keterlibatan perempuan dalam praktik prostitusi sekaligus mengetahui kedudukan perempuan yang terlibat dalam praktik prostitusi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian yuridis normatif. Perempuan dalam jaringan prostitusi dapat teridentifikasi sebagai korban akibat tekanan internal maupun eksternalnya. Perempuan sebagai pelaku apabila terlibat tanpa tekanan dari pihak di luar dirinya. Perempuan sebagai korban apabila bertindak sebagai pemberi jasa, menderita, karena dan daya paksa dari orang lain, selain itu syarat relatif perempuan sebagai korban dalam prostitusi manakala terlibat dalam praktik prostitusi karena pernah menjadi korban kekerasan seksual dan prostitusi sebagai mata pencaharian. Diharapkan pembentuk undang-undang segera mungkin untuk merumuskan mengenai batasan korban dalam rangka pembaharuan hukum dan penegakan hukum yang berkeadilan.

Abstract Background Unsuccessful treatment outcomes among patients with drug resistant tuberculosis (DR-TB) are due to high rates of adverse events (AEs). However, information related to AEs is not systematically collected and managed under programmatic setting. The present study assessed the a) incidence and pattern of adverse events in first three months of DR-TB treatment initiation; b) treatment seeking behaviour for AE management; and c) explore the challenges in seeking treatment and reporting AEs.Methods This mixed methods study included all patients diagnosed and initiated on treatment under RNTCP during July-September 2018 at Ahmedabad DR-TB centre. The patients were interviewed telephonically and assessed for all AEs experienced by them. In-depth interviews and key-informant interviews were conducted among patients, DOTS supervisors and programme staffs (treatment supervisors, medical officer and district program manager). Results Total 207 AEs were reported by the 74 DR-TB patients. All patients experienced at least one AE during initial treatment period. Incidence rate of AEs (experienced) was 3.11 (1st month-4.6, 2nd month-2.7, 3rd month-2.02) per 100 person days. Of the 207 AEs, gastro-intestinal (59, 28.3%), ophthalmic (32, 15.4%) and otolaryngology (25, 11.9%) system related AEs were commonly experienced. Treatment was not sought in two-fifths of the AEs. Themes and sub-themes related to challenges in treatment seeking or reporting of AEs were 1) Patient related-Misconceptions, accessibility and affordability of management, lack of counselling support, stigma and discrimination, and past treatment experience; 2) Health system related- lack of guidelines and training for AE management, 3) Poor coordination between hospital and tuberculosis centre. Conclusion The incidence of AEs was high among patients with DR-TB in the first three months of treatment and treatment seeking/reporting was low. Adequate health education and counselling of the patient and orientation of the health systems are the need of the hour. An efficient real-time reporting and management of AE can be developed and tested for effective DR-TB control.

Background The quality of care for tuberculosis (TB) is deficient in high-burden countries and urgently needs improvement. However, comprehensively identifying the required improvements is challenging. Providing high-quality TB care is an important step toward improving patients’ quality of life and decreasing TB morbidity and mortality. Effective tools for assessing the quality of TB services using international standards and guidelines can identify existing gaps in services and inform improvements to ensure high-quality inpatient TB services. Objective This study aimed to develop evaluation instruments for defining the quality of provision of TB services. Methods To assess quality of services in the largest TB hospital in Armenia, we developed instruments based on the Joint Commission International Accreditation Standards for Hospitals, International Standards for TB Care, TB Laboratories Bio-Safety Standards, and the World Health Organization framework for conducting TB program reviews. A mixed methods approach was utilized, triangulating quantitative (checklists) and qualitative (in-depth interviews) results. A scoring system and strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and treats analysis was applied to detail results for each of the 122 standards assessed. A scaling approach was used to present overall performances of inpatient services for eight patient-centered functions and five organization management functions. Results Overall, 40 in-depth interviews and 91 checklists (21 observations, 16 policy papers, 20 staff qualification documents, and 34 medical records) were developed, utilized, and analyzed to explore practices of health care professionals, assess inpatient treatment experience of patients and their family members, evaluate facility environmental conditions, and define the degree of compliance to standards. Conclusions The effective comprehensive evaluation instruments and methods developed in this study for quality of inpatient TB services support the implementation of similar effective assessments in other countries. It may also become a platform to develop similar approaches for assessing ambulatory TB services in resource-limited countries.
