Abstract This study aimed to analyzed market reaction caused  the announcement of rising dividend or dividend down before and after Ex-dividend date in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX).This research used event study method by using abnormal return on share as research variable and used price data of shares as research unit analysis. As the result, 26 companies as the sample of 45 companies which registered in index LQ45 in Indonesia Stock Exchange period 2016-2018 by purposing sampling technique. Measurement of variable using the calculation of the average abnormal return of shares by testing the hypothesis using different test paired sample t-test and Wilxocon related sample test with the help of SPSS version 22.The research result showed there was no difference in abnormal return on share before and after Ex-dividend date in the companies which announced rising dividend and dividend down in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) period 2016-2018. The results of the different paired sample t-test obtained a significance value of 0,486 which was greater than 0,05 and in the Wilxocon test the related sample test obtained z score of 1,478 which was greater than z table which was 1.458. For the next research, it is recommended to test the different indexes and regard to the confounding effect which can lead to bias.Key words: Dividend, Abnormal Return, Ex- Dividend date, Event StudyAbstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis reaksi pasar saham yang ditimbulkan oleh  pengumuman dividen naik atau pengumuman dividen turun sebelum dan sesudah ex- dividend date di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI). Metode penelitian ini menggunakan event study dimana menggunakan abnormal return saham sebagai variabel pengujian yang menggunakan data harga saham harian sebagai unit analisi penelitiian. Hasil pengumpulan data  diperoleh 26 perusahaan sebagai sampel dari populasi sebanyak 45 perusahaan yang terdaftar di indeks LQ45 di Bursa efek Indonesia periode 2016-2018 dengan teknik sampling secara purposive sampling. Pengukuran variabel menggunakan penghitungan rata- rata abnormal return saham dengan pengujujian hipotesis menggunakan uji beda paired sample t-test dan uji Wilxocon releted sample test dengan bantuan aplikasi SPSS versi 22. Hasil peneltian menyimpulkan tidak terdapat  perbedaan abnormal return saham sebelum dan sesudah Ex-dividend date pada perusahaan yang mengumumkan dividen naik atau dividien turun di Bursa Efek Indonesia periode tahun 2016-2018 Hasil uji beda paired sample t-test diperoleh nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,486 yang atinya lebih besar dari 0,05 dan pada uji Wilxocon releted sample test diperoleh z-hitung sebesar 1,478 dimana lebih besar dari z tabel yaitu 1,458. Untuk peneliti selanjutnya disarankan melakukan pengujian pada indeks berbeda dan memperhatikan confounding effect yang dapat memunculkan bias. Kata Kunci : Dividend, Abnormal Return, Ex- Dividend date, Event Study

This study aims to determine there is a difference in average abnormal return of BRI Syariah before and after the signing of the Conditional Merger Agreement (CMA), which is on October 12th, 2020. This research used event study for method and the data in this study are secondary data in the form of stock price data of BRI Syariah. The event window in this study for 11 (eleven) working days which is 5 (five) days before the event, 1 (one) day when the event occurs and 5 (five) days after the signing of the Conditional Merger Agreement (CMA) BUMN sharia bank. Meanwhile, the estimated period is set for 120 exchange days, namely at t-125 to t-6. Test conducted by paired sample t-test. The results of the paired sample t-test showed that there is no significant difference between the average abnormal return of BRI Syariah shares before and after the signing of the Conditional Merger Agreement. It can be concluded that neither the market nor investors reacted to the signing of the Conditional Merger Agreement (CMA) that occurred at BRI Syariah Bank.

Abstract The study was intended to analyze the reactions of Indonesia's capital markets on events Indonesia tested positive for the corona virus pandemic. The study adopted an 11-day period of event study analysis. The population in this study is the entire company listed on the LQ45 index at the Indonesian stock exchange in February - June 2020. Sampling taken in this study uses an impressive sampling technique. Samples obtained by criteria on this research account number 42 companies. Variables used in this study are abnormal return and trading volume of activity.     The study used paired sample t-test analysis methods. The research indicates that there was no significant difference between average abnormal return before and after the Indonesia announcement was positive the corona virus pandemic. This is indicated by the results of the significant paired sample t-test that have a value of 0.924 > 0.05. Additionally, this study indicates that there was no significant difference in average trading volume activity before and after the events of the Indonesian announcement was positive that the corona virus pandemic. This is indicated by the results of the significant paired sample t-test that have a value of 0.936 > 0.05. Keywords : Event Study, Corona Virus Pandemic, Abnormal Return, Trading Volume Activity

Purpose : The result of this research are expected to provide information to the investors to face the similar event so that investors can make decisions to taking profit in the future. Design/methodology/approach : The model of this event study research is using 45 issuers of LQ45 indexes member during test period for 10 days before and after the event. The statistic test which used in this research is paired sample-test towards CAAR and counting t-test towards AAR.. Findings The result of CAAR is showed that CAAR  abnormal return significantly merely happen in research period III. While, for t-test towards AAR showed that abnormal return happened in period II and III tax amnesty execution Research limitations/implications : The object of this research is company which recorded as a member in LQ45 indexes. Practical implications : The result of CAAR is showed that CAAR  abnormal return significantly merely happen in research period III. While, for t-test towards AAR showed that abnormal return happened in period II and III tax amnesty execution, with details in period II abnormal return merely happen in t-1 with negative value and period III abnormal return happen in t-9, t-8, t-4, t-3, t+1 and t+9. Originality/value : expected to provide information to the investors to face the similar event so that investors can make decisions to taking profit in the future

The purpose of this study is to prove how the effect of the stock split on abnormal returns and whether there are differences in average abnormal returns before and after the stock split. This research was conducted at a company that conducted a stock split which was listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2017. The method used by a statistical test is one sample t-test (t-test for one sample) at a significance level of a = 5%. Research results show that there is no significant abnormal return when the stock split. And the tests performed on abnormal return averages before and after the stock split using paired sample t-test (t-test for two paired samples) showed that there were no significant differences in the average abnormal return before and after the stock split. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk membuktikan bagaimana pengaruh stock split terhadap abnormal return dan apakah terdapat perbedaan rata-rata abnormal return sebelum dan setelah stock split. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada perusahaan yang melakukan pemecahan saham yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia tahun 2017. Metode yang digunakan dengan uji statistik one sampel t-test (uji t untuk satu sampel) pada tingkat signifikansi a =5%. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat abnormal retum yang signifikan pada saat stock split. Dan pengujian yang dilakukan terhadap rata-rata abnormal retun sebelum dan setelah stock split dengan menggunakan paired sample t test (uji t untuk dua sampel berpasangan) diperoleh hasil bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada rata-rata abnormal return sebelum dan sesudah stock split.

Abstrak: Reaksi Pasar Terhadap Perubahan Dividen dengan Indikator Abnormal Return dan Trading Volume Activity. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui reaksi pasar terhadap perubahan dividen, yaitu dividen tetap, dividen naik, dividen turun, dividen inisiasi, dan dividen omisi dengan indikator abnormal return dan trading volume activity pada perusahaan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia pada sektor properti, real estate, dan konstruksi bangunan periode 1998-2015. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain event study, di mana dilakukan pengamatan 5 hari sebelum dan 5 hari sesudah peristiwa. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Uji Paired Sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hanya dividen tetap dan dividen inisiasi dengan indikator trading volume activity terjadi reaksi pasar secara signifikan. Hasil penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa untuk melihat reaksi pasar lebih baik menggunakan indikator trading volume activity dari pada abnormal return.Kata kunci: dividen, abnormal return, trading volume activity.Abstract: Market Reaction to Dividend Change with Abnormal Return and Trading Volume Activity as Indicators. The aim of this study is to find the influence of dividend change on market reaction, which are fixed dividend, rise dividend, fall dividend, initiation dividend, and omission dividend with abnormal return and trading volume activity as indicators at the companies listed in Indonesian Stock Exchange in property, real estate, and building construction sectors in 1998-2015. This study employs event study, in which it is observed within 5 days before and 5 days after the event date. Paired Sample t-test is utilized to analyze the data. The results show that fixed dividend and initiation dividend using average trading volume activity have significant effect on market reaction. Furthermore, it also suggests that to comprehend market reaction, trading volume activity is better indicator rather than abnormal return.Keywords: dividend, abnormal return, trading volume activity.

This research is conducted on all acquisition companies that conduct acquisitions listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange 2011-2016 period. Sampling method using purposive sampling. The number of samples of this research is 50 companies. The market reaction in this study used abnormal return and trading volume activity. The testing of information content will be done by looking at differences in cumulative abnormal return and the average trading volume of shares five days before and five days after the announcement of the acquisition. Data analysis technique used is paired sample t-test. Based on the test results, found there are significant differences in the abnormal return of the acquirer company before and after the announcement of the acquisition. This study aims to analyze the abnormal returns before and after the announcement of mergers and acquisitions in the companies listed on the IDX 2018. In this study the observation period taken was three days before and after the announcement of mergers and acquisitions with the number of samples observed were 9 companies. The method for calculating abnormal returns used is the market adjusted return by using an intraday stock price of 15 minutes. Based on testing hypotheses conducted by paired sample t-test, it was found that there were no significant differences in abnormal returns before and after the announcement of mergers and acquisitions in each 15 minute period.

<p>Goals of the research to analyze whether occurred abnormal return of ASIAN Games phenomena and see how investors react to the big ASIAN Games 2018 event in Indonesia. . This reseach uses a sample of companies included in the hotel, restaurant and tourism sub-sector on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the observation period, based on the purposive sampling method which obtained 22 companies and used the event study method. There is a significant abnormal return but not on the phenomenon of the Asian Games 2018. This shows that investors still wait and see to the organization of the Asian Games in 2018. No difference of abnormal return before and after the Asian Games 2018. This is because, as investors look to the many tourists who have started to flock to Indonesia before the Asian Games in 2018 took place.<em></em></p><p><strong><em></em></strong><em><br /></em></p>

The January Effect occurred as a result companies that have a strategy to improve it is financial statements. The company will sell stocks that have low values at the end of the year and sell shares favorable to attract investment back at the beginning of next year. January Effect the anomaly that serves low stock Return occurred in December and the highest Return ing January. The purpose of this research was to examine whether there is a phenomenon January Effect on Effect Indonesia Stock Exchange and Shanghai Stock Exchange in Period 2011-2013The variables used in this study are the Return, Abnormal Return and trading volume activity. This research was conducted at the company that is static between years 2011-2013 were in a group LQ45 and SSE50 samples that meet the criteria. The model used is the determination of the sample with purposive sampling method. The tools used are Test One-Way ANOVA and Paired Sample (t-test). The results of analysis showed that look Abnormal Return  stock and Return  there is a difference between January to January in addition to the Indonesia Stock Exchange and Shanghai Stock Exchange by using One-Way ANOVA, while the Paired Sample (t-test) on the Shanghai Stock Exchange there the difference between January to be for January. And for testing of trading volume activity, The January Effect does not occurred in the Indonesia Stock Exchange and Shanghai Stock Exchange.

The 2018 simultaneous regional election in Indonesia is something new in the events of democratic politics in Indonesia. The events of the 2018 simultaneous regional election is one of the important events in 2018 that can cause a reaction of capital market to these events. This study aims to examine how the capital market reacts to the simultaneous regional elections in 2018 and presidential elections in 2019, by looking at the differences in the preceding and following periods based on 2 variables, namely abnormal return and trading volume activity. The sample in this study were 30 companies listed in the Indonesian Stock Exchange during 30 periods from February through July 2018. Research Methode This study used an event study. One paired samples T test was used as a technique analysis. The means of each variable within eleven days period was compared. The period of observation is five days before the event, five days after the event, and one day on event day. Based on the results of the parametric statistical calculations, the paired sample t-test showed that there was no difference between the level of abnormal returns before and after the 2018 simultaneous regional elections. On the other hand, there was a difference between trading volume of activity before and after the 2018 simultaneous regional elections.
