The influence of the technological parameters of hot sheet stamping on the shaping of parts made of titanium alloy - forgings for helicopter screw linings is investigated. It is shown that the most suitable method for the manufacture of such parts is hot stamping with preheating. At the same time, the main technological requirement is the uniformity of heating, the need to exclude the movement of heated workpieces, as well as negative transformations in the material at micro and macro levels.

Purpose This paper aims to find proper technological parameters of low-temperature joining technique by silver sintering to eventually use this technique for reliable electronic packaging. Design/methodology/approach Based on the literature and author’s own experience, the factors influencing the nanosized Ag particle sintering results were identified, and their significance was assessed. Findings It has been shown that some important technological parameters clearly influence the quality of the joints, and their choice is unambiguous, but the meaning of some parameters is dependent on other factors (interactions), and they should be selected experimentally. Originality/value The value of this research is that the importance of all technological factors was analyzed, which makes it easy to choose the technological procedures in the electronic packaging.

The main technological factors when using ATL and AFP technologies are material temperature, laying speed, rolling pressure and no deviation from the required laying trajectory. The article discusses the influence of technological factors on some characteristics of polymer composite materials. The optimum laying temperature should provide the required adhesion. The rate of laying should provide heating of the material without its technological properties. The rolling pressure during laying should ensure optimal porosity and thickness of the material.

The paper comments on the influence of various technological factors influencing the values of elastic modulus. Today, the composition of concrete combines the classic input components with the significant use of mixed cements, active admixtures and superplasticizers in order to achieve the required compressive strength of concrete and durability while reducing costs. On the other hand, the composition of these concretes has a negative impact on the elastic modulus which are significantly lower than the values derived from compressive strength in Eurocode 2. At the end of the article is a list of measures that are a prerequisite for obtaining the required concrete elastic modulus.

E-commerce is critical to national development. Small and Medium sized organizations (SMEs) are encouraged to adopt it to address poverty, improve competitiveness and productivity. However, the escalation in electronic crime (e-crime) and lack of compliance with e-commerce regulations threaten e-commerce success in South Africa. While many strategies for improving e-commerce have been suggested, the focus has mainly been on economic and technological factors and less on human and social aspects such as compliance behaviors. This has resulted in the development of e-commerce systems that do not incorporate regulatory requirements. Consequently, the level of exposure to cyber-risks and legal liabilities has increased and SME market competitiveness compromised (Kyobe, 2009). This chapter examines the factors influencing compliance with e-commerce regulations and e-security requirements and how these impact on e-commerce optimization in South African SMEs. It also provides some useful frameworks and checklists SME managers can use to evaluate their compliance behaviors and security practices in order to make improvement to their e-commerce activities.

To investigate the feasibility of a novel hot stamping process for the Ti6Al4V titanium alloy using low temperature forming tools, mechanical properties of the material were studied using hot tensile tests at a temperature range of 600 - 900°C with a constant strain rate of 1s-1. Hot stamping tests were carried out to verify the feasibility of this technology and identify the forming window for the material. Results show that when the deformation temperature was lower than 700°C, the amount of elongation was less than 20%, and it also had little change with the temperature. However, when the temperature was higher than 700°C, a good ductility of the material can be achieved. During the forming tests, parts failed at lower temperatures (600°C) due to the limited formability and also failed at higher temperatures (950°C) due to the phase transformation. The post-form hardness firstly decreased with the temperature increasing due to recovery and then increased due to the phase transformation. Qualified parts were formed successfully between temperatures of 750 - 850°C, which indicates that this new technology has a great potential in forming titanium alloys sheet components.

This article is devoted to the probability maps have been constructed for predicting the zones of residual oil reserves using the example of deposits in Shaim region. The refinement of the previously presented algorithm [4] has been made, which helps with a fairly high degree of probability to quickly localize the residual oil reserves based on 2D modeling. In the process of work, the influence of many geological and technological parameters on the final probability map was established, the influence of the observation zone on the value of the correlation coefficient of the map of residual mobile oil reserves with the map of current mobile oil reserves based on geological and hydrodynamic modeling was established.
