This study sought information on teachers’ perception of the usefulness of ICT on their effectiveness. The population comprised of the teachers in Colleges of Education teachers in Osun State. A random sample of one hundred (100) teachers was selected from these teachers. The data collected were analysed using frequency counts, percentages, Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient and t-test statistics. The findings were that there was no significant relationship between ICT resources and teachers’ effectiveness; there was a positive relationship between teachers’ attitudes towards the usage of ICT and their usage of ICT; and that there is a difference in usage of ICT in teaching by gender. It is argued that for teachers to appreciate usage of ICTs in teaching, they need to see that ICT tools are imperative for teaching.

The study investigated organizational culture as correlate of teachers’ job performance and attitude to work in secondary schools in Anambra State, Nigeria. Five research questions guided the study and six null hypotheses were tested. The study adopted correlational survey research design. The population of the study comprised all the 6396 teachers in public secondary schools in the state. Out of the population, a sample size of 1279 teachers was drawn through proportionate stratified random sampling techniques. Data was collected using three different questionnaires developed by the researchers. The questionnaires include school organizational culture questionnaire (SOCQ), Teachers’ job performance questionnaire (TJPQ) and Teachers’ attitude to work questionnaire (TAWQ). The instruments were validated by three experts from Faculty of Education Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka. Cronbach Alpha method was used to determine the reliability of the instruments which yielded a reliability coefficient of .959, .957 and 0.701 respectively. The reliability indices were considered high enough and thus the instruments were deemed reliable. Data collection was done by the researchers with the help of ten research assistants. Aggregate score was used to answer research questions 1 to 3 while Pearson r was used to answer research questions 4 and 5 and critical probability table of Pearson r was used to take decision on the six null hypotheses at 0.05 level of significance. The findings showed among others that: teachers rated their school organizational culture to be good; teachers’ job performance is good and teachers have positive attitude to their work. Also, it was found that there is no significant relationship between school organization culture and teachers’ job performance; and no significant relationship between school organizational culture and teachers’ attitude to work. Based on the findings it was recommended that: School management and management of Anambra State post primary school service Commission should ensure improvement in secondary school culture in order that all the teachers would rate their school culture to be good without some rating it to be poor. It was also recommended that in- service training be organized for secondary school teachers through seminars, workshops and advance learning in order to ensure that all of the teachers have good job performance and positive attitude to work. Teaching is considered a multifarious task. Teachers, in the pursuit of educational success, are burdened with numerous teaching workloads and dilemmas causing them stress. This study endeavored to determine the influence of stress on professional satisfaction of multigrade teachers. It employed correlation research design involving thirty (30) purposively selected multigrade teachers in the Schools Division of General Santos City (GSC), Southern Philippines. Employing the survey method, tailored questionnaires were utilized to gather the needed data. The statistical tools employed in the analysis were weighted mean and Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient. Moderate level of stress and high level of professional satisfaction are gained among the multigrade teachers surveyed. It was further found out that there is no significant relationship between stress and professional satisfaction, providing evidence that stress may not necessarily influence satisfaction. This result offers unique implications in theory, practice, and research which are discussed in the study.

The influence of language attitude on the academic achievement of young children in the monolingual context has not been explored. Thus, this research ascertained the degree of relationship between attitudes toward the mother tongue and the academic performance of the learners. It entailed correlation research design. The respondents were 20 Grade II pupils in a rural public school considered as monolingual in the southern Philippines. The data gathered were treated using frequency distribution, weighted mean, percentage rate, and Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient. It was found out that there is a significant relationship between attitudes toward the mother tongue and the academic performance of learners. Amid the vast body of diverse researches in the area of language education, the present study weaves pieces of evidence that attitudes of learners toward mother tongue are associated with their academic performance in the context of a monolingual environment. It is suggested that such a conclusion should be further tested in other contexts.

This study attempts to find a relation between the amount of interest in poetry and the degree of sensitivity, especially among the college students. If a positive correlation can be found, scholars and teachers may be able to offer students with weak perception of the environment, poetry reading. Dr. Elaine N. Aron’s questionnaire, Highly Sensitive Person Scale 2007, was the tool of this paper to evaluate the hypersensitivity of students, the results of which were tested correlation with a number of five questions that was added to the original questionnaire. The added questions were to demonstrate the students’ interest or disinterest toward poetry, and through Pearson Product-Moment Correlation Coefficient and independent Samples T-Test it became possible to calculate the correlation of sensitivity tests and the interest in poetry. The results answered research questions, and it was found that except the question number five, there was no significant relationship between sensitivity and the other variables. However, the question number five which showed a positive relationship between sensitivity and the amount of empathetic understanding of those who are interested in poetry, could indicate a meaningful correlation by reminding that empathy is an equivalence of unconscious admittance

Organizational Citizenship Behaviour (OCB) has been widely studied across the boarders especially in the western countries. This workplace voluntary behaviour is associated with many predictors that may bring whether major, minor or negative influence towards the engagement of employees’ OCB. Basically, this study is focusing on motivation as the predictor or independent variable that influence employees’ engagement on the OCB (altruism, conscientiousness, courtesy, civic virtue and sportsmanship) behaviour. Herzberg’s motivator factor (achievement, advancement, recognition and growth) has been chosen as the independent variable. A total of 150 questionnaires were distributed conveniently to respondents. With 125 questionnaires returned, researcher was able to analyze the data based on the research questions and hypotheses developed. The findings showed moderate and weak, significant relationship between the variable excluding the relationship between independent variable and civic virtue and sportsmanship. Thus, Herzberg’s motivator factor was not a predictor to civic virtue and sportsmanship behaviour. However for the strongest predictor; achievement, growth and growth are strongly predicts the altruism, conscientiousness and courtesy behaviour respectively. However, with the absence of relationship between independent variable and civic virtue as well as sportsmanship, therefore the strongest predictor cannot be determined as the value recorded was below the criterion.
