Objective This article probes the state of Africa's palm oil industry and economy today. Methodology/Technique - Qualitative research is used for the study and production of solutions. The method used in this research with the following work sequences: Understanding literature, descriptive analysis, discussion and conclusion. Findings These five panopticism techniques can be used as part of natural surveillance in CPTED (three pattern of building design). As result, the three patterns of building design in CPTED that can be implemented with the five panopticism techniques. Novelty This paper is about identifying the concept of panopticism as one of the surveillance technique and solutions in crime prevention through environmental design. Objective This article probes the state of Africa's palm oil industry and economy today. Methodology/Technique Today, Malaysia, Indonesia, and West Africa are the world's major producers of palm oil; and India and China, the world's most densely populated countries, are the major consumers. However, why is it that West Africa that is naturally endowed with palm oil is the one that lags behind others in the global production of palm oil? Should this kind of natural endowment and the presence of the major world producers and the biggest consumers of palm oil not spell colossal success for global palm oil industry and economy? Findings Without an adequate demand for a commodity, supply will be limited, thus resulting in a downward supply curve. On the other hand, if there is a high demand for a commodity like palm oil, then it will be produced in abundance. Novelty Where and why it has fallen short, and what does need to be done via-a-vis the state of Malaysia's and Indonesia's palm oil sector and the presence of emerging economies like China and India against the backdrop of globalization. The purpose of this research is to know how the accounting treatment for the scrap materials at PTPN 1 unit PKS Tanjung Seumantoh Aceh Tamiang. The scrap material from the palm oil production process at PTPN 1 unit PKS Tanjung Seumantoh Aceh Tamiang are in the form of palm shells and fiber. The type of this research is qualitative research with descriptive analysis method. The result of shows that the scrap  material for palm kernel shells was recognized as other income and presented in the company’s income statement, while fiber was used as boiler fuel as well as a reduction in manufacturing overhead costs

This study aims to determine the factors cause a decrease market share of Indonesia palm oil in India and its implications, and to know the Indonesia government’s strategy maintains the palm oil market in India. The method used is descriptive analysis using theory of competitive adventage diamond model of Michael Porter and Development state theory. The scope of study between 2010 and 2015.            The results showed that cause of the decline in the market share of Indonesia palm oil in India due to the application of duty Crude Palm Oil (CPO) is higher than its derivative products in Indonesia, Increased demand for Malaysia palm oil by India and development of palm oil industry in India. The implications of this decline include the loss of potential tax revenue and export volume of palm oil as well as disrupt the Indonesia palm oil industry. Strategy by the Indonesia government is implementing Crude Palm Oil (CPO) Supporting Fund (CSF), Indonesia Trade Promotion Center (ITPC) Chennai (India) and Palm Oil Industrial Cluster.             Strategy Indonesia government maintains the palm oil market in India has shown a positive effect. Although some parts are not running perfectly. The government as a stimulant to increase competitiveness of Indonesia palm oil is felt has done its job as it should. Palm oil industry in Indonesia has been growing rapidly. But, unfortunately the growth is only effective on upstream industry with low value products, such that potential downstream value added are not explored proportionally. The government is therefore in the process of developing an appropriate policy to strengthen the national palm oil downstream industry. This paper proposes that an approriate policy for developing palm oil downstream industry could be derived from the maps of value chain and existing technology capability of the industry. The result recommends that government policy should emphasize on the supply of raw materials, infrastructure and utilities, as well as developing the missing value chain industry, especially ethoxylation and sulfonation.

Character education is considered the best solution to produce excellent students in character, personality and uphold the nation's noble values. Through local wisdom in each area, such as the Dongkrek dance culture, it is important to understand and improve character education in students. Therefore, it is necessary to explore more deeply character education based on local wisdom by exploring the Dongkrek dance culture to internalize character values in learning art in elementary schools. This study aims to describe the character education of Dongkrek dance and efforts to internalize it in learning arts in elementary schools. This research is qualitative research using descriptive analysis and a library research approach. Five main character educations are explored in the Dongkrek dance, including religion, cooperation, nationalism, independence, and integrity. Meanwhile, efforts to internalize it into art learning are by understanding the contents of the dance, performing, and developing the Dongkrek dance into a show.
