Alzheimer's is a dementia disease associated with changes in protein in the brain. According to WHO, in 2010 there were 35.6 million people suffering from dementia. People with dementia are usually the elderly. Due to the lack of awareness, information, and knowledge about Alzheimer's disease, an expert system was created using the Dempster-Shafer comparison method with Certainty Factors to assist in early detection of the disease. The results of this study are, there is a final value of the diagnostic results using the Certainty Factor method of 56% while using the Dempster-Shafer method of 54.5%.Keywords:Alzheimer, Expert system, Dempster-Shafer, Certainty Factor, Web-Based.

In this study, an expert system is used to detect symptoms of damage to computer hardware. With the application of certainty factor models, it is expected to be able to detect symptoms of damage to computer hardware starting with the symptoms of damage from the computer along with solutions for handling the damage. This study aims to produce a fault diagnosis application on web-based computer hardware. This application is expected to make it easier for users to find solutions regarding experienced hardware problems. This expert system application is made using the certainty factor method so that the resulting diagnosis will display symptoms that have more certainty factors. This application was designed using UML and the PHP programming language with black-box testing. The study was conducted by collecting data through literature study, browsing, and interviews. The research method used is the waterfall method. The time of the research is from September 2019 to February 2020. This research is in an application to diagnose damage to computer hardware. Computer Hardware Damage Detection Application can be a guide for computer users in overcoming the damage to hardware with certainty factor methods and can help users in caring for computer hardware so it is not easily damaged.

The state of Indonesia, especially in the area of Central Java, is one of the largest producers of water guava. Some farmers rely on the results of guava cultivation as the basis for the family's economy because the guava harvest is quite promising. However, in certain seasons, water guava plants are often attacked by various kinds of pest and disease season disturbances. So that it can reduce crop yields or even cause crop failure. To overcome this problem, fast and precise action is needed so that the guava plant is protected from various kinds of pests and diseases. The method of developing an expert system for disturbance in water guava plants is the best solution in order to identify disturbances in water guava plants as early as possible. The method used in this expert system is the certainty factor method. With this method, several experts are needed to provide data related to disturbances in water guava plants. The expert system for guava plant disorders is designed using a web-based PHP programming language. In designing the knowledge base, which is the core of this system, is made dynamically to make it easier to add new data.

If someone feels unwell, they will usually make a diagnosis and find the solutions before deciding to consult a doctor. As with joint disease with symptoms of pain that are still mild, there is no time to go to the doctor, fees, or other reasons. Especially now through information via the internet can be easily obtained. To assist in identifying and improving the accuracy of diagnosis, it is necessary to have a web-based expert system application to diagnose joint disease using certainty factor methods. The research method used is using SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle). An expert system that has been made can be used as early detection and get solutions for joint diseases and preventive measures to treatment

Glaucoma is an eye disease that causes the second largest blindness after cataracts, this disease can cause decreased vision and can even be fatal, namely permanent blindness if it is not realized and treated immediately. Lack of information and education to the public to always maintain eye health is the basis for the purpose of making this expert system which aims to provide early diagnosis to people who are indicated to have glaucoma based on the symptoms or characteristics previously felt. The Naïve bayes method is a method that uses statistics and probability in predicting a person's chance of suffering from glaucoma based on the symptoms previously felt. It is made based on a website with PHP as the programming language and uses MySQL for the database. As for the comparison method used is the Certainty factor, which is a method that functions to determine a certainty value based on the calculation of the predetermined CF value by applying manual calculations. In the Naïve bayes method, the application can group symptom data and types of disease and can diagnose based on previous training data, while for the Certainty factor method based on the calculation of the value of the expert and the CF value that has been inputted by the user, it can produce a percentage of the diagnosis of the disease glaucoma in 96%.Keywords:Certainty factor, Expert System, Glaucoma, MySQL, Naïve bayes, PHP.

When seeking a consultation to diagnose drugs and find out the solutions of prevention and control over drugs, users need time, money and energy to come and consult a doctor or rehabilitation officer at the National Narcotics Board of West Sumatera Province. Expert System to diagnose this drug user using Forward Chaining Method in selecting symptoms - symptoms that appear on the drug user and using the Certainty Factor Method to determine the amount of confidence or expert beliefs against the diagnosis results. Expert System is one of the implementation of technological development that can solve a problem like a human being. This system has the ability to diagnose the types of drugs used along with prevention and how to overcome them. Expert System is designed web-based using the programming language PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor) and MySQL databases, as well as internet connected that can facilitate people to diagnose the type of drugs and know the prevention and prevention of drug use.

The closeness of the relationship between dogs and human makes the dog can be trained, played together, lived together with human and are invited to socialize with human and other dogs. But, despite its this relationship, the dogs can also have a contagious disease that may be harmful to human. Diagnostic expert system for infectious disease in dogs for as web-based system with the media android used as a tool for diagnosing infectious diseases in dogs based on physical characteristics or symptoms that can be seen or felt without through examination of the specifics. The diagnostics final results are expected to be a reference for further examination and handling of dogs that contract the disease is detected to prevent the disease for humans. This expert system uses a forward chaining inference method and Certainty Factor to infer.

People with Mental Disorders (ODGJ) as a trigger for people who suffer from disorders of thought, feeling and behavior cause changes in attitudes and behavior that hinder normal human functioning. Mental disorders as a syndrome characterized by a change in a person's behavior that will be associated with symptoms such as difficulties or disorders, as well as psychological functions and behavior that are not confident in dealing with people but can also be with that person. An expert system is an intelligent computer technology that is based on solving problems using inferential knowledge and procedures. As a problem solver, expert systems will also find it easier to make decisions or policies like humans do. This study aims to produce an expert system that is used to analyze mental disorders who can make similar decisions, as well as psychiatric specialists. The data processed in this study is scientific data on mental disorders ranging from types of mental illness, early symptoms of disease and patient diagnosis data by mental health specialists, then the data is processed using the Certainty Factor method and displayed in the form of a web-based application using the PHP programming language. and MySQL databases. The results obtained from testing the expert system using the Certainty Factor method show that there is a match between the results of an expert diagnosis of depression with a certainty level of 73%. An expert system for analyzing mental disorders using the Certainty Factor method can make it easier for sufferers to understand the type of mental disorder they are experiencing.
