scholarly journals Voice Based E-Mail System using Artficial Intelligence

One of the mostly used forms of communication among the people is Email. Lot of confidential and urgent information is exchanged over emails in today’s time. There are about 253 million visually impaired people worldwide. These visually impaired people are facing a problem of communication. Since, technology is growing day by day these types to visually challenged people feel that they are more challenged. So authors proposed a Voice based Email System using AI that will make email system very easily accessible to visually challenged people and also help society. Accessibility is the most important feature that is considered while developing this system. Any system is called accessible only if both able and disable people can use it easily

This paper describes a obstacle detection system for visually impaired people using Image processing in MATLAB.This system, together with ultra-sonic sensor interfaced with Arduino detects stairs and doors with or without signage and distance of these objects from the user. This information is conveyed to the user through a speaker. The results show satisfactory accuracy in detecting stairs and extracting different signage on doors such as that of washroom, exit, elevator etc.

Banknote recognition is a major problem faced by visually Challenged people. So we propose a system to help the visually Challenged people to identify the different types of Indian currencies through deep learning technique. In our proposed project, bank notes with different positions are directly fed into VGG 16, a pretrained model of convolution neural network which extracts deep features. From our work the visually impaired people will be able to recognize different types if Indian Currencies.

The chapter focuses on the development of tools containing the basics of Braille and methods that help the people to manage this type of language to enhance the strength of collective thinking in educational statements, taking into account key background; this is why the development of tools containing the basic aspects of the Braille system and the necessary methods to enable the subject to master this type of language, enhancing the strength of collective thinking at the educational level, are so important. However, one of the main challenges in learning Braille is to engage the individual in literacy processes, which is why the creation of learning cards is proposed, to enable people to learn Braille.

In this paper, We describe an email client application that sends and receives emails, and converts them to speech and also transcripts them into Braille script with special emphasis on special symbols so that visually impaired people will also be able to read emails. This application filters unwanted message like advertisement, spam and more text from mail and converts this message text into speech or Braille script. Then this Braille script is sent to the parallel port so that it can be embossed on paper by Braille Embosser or can be read by electronic Braille reader attached to the parallel port. This application increases the availability of information and use of technology for handicapped that is for visually impaired individuals.

In today's world, communication has become very easy due to integration of communication technologies with internet. However, the visually challenged people find it very difficult to utilize this technology because of the fact that using it requires visual perception. Even though much advancement has been implemented to help them use computers efficiently, no user who is visually challenged can use this technology as efficiently as a normal user since they require some practice for using the available technologies. This project aims at developing an email system that will help even a naïve, visually impaired person to use the services for communication without previous training. The system does not require the use of keyboard. Instead, it will work only on mouse operations and speech. This system can also be used by any normal person, for instance, by someone who is unable to read.

Technology-based applications are developed day by day in the whole world. But more of those are unusable for the visually impaired people. One of such applications, email has become an important and significant part of formal communication in the professional world. Thus, Voice Mail turns out to be an application through which visionless people can easily send or receive emails. The application uses “Voice to Text” and “Text to Voice” conversion to be usable for the visually impaired people. The system at first takes voice signals from the users as inputs, processes the signals and then converts that voice signals into the text. After that a text processing method is applied to convert the text into voice. Finally, the gmail server is used to connect the server with generating address to send or receive any mail. This application is useful for not only blind people but also for the normal people who always remain busy and doesn’t have time to type in keyboard. Moreover, this application is very much helpful and efficient in time utilization.
