The paper aims to understand how people respond to the recent changes that are made due to environmental depletion. Green products are an outcome of the demand made by consumers and various government regulations over the manufacturers to maintain a sustainable environment. The knowledge of a consumer is highly important in identifying an actual green product over a presumed one. Purpose: To measure their level of perception and knowledge about a green product among various age groups and occupational categories. Methodology: Structural equation modeling (SEM) is used to study the relationship of green product perception and green product knowledge over green purchase intention. Garrett ranking was used to measure the reasons of purchase. Findings: Green product perception has more impact over green purchase intention than green product knowledge. Necessity and cost of the product were the main reasons for purchasing a product. Implications: The green product perception was more influential in green purchase intention. Hence these factors may be taken for consideration in improving the product quality meeting the perception of consumers about the product. Keeping a regular check over the product’s quality may also improve the sales of the product.

With the advent of the Internet and other digital technologies, contemporary businesses from all sectors are using social media for communication with consumers to engage them meaningfully with a brand. However, the use of social media for corporate social responsibility (CSR) communication is relatively new to the existing literature. Likewise, the impact of CSR communication through social media (CSR-S) on consumer emotions and behavior is, to date, underexplored. To address this, the present research aims to test the relationship of CSR-S on brand admiration and consumer purchase intention. The study proposes a direct relationship between CSR-S and purchase intention with a mediating effect of brand admiration. The data were collected from the banking consumers of Pakistan through a self-administered questionnaire. The authors distributed 800 questionnaires and received 463 questionnaires useful for data analysis, so the present research study response rate was around 59%. The data were analyzed using the structural equation modeling (SEM) technique in AMOS. The results revealed that CSR-S is positively related to purchase intention (β = 0.233). The results further showed that brand admiration partially mediates this relationship (β = 0.079). The survey respondents confirmed that their bank’s CSR communication helps enhance their purchase likelihood and their feelings of admiration for their bank. These findings will help policymakers at banking institutions better understand the importance of CSR communication on different social media platforms to achieve consumer-related outcomes.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah keinovatifan dapat memoderasi peran pengaruh sosial terhadap minat pembelian kopi Starbucks sebagai produk hijau. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survey. Responden adalah 100 konsumen Starbucks. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah convenience sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner. Teknik analisis data menggunakan Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh sosial berpengaruh terhadap niat membeli kopi Starbucks dan keinovatifan konsumen tidak memoderasi peran pengaruh sosial terhadap minat pembelian kopi Starbuck sebagai produk hijau. The purpose of this study was to determine whether innovativeness can moderate the role of social influence in the purchase intention of Starbucks coffee as a green product. Respondents were 100 Starbucks consumers. The sampling technique is convenience sampling. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire by survey method. Data analysis techniques using Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling. The results showed that social influence had effect on Starbucks coffee purchase intentions and consumer innovativeness did not moderate the role of social influence on the purchase intention of Starbuck coffee as a green product. This might be due to brand equity factors, collectivistic culture and limited sample size, which can be suggested for future researchers.

<p>O objetivo com a presente pesquisa foi avaliar a relação da preocupação ambiental do consumidor com sua efetiva declaração de compra de produtos verdes no varejo. Orientado por uma linha de pesquisa que busca explicar o fato de o comportamento ter como precedente a intenção e não a atitude, foi avaliado se a preocupação dos consumidores com o meio ambiente está sendo convertidas em intenção de compra e posterior declaração de compra. O problema que orientou a pesquisa pode ser expresso pela seguinte questão: a preocupação ambiental está relacionada com a intenção de compra para se tornar compra declarada de produtos verdes no varejo? Para responder a essa questão e atender ao objetivo proposto, foi realizada uma pesquisa de natureza quantitativa por meio de um <em>survey</em> com 1.233 consumidores reais de quatro capitais brasileiras, avaliando-se a percepção que eles possuem de si mesmos e dos outros. A análise de dados foi feita utilizando-se a modelagem de equações estruturais por meio do <em>software</em> SmartPLS 3.0. Os resultados indicam que os consumidores pesquisados não demonstram relacionar diretamente sua preocupação ambiental com a compra declarada de produtos verdes, que revelou ser formada pela intenção de compra. Guided by a line of research that seeks to explain the fact that the behavior has as a precedent the intention and not the attitude was assessed to consumer concern about the environment and these are converted into purchase intent and purchase later statement. The problem oriented research can be expressed by the following question: Environmental concern is related to the purchase intention to become declared purchase of green products at retail? To resolve this matter and meet the proposed objective, a quantitative research through a survey with the 1233 actual consumers of four brazilian capitals assessing his perception as an individual was carried out and as he watches others. Data analysis was performed using the structural equation modeling through SmartPLS 3.0 software. The results indicate that consumers surveyed do not demonstrate directly relate their environmental concerns with the purchase declared for green products, which were shown to be formed by purchase intent. This perception takes place in the two conditions, when they respond on their perception and when they answer about how he observes others (society).</p><p>Keywords:<strong> </strong>Green consumption. Purpose Acceptance of remanufactured products by the consumers is highly essential for the success of closed loop supply chain and for achieving the goal of circular economy. However, the literature shows that consumers are reluctant to purchase remanufactured products. Therefore, the study of attitude and purchase intention (PI) of the consumers toward remanufactured products becomes inevitable for popularizing these products. The paper aims to discuss this issue. Design/methodology/approach This research proposes a conceptual model to examine the critical factors influencing the PI of Indian consumers toward remanufactured products. Further, this model is empirically tested, using structural equation modeling technique, based on the data obtained from 1,534 respondents. Findings The findings of this research suggest that PI of consumers is influenced by attitude, personal benefits, remanufactured product knowledge, risk perception, subjective norm and market strategy. However, perceived behavior control and green awareness have a non-significant impact on the PI of Indian consumers. Research limitations/implications The proposed conceptual model is tested only against the data received from the students of Indian universities who possess electronic gadgets. Practical implications The circular economy can be realized through remanufacturing if the attitude of consumers is shaped positively toward remanufactured products through the dissemination of comprehensive product information. Originality/value This research is the first attempt to assess the PI of Indian consumers by developing and testing the conceptual model. Further, this research provides guidelines to remanufacturing firms for attracting the consumers toward the purchase of remanufactured products.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is threefold: to assess the impact of green brand positioning, consumers’ attitude toward green brands, and green brand knowledge on green product purchase intention; to investigate the influence of green brand knowledge on consumers’ attitude toward green brands; and to examine the moderating effect of green brand knowledge on the relationship between green brand positioning and green product purchase intention. Design/methodology/approach A questionnaire was utilized to gather the data (n=300) for this study. The purposive sampling technique was used, involving respondents who practice a green lifestyle and have had green product purchasing experience. The partial least squares (PLS) method, which is a variance-based technique for the analysis of structural equation modeling, was used to analyze the data, with the assistance of the SmartPLS computer program version 2.0. Findings Based on the standardized path coefficients of the structural model from the PLS results, green brand knowledge was found to be the most significant determinant of green product purchase intention. Knowledge of green brands has caused consumers to develop positive green marketing awareness and has bolstered their interest in fortifying the environment whilst preventing its degradation. Furthermore, green brand knowledge also impacted consumers’ attitude toward green brands. However, this factor was an insignificant moderator of the impact between green brand positioning and green product purchase intention. Practical implications Green brand positioning can be used by firms and businesses to better market their products and improve consumers’ green brand knowledge and attitude toward green brands, as well as increase green brand purchase intentions. Successful green brand positioning is seen as an advantage for marketers that can be used to differentiate their products from the available competitors, giving the impression that their products are distinguishable, and thus creating more demand and generating increased intention to purchase more green products. Originality/value The empirical results of this study address the gap in the prevailing body of literature in reference to the impact of green brand positioning and consumer attitude toward green brands, as well as the effect of green brand knowledge on green product purchase intention. This study found that green brand knowledge does not moderate the relationship between green brand positioning and green product purchase intention, thus providing insight into this subject matter, which has not been clearly examined in previous studies.

Marketing managers keenly seek to understand the green market. However, insufficient information on how to foster consumers' green behavior is slowing the growth of green markets and becoming a barrier for firms when communicating strategies for effectively promoting green products. Therefore, this chapter attempts to examine the impact of environmental knowledge and cultural values on consumers' green purchase intentions. A survey was administered and a total of 200 valid questionnaires were obtained. Structural equation modeling (SEM) technique was used to assess the model. The finding shows that cultural values significantly related to green product purchase intention. The results also indicate environmental knowledge is not a significant factor influencing buying intention of green products. The discussions and implications of these findings are further elaborated.

Purpose – The paper aims to explore the reasons underlying the key assumption in the closed-loop supply chain (CLSC) literature that consumers' purchase intention is lower for remanufactured products than for new products. It aims to complement the predominantly operation-focused CLSC research by examining consumers' perception of and behavior relating to remanufactured products. Design/methodology/approach – A theoretical model is developed by integrating the concepts of perceived benefits and product knowledge with the theory of planned behavior and the theory of perceived risk. Then the model is examined through an empirical study in the Chinese automobile spare parts industry involving 288 respondents and using structural equation modeling. Findings – The results indicate that purchase intention is directly influenced by purchase attitude followed by perceived behavioral control and indirectly influenced by perceived risk, perceived benefit and product knowledge via attitude. Therefore, effective measures to promote consumers' purchase intention rely on coordinated policies built on multiple pillars instead of single factors. Originality/value – This is one of the first empirical studies to explore the factors that underpin consumers' purchase intention regarding remanufactured products. The results can be used to validate the key assumptions in operational models and foster new research in the context of CLSCs.

This paper looks into the sustainability aspect from millennials point of view and highlight the factors which influence their buying decision to prefer green or eco-friendly products over traditional products. Initially, those factors were identified which have an impact on green product purchase intention and their relationship is assessed. To explore the factors, an extensive literature review was conducted and three factors green brand knowledge, attitude towards green brand and willingness to pay were found to be pertinent. This study adopts a conclusive research design to investigate the impact of these factors on green product purchase intention. Data was analyzed through exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and structural equation modeling (SEM) on a sample size of 376. Results of study showed that all the constructs namely green brand knowledge, attitude towards green brand and willingness to pay have direct and positive effect on green product purchase intention.

Social commerce (s-commerce) has risen in popularity primarily owing to social media development. We investigated social support as a predictor of s-commerce purchase intention, and the mediating role of social trust in this relationship. Participants comprised 356 undergraduate students at five Chinese public universities. Structural equation modeling results indicate that social support had a direct positive effect on s-commerce purchase intention, and that social trust partially mediated this relationship. Our findings shed light on the relationship of social support and s-commerce purchase intention, and the practical contribution of the findings is that they can assist practitioners to develop better s-commerce strategies.

This study aims to analyze and prove effect of the green marketing-based marketing mix consisting of (green product, green price, green distribution, green promotion) on corporate image and its implications for the purchase intention of food and beverage companies in Indonesia, partially or jointly and the effect of the green marketing-minded marketing mix consisting of (green product, green price, green distribution, green promotion) and corporate image on the purchase intention of food and beverage companies in Indonesia, both partially or collectively. The research method used in this research is descriptive and verification methods with a sample of 205 respondents, and the data analysis method used is SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) using the Lisrel Program. Based on the research results, the following findings were found as green product, green price, green distribution and green promotion both partially and collectively have a positive and significant effect on corporate image with a coefficient of determination (R2) of 88%. Likewise, green product, green price, green distribution, green promotion and corporate image either partially or collectively have a positive and significant effect on purchase intention with a coefficient of determination (R2) of 98%. This research finds and proves that to increase purchase intention it is necessary to increase the marketing mix with a marketing perspective (green product, green price, green distribution and green promotion) and corporate image in the non-physical identity dimensions needs to be improved.
