This study proposes a management model by business processes for science parks based on the premises and concept of enterprise architecture (EA). The model offers integrating business processes with activities and information that can be generated by adopting customized information systems to meet the science parks’ needs. The proposed model’s main contributions included EA as a means for shaping and enabling reconfiguration through descriptions of the structures of business processes and information systems that connect these structures, forming business and information architecture frameworks. In association with these frameworks, the managers need to define a coherent set of patterns, policies, procedures, and principles that sustain the business processes integrated with the information systems. As a result of the study, this model can help management execute and control activities related to business processes in the parks through interaction and alignment with the information system intended to facilitate the execution. The model will also lead to greater agility and efficiency in these business processes, considering their specific nature and the relationship with the parks’ actors. As a practical contribution, knowledge of these processes aids the management of the parks in their drive for a competitive advantage by maintaining and developing their management models.

ABSTRACT This paper examines the enterprise architecture process from the perspective of information systems controls, which refer to attempts to influence the behavior of employees in order to achieve organizational goals. Although controls have been extensively studied in processes such as systems development, there is little research examining control within the enterprise architecture process, despite its rising importance in today's organizations. This paper examines how enterprise architecture controls are employed in practice and considers the challenges faced in their design and operation. Drawing on empirical data from two in-depth case studies, enterprise architecture controls are classified and analyzed using COBIT 5. Our findings identify a series of specific challenges with enterprise architecture controls. Based on these challenges, we outline recommendations to practitioners in overseeing the enterprise architecture process and develop propositions to help guide future research initiatives to enhance enterprise architecture performance.

This chapter illustrates how to optimize the return on investment (ROI) of enterprise architecture. Enterprise architecture is a blueprint for defining the structure and operation of organizations such as local, state, and federal agencies. Done well, enterprise architecture results in leaner and more effective information systems that satisfy organizational goals and objectives. This chapter introduces a suite of simple metrics and models for measuring the ROI of enterprise architecture. This chapter also introduces real options, which is a contemporary approach to measuring ROI. Whereas typical measures tend to underestimate ROI, real options have the ability to unearth business value hidden deep within the economics of investments in enterprise architecture.

Persaingan yang semakin kompetitif dan ketat didalam dunia Pendidikan ini terutama tingkat perguruan tinggi yang dikelola oleh swadaya masayarakat (swasta), mengha-ruskan dan menuntut pihak pengelola untuk terus mengembangkan atau membangun sistem informasi dalam membantu aktivitas bisnis untuk mencapai tujuan dari organisasi dan sebagai layanan bagi stakeholder.Enterprise merupakan sekumpulan organisasi yang memiliki beberapa tujuan/prinsip umum dan atau suatu garisan dasar. Perguruan tinggi merupakan salah satu enterprise yang bergerak pada bidang Pendidikan. Meningkatnya kebutuhan terhadap data dan informasi dalam fungsi bisnis yang dijalankan oleh suatu perguruan tinggi merupakan salah satu pendorong pemanfaatan sistem informasi di dalam perguruan tinggi. Pelayanan medis yang belum didukung oleh pemanfaatan teknologi secara optimal menimbulkan permasalahan terutama berkaitan dengan pelayanan medis pasien. Perencanaan arsitektur enterprise dalam mendukung aktivitas bisnis rumah sakit harus ada, meliputi arsitektur data, aplikasi dan teknologi. Tujuan perencanaan ini adalah membuat blueprint enterprise architecture di Rumah Sakit Umum Muhammadiyah Surya Melati Kediri sebagai pedoman pencapaian tujuan organisasi. Adapun konsep yang dipakai adalah EAP dengan menggunakan Zachman framework. Hasil dari perencanaan ini adalah terbentuknya entitas data, usulan aplikasi serta rencana peta jaringan sesuai dengan visi, misi dan tujuan organisasi sehingga tercipta pelayanan medis yang bermutu.Medical services are not supported by the use of technology in optimally cause problems mainly related to the patient's medical care. Enterprise architecture planning in support of the hospital business activity must exist, including data architecture, application and technology. The purpose of planning is to make enterprise architecture blueprint at Muhammadiyah Hospital Surya Melati Kediri to guide the achievement of organizational goals. The concept is used by EAP using the Zachman framework. Results of this project is the establishment of a data entity, applications and network plans in accordance with the vision, mission and goals of the organization so as to create the quality of medical care.

The purpose of information system integrity with the actual needs of the organization is to reduce the gap that occurs in the system development process. To reduce the gap, a paradigm is needed in planning, designing, and managing information systems. The paradigm or methodology used in the planning of information systems infrastructure construction infrastructure uses TOGAF-ADM. Stages in the development of information systems by modeling business architecture, data architecture, application architecture and technology architecture in accordance with the TOGAF-ADM framework. The output of this stage will produce a reference (blueprint) by the agency to achieve its strategic objectives.

Bappenda currently utilizes Information Systems as the main driver in its activities which include the process of registration, data collection, determination, acceptance, billing, and reporting, in supporting its activities Bappenda needs to have an Information System strategic planning that can identify computer-based application portfolios in carrying out business processes, by therefore we need a tool that can be used to provide a basic organizational structure for the company as a whole using Enterprise Architecture. The method used in architectural planning is The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF), which can provide techniques on how to build, manage and implement enterprise architecture and information systems called the Architecture Development Method (ADM). Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the application of the TOGAF method in Bappenda can improve the performance of the system applied by a percentage of 57.29%. The suggestion for implementing TOGAF in Bappenda is to be able to develop gradually according to the existing stages in TOGAF and explain how to find an organization's enterprise architecture specifically based on business needs and processes

<p>Perguruan tinggi swasta di Palembang dalam membangun SIE/sistem informasi eksekutif Nya secara sendiri-sendiri dan belum ada pedoman yang digunakan sebagai acuan, walaupun diketahui proses bisnis sistem informasi akademik di Perguruan Tinggi secara umum adalah sama. Berdasarkan pengamatan belum ada kerangka kerja SIE akademik yang tersedia dan bisa dijadikan sebagai pedoman untuk membangun SIE akademik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah merancang kerangka kerja SIE akademik dengan memperhatikan berbagai faktor dan permasalahan yang ditemukan, seperti dari kerangka kerja SIE akademik, sistem bagaimana yang akan dibuat dan tatacara pembuatannya. Faktor lain, kerangka SIE akademik  yang akan dibuat harus bersifat dinamis yang bisa dimungkinkan untuk dilakukan perubahan sesuai dengan kondisi dan kebutuhan perguruan tinggi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode EAP (Enterprise Architecture Planning) untuk menganalisis dan membuat kerangka kerja SIE akademik. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah kerangka kerja sistem dalam bentuk arsitektur data dan  arsitektur aplikasi. Kerangka kerja SIE akademik ini diharapkan dapat digunakan sebagai pedoman dalam perencanaan dan pengembangan SIE akademik  di perguruan tinggi swasta di Palembang.</p><p><em><strong>Abstract</strong></em></p><p><em>Private universities in Palembang are building their own EIS / executive information systems and a guide is not used as a reference, although it is known that the business process of academic information systems in universities is generally the same. Based on the observations, there is no scientific EIS framework and it can be used as a guide to build the academic EIS. The purpose of this research is to design the scientific structure of the EIS, taking into account the various factors and problems encountered. Another factor, the scientific structure of the EIS that will be created, must be dynamic, which can be modified according to the conditions and needs of the university. This study uses the EAP (Enterprise Architecture Planning) methodology to analyze and build an academic EIS framework. The results of this study are system structures in the form of data architecture and application architecture. The scientific framework of the EIS serves as a guide for the planning and development of the academic EIS in the private universities of Palembang.</em></p><p><em><strong><br /></strong></em></p>
