The expeditious proliferation of artificial intelligence in the mainstream has rejigged the simplest processes of the various sectors in the most efficient way. With the advent of the era of cybernation, the work culture has been curbed with the timely developments and upgradation of the technology. Cybernation has propelled the growth of every respective sector of the vast corporate diaspora with time. The main aim of the cybernation being that of smoothening the complex, bulk tasks which exploit mass human energy, has seen much success in its purpose so far. But certain domains of the corporate diaspora still await the technological transformation of their respective processes. One such prominent domain and the real fuel of the corporate diaspora, the human resource has yet to expand its purview to imbibe and imbue cybernation in its certain processes. Human resource domain being the custodian of the corporate, wherein it is for the people and by the people though with the niche of Industry 4.0 beholds more space to expand the angle of understanding the term resource for the human, than human as an element of resource in itself. Multifarious human resource processes can be enhanced further with apt utility of digitization in order to optimize the user interface and user experience, boosting the overall employee experience amidst the corporate. Several certain customary functions of the human resources entail the adaptation of automation in more nuanced way to evolve parallel with the digitalization. Moreover, the millennial era further looks up to a transformed human resource with higher echelons of functions to be performed, digitally evolved jobs, an automated work environment, work culture well acquainted with the artificial intelligence. The effect of cybernation on the business acumen of futuristic human resource leaders, working in the rapid concurrent era of disruptions, without losing the human touch, will carve the future human resource structure. Therefore, the intent of this chapter is to study the detailed implications of automation, digitalization, and cybernation in the domain of human resources and to study and examine the dynamically changing HR functions with technological interventions and disruptions by proposing a literature review.

OBJECTIVE Identify the direct cost of reprocessing double and single cotton-woven drapes of the surgical LAP package. METHOD A quantitative, exploratory and descriptive case study, performed at a teaching hospital. The direct cost of reprocessing cotton-woven surgical drapes was calculated by multiplying the time spent by professionals involved in reprocessing the unit with the direct cost of labor, adding to the cost of materials. The Brazilian currency (R$) originally used for the calculations was converted to US currency at the rate of US$0.42/R$. RESULTS The average total cost for surgical LAP package was US$9.72, with the predominance being in the cost of materials (US$8.70 or 89.65%). It is noteworthy that the average total cost of materials was mostly impacted by the cost of the cotton-woven drapes (US$7.99 or 91.90%). CONCLUSION The knowledge gained will subsidize discussions about replacing reusable cotton-woven surgical drapes for disposable ones, favoring arguments regarding the advantages and disadvantages of this possibility considering human resources, materials, as well as structural, environmental and financial resources.

Understanding that electrical engineering graduates who have experience and are able to know the electric power system in the industry are the main thoughts of the writer to conduct research. Through the manufacture of a three-phase ac motor control practicum module, which is the type of motor most often used in industrial activities, is expected to provide more knowledge to prospective graduates of electrical engineering engineers. The author determines the two previous research categories chosen as references, namely the training of electric motor modules and the final project of electrical engineering students. In this study the ATV12HU15M2 inverter is used to control changing the frequency value as an input variable to determine its effect on output variables such as voltage, current, power, rpm, and THD. Equipped with SoMove software that is connected to the laptop to be able to change the value of input variables such as motor power, number of poles, and power factors to match the specifications of the electric motor used, the software can also monitor if an error occurs in the system. At the measurement stage, the measuring instrument used is a Power Analyzer to measure the input power of a single-phase system at the source grid PLN, the output power of a three-phase electric motor system, and experimental measurements of motors coupled with a dc generator. For the purposes of data processing, DataView software is used to display the measurement results into a laptop, the resulting display can be in the form of a waveform graph, a graph of THD occurrence, and power information for which the displayed data can be stored. The THD result most optimal at 50Hz frequency with THDv value 18.69% and THDi value 9.04%.

Abstract This work aims to analyze the influence of the compressive strength of concrete columns in the design of a multi-floor building using the CAD/TQS computational tool. The strengths of the columns varied in increments of 5 MPa, from 35 MPa to 90 MPa, with a 35 MPa resistance in the remaining structural elements. Analyses of the horizontal deformability, stability parameters, and optimized sections, as well as quantities and cost of the main materials used (concrete, steel, and formwork), were performed. As a result, a 32% reduction to the total area of the columns was achieved; consequently, a reduction in material quantities and the total cost of the building was also achieved. Thus, greater durability was provided without major costs or loss in structural safety.

Recent years have seen sparked interest to business models based on sustainable development, which seek harmonious co-development of human resources, organizational culture, and production systems. This paper analyzes how HR management practices, a culture of energy conservation, and staff’s knowledge regarding energy efficiency affect the ability of Russian industrial companies to reach their targets in energy management. Methods in use involve factor analysis, structural equation modeling (SEM), and the author-developed questionnaire that is designed to measure the effects of internal intellectual factors (human resources, culture, and knowledge) on industrial energy performance. For the first time, this paper presents an SEM-based estimation of HR practices and their effects on industrial energy performance. Empirically, this study is based on the results of surveys that involved managers and technical officers of 14 Russian industrial companies in 2016-2017. Analysis shows that employee training, development of energy efficiency skills, and sharing knowledge on energy conservation issues do contribute to reaching the energy policy targets.

Purpose. The paper analyzes the system and methods of starting synchronous electric motors of fans of the main ventilation of iron ore mines. It is concluded that it is necessary to modernize the method of starting a synchronous electric motor, despite the fact that the installed direct start-up system has a number of disadvantages, and negatively affects the energy indicators of the electromechanical complex of the main ventilation fan of mines. The priority direction in solving the complex of the above problems is the use of modern achievements in the field of semiconductor conversion technology, in terms of the development of effective circuits and methods for starting and controlling a synchronous electric drive. Originality. The method of separate regulation of size and frequency of output voltage of the multilevel converter of a clock at quasi-frequency start of the synchronous electric drive is offered, limits admissible values of starting currents to admissible values. Methodology. Simulation of transient processes of starting a synchronous electric motor with step-by-step changes in voltage and frequency of supply, which made it possible to determine the energy efficiency of this method. Result. A new method of starting with a step-by-step change in the voltage and frequency of a synchronous motor is proposed. The modeling of the proposed starting method for a synchronous electric motor with a fan torque on the motor shaft was carried out, while it allowed to get rid of the main drawback, namely, a large starting current and made it possible to increase the energy efficiency of the electromechanical complex of the main ventilation fans due to the fact that the consumed active energy during start-up will decrease approximately 50% compared to a direct starting system. Practical value. The proposed method and the obtained results of the study made it possible to prove that the effectiveness of the proposed method is very high and this will save most of the electrical energy when starting the fans of the main ventilation of iron ore mines.
