Forms of production specialization and its effectiveness are considered. It is shown that the effectiveness of specialization is based on the repeatability of technology. The criterion for choosing the form of specialization according to the greatest economic effect is proposed. It is noted that at one enterprise it is possible to use different forms of specialization at different levels of production. Keywords: subject, technological, mixed specialization, subject of production, technology, labor intensity, repeatability, effectiveness, enterprise, workshop, site, workplace, product, unit, part. A nonhomogeneous production is used to study the features of the production technology across U.S. cities. We compute marginal productivities and scale elasticities for different levels of inputs and outputs. The form of the production function allows variable returns to scale. We can also test the Cobb-Douglas and constant elasticity of substitution forms within the nonhomogeneous specification. Conclusions are drawn concerning returns to scale across cities of different sizes.

The article analyzes the features of professional training of future employees of the machine-building industry in higher education institutions of Ukraine. The existing developments on the research problem and practical aspects of training future specialists in mechanical engineering are analyzed. The object of research is the process of professional training of future specialists in mechanical engineering. The purpose of this article is to analyze the features of professional training of future specialists in the machine-building industry with further identification of problems and prospects for improving the professional training of future specialists in mechanical engineering. Based on the analysis of curricula for bachelors and masters of mechanical engineering, the structure of the study load by cycles of disciplines is established. In particular, the share of humanitarian, natural, professional and practical training of future workers in the machine-building industry is determined. The directions of improvement of professional training of future specialists of mechanical engineering by the analysis and adaptation of general didactic principles concerning definition of the maintenance of education are defined: the account of social conditions and needs of a society; compliance of the content of education with the goals of the chosen model of education; structural unity of the content of education at different levels; unity of semantic and procedural aspects of education; accessibility and environmental compliance. Prospects for further research are the development of methodological support for the training of future specialists in engineering specialties on the basis of a competency-based approach

Research has highlighted Digital Games (DG)’ capacity to enhance skill and abilities through their persuasiveness and motivational appeal, which can support immersive, situated and user-centered experiences. DG development remains a challenge both in terms of costs and of the diverse range of advanced, multi-disciplinary expertise required to develop a DG. Developing DGs for such a complex domain as Mechanical Engineering (ME) to better equip engineering students to practice at the intersection of complex systems increases this challenge. An alternative to decrease costs is to capitalize on existing DGs. The paper analyzes opportunities for DG adaptation, in order to enable the reengineer of existing games to fit specific purposes and support knowledge transfer. The authors build upon current research and practices to construct an approach for adapting DG content. Two case studies are presented as a proof of concept to exemplify the different levels of the digital game reengineering process.

The development of mechanical engineering in recent years has led to a special focus on the processing of functionally connected surfaces. In world practice, more attention is paid to the creation of methods, techniques, technological processes, tools, measures, etc., which would reduce the complexity of processing and assembling functionally connected surfaces (FCS) of details and connections. Currently, the connection between the dimensions and positions of surfaces is not standardized for all details. These details include body parts and frames that have V-shaped surfaces and associated planes. Apparently, this is due to the large variety of functionally connected surfaces and the complexity of controlling the technological support of dimensions. When coupling details of metal-cutting machines FCS, it is necessary to ensure simultaneous contact of two combined surfaces of the guides. This article provides a method for selecting the optimal layouts of the size limit deviations when assembling details with FCS. The influence of the location of the size limit deviations on the complexity of the fitting operation when assembling two combined surfaces of details is considered. Possible layouts of the size limit deviations are shown, as well as a diagram of the relative position of the two combined surfaces before the fit operation, depending on the values of the size limit deviations. Some recommendations are given for choosing the optimal layouts of the limit deviations of the dimensions of the adjacent planes: - the position of the adjacent planes depends on the size values and their deviations; - the position of the adjacent planes is significantly affected by the position of the size deviations of the connected planes; - depending on the location of the limit deviations of the size of the joints, the amount of removed allowance varies considerably and leads to a significant change in the labor intensity of the scraping process.

The work emphasizes the urgency of this problem, the importance of timely and high-quality pre-hospital assistance to victims of road accidents. The purpose was to show the importance of complex, interagency interactions in helping victims on motorways. The existing different tactical schemes to assist victims at the pre-hospital stage were analyzed. The success of the European countries in reducing the level of road accidents has shown their negative consequences compared to the Ukrainian current indicators. Also, the historical example of the constitutional result from the introduction of several provisions and actions in 1985 and 1986 in the USSR to improve pre-emergency care for the injured on the highways. As a result of the introduction of the provisions, the savings from pre-hospital losses amounted to 96.85 % of the total loss of fatalities on motorways. These data show the need to improve the universal organizational scheme of assistance to victims at the pre-hospital stage in Ukraine, which requires significant attention from state structures of different levels.

The article discusses the features of introducing a lean concept in service enterprises in the face of increased competition, the development of information and communication technologies, and the complexity of business processes. The authors emphasize that the success of the implementation of «Lean» technology depends on the development of cooperative ties in the enterprise, which are implemented in working groups created from specialists from various structural divisions, workers and managers. This allows to achieve the greatest economic effect in the implementation of this concept and is relevant when reducing the level of investment by the state and foreign companies in the conditions of self-investment of enterprises.

the field of occupational safety. In the coal sector of Russia, these indicators remain unacceptably high. In the structure of professional diseases of the Joint-Stock Company "SUEK", the most frequent are diseases caused by physical overload. It is worth noting that the high severity of labor is characteristic of working professions at mining, construction, mechanical engineering and metallurgy enterprises. The purpose of this study is to analyze occupational diseases in the mining industry and to consider the possibility of using an exo-skeleton in workplaces with high labor intensity.
