Introduction: Measures to prevent dental diseases are included in the list of medical care provided by dentists. Modern socio-economic transformations, including in health care, have contributed to the gradual evolution of the patient from the recipient of medical care to the consumer of services. The aim: To study the position of patients regarding the need and effectiveness of preventive dental care. Materials and methods: Study was conducted among 310 patients who were admitted in various municipal and state medical institutions, dental clinics and private dental offices in Uzhhorod. The average age of respondents is 26 years. The survey was conducted using questionnaires. Results: 90% of respondents are willing to pay for dental treatment based on the use of innovative technologies; 64% of people refer to paid services aesthetic therapeutic treatment; 87% of patients agree to pay for orthopedic treatment and 48% - for surgical intervention. Only 16% of respondents consider additional professional hygiene services and ready to pay for it themselves. Survey data show that 43.2% of patients give a doctor the main role in the treatment process. 42.8% of respondents need medical help in the form of advice or counseling for a decision on treatment. 14% of patients prefer to choose their own medical care and control the treatment. Conclusions: Dental prophylactic measures that are implemented in the practice of regulating social and labor relations, the presence of relationships between the physician and the patient develop by socio-psychological laws.

Abstract. In modern conditions dental treatment is one of the most common types of medical care in Ukraine, only 7.00 % of the young population are dentally healthy. During 2015–2019 the general practice of using 3.91 % of the consolidated state budget for health care for dental care was determined, mainly such funds were used for the maintenance of dental health care establishments. Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine «Some issues of implementation of the program of state guarantees of medical care in 2020» from February 5, 2020 for № 65 provides the calculation of the tariff for dental services in the amount of UAH 9.19 per unit. Preliminary calculations indicate that comparing to 2019 during 2020 the state financial support of dental care will be reduced by 3444.20 million UAH (68.60 %). There are reasonable doubts about the rationality of the design of the Medical Guarantee Program in terms of treatment of dental diseases which carries the risk of further increase in dental morbidity and reduced availability of dental care for population. Key words: dentistry, treatment, financing, reform, accessibility, discussion.

Introduction. Dental treatment performed in patients receiving continuous oral anticoagulant drug therapy is becoming increasingly common in dental offices. For these patients it is imperative to carry out careful anamnesis, as well as a multiprofessional clinical evaluation with regard to the risk and control of hemorrhagic or thromboembolic episodes. Objectives and Material and Methods. The aim is to evaluate postextraction hemorrhagic or thromboembolic episodes in patients who have been on anticoagulant medications for an uninterrupted period of 48 months. Results. Among the 108 patients evaluated, 215 extractions were performed in which there was only one case of postoperative bleeding. Warfarin was used by 98 patients; Warfarin associated with salicylic acetic acid by 9 patients and salicylic acetic acid in only 1 patient. As regards the serologic tests performed, International Normalized Ratio (INR) ranged from 0.8 to 4.9, with a mean of 3.15. Conclusion. Extractions in patients on oral anticoagulants must be performed in the least traumatic manner possible. It is not necessary to stop anticoagulant therapy to perform extractions. Local hemostasis techniques, such as obliterative sutures alone are sufficient to prevent hemorrhagic complications.

Introduction. The purpose of our work was to justify the need to improve the legislative, regulatory and methodological framework and preventative measures in relation to the spread of parasitic infections in the provision of medical care. There is a wide range of pathogens of parasitic infestations that are transmitted to humans through various medical manipulations and interventions carried out in various medical institutions. Contaminated care items and furnishings, medical instruments and equipment, solutions for infusion therapy, medical personnel’s clothing and hands, reusable medical products, drinking water, bedding, suture and dressing materials can serve as a major factor in the spread of parasitic infections in the provision of medical care. Purpose of research is the study of the structure and SMP of parasitic origin, circulating on the objects of the production environment in multi-profile medical and preventive institutions of stationary type in order to prevent the occurrence of their spread within medical institutions. Material and methods. The material for the study was flushes taken from the production environment in 3 multi-profile treatment and prevention institutions of inpatient type: a multi-specialty hospital, a maternity hospital and a hospital specializing in the treatment of patients with intestinal diseases for the eggs of worms and cysts of pathogenic protozoa. Results. During the 2-year monitoring of medical preventive institutions, a landscape of parasitic contamination was found to be obtained from the flushes taken from the production environment objects in the premises surveyed as part of the research work. Discussions. In the course of research, the risk of developing ISMP of parasitic origin was found to be determined by the degree of epidemiological safety of the hospital environment, the number and invasiveness of treatment and diagnostic manipulations and various medical technologies. Conclusion. It is necessary to conduct an expert assessment of regulatory and methodological documents in the field of epidemiological surveillance and sanitary and hygienic measures for the prevention of medical aid related infections of parasitic origin, to optimize the regulatory and methodological base, to develop a number of preventive measures aimed at stopping the spread of parasitic infections in the medical network.

Development of health care of Siberia in the 18th&nbsp;— first half of the 19th century was closely connected with economic and political development of the Russian state. Before the medical personnel emergence in Siberia its population received medication only in the form of folk remedies. Development of its territory, insanitary conditions of life of Siberians, constant contingent of exiled to the indigenous people, and severe climate contributed to the spread of such diseases as smallpox, syphilis, and others.<br> The first medical institutions of Siberia were military hospital and infirmaries. In the days of reign of the Empress Anna Ioannovna, the city medical care started developing, and thanks to an initiative of the industrial enterprises owners&nbsp;— medical care for miners. After the establishment of the Public Charity Orders in Siberia, hospitals under their jurisdiction began to function in Tobolsk, Irkutsk, and Tomsk. A worthy contribution to the development of local medical institutions was made by donators Tolstopyatov, Bednyagin, Chupalov, and others. However, deficiency of financing, hospitals, and the medical personnel couldn’t adequately satisfy the needs of Siberian inhabitants in medical care.<br> The purpose of the article is to analyse the condition of public health, causes of morbidity and mortality of the population, as well as the process of medical care development in Siberia the turn of the 18th century by means of a historical and genetic method.

Background: The therapeutic strategies to manage neurodegenerative diseases remain limited and it is necessary to discover new agents for their prevention and control. Oxidative stress and inflammation play a main role in the pathogenesis of neurodegenerative diseases. The aim of this study is to review the effects of green tea catechins against the Neurodegenerative Diseases. Methods: In this study, we extensively reviewed all articles on the terms of Green tea, catechins, CNS disorders, and different diseases in PubMed, Science Direct, Scopus, and Google Scholar databases between the years 1990 and 2017. Results: The present study found that catechins, the major flavonoids in green tea, are powerful antioxidants and radical scavengers which possess the potential roles in the management of neurodegenerative diseases. Catechins modulate the cellular and molecular mechanisms through the inflammation-related NF-&amp;#954;B and the nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2 (Nrf2) signaling pathways. Conclusion: The findings of the present review shows catechins could be effective against neurodegenerative diseases due to their antioxidation and anti-inflammation effects and the involved biochemical pathways including Nrf2 and NF-kB signaling pathways.<P&gt;

The modern strategy for the development of health care includes as one of the priorities maximum approach of medical services to the consumer. To solve this problem in the conditions of the Navy, it is advisable to create mobile medical complexes placed on specially equipped vessels. For the full and operational medical support of the fleet forces in specified areas of the world’s ocean at different distances from the main base sites, a system of marine mobile medical complexes should be created. In peacetime the system should include hospital ships, multipurpose vessels with a hospital on board, mobile polyclinic mobile complexes and high-speed ambulance boats. During the period of danger, the possibility should be provided for the rapid re-equipment of hospital and multifunctional vessels, as well as polyclinic complexes with an increase in evacuation capacity and an increase in the volume of medical care. For medical support of an amphibious assault operation on universal amphibious ships, a quick re-equipment of the premises specially allocated during the design process to medical facilities for emergency medical assistance and evacuation of the wounded to coastal medical institutions should be provided. In wartime, for the provision of medical care and evacuation of the wounded, vessels of various purposes must be used, the projects of which contain the capabilities and algorithms for their quick conversion into sanitary transports. Variants of the main tactical and technical characteristics of vessels of various classes intended for medical support of the fleet forces are proposed. A significant problem in the operation of medical vessels is their low patient load in the inter-transit period, which leads to the disqualification of full-time medical staff and reduces the quality of the maintenance of the vessel. When forming the operational-tactical model of operation of medical vessels, special attention should be paid to the staffing algorithms and ensuring that the courts are always ready to perform their tasks.
