The project's main goal is to build an online book store where users can search for and buy books based on title, author, and subject. The chosen books are shown in a tabular style and the customer may buy them online using a credit card. Using this Website, the user may buy a book online rather than going to a bookshop and spending time. Many online bookstores, such as Powell's and Amazon, were created using HTML. We suggest creating a comparable website with .NET and SQL Server. An online book store is a web application that allows customers to purchase ebooks. Through a web browser the customers can search for a book by its title or author, later can add it to the shopping cart and finally purchase using a credit card transaction. The client may sign in using his login credentials, or new clients can simply open an account. Customers must submit their full name, contact details, and shipping address. The user may also provide a review of a book by rating it on a scale of one to five. The books are classified into different types depending on their subject matter, such as software, databases, English, and architecture. Customers can shop online at the Online Book Store Website using a web browser. A client may create an account, sign in, add things to his shopping basket, and buy the product using his credit card information. As opposed to a frequent user, the Administrator has more abilities. He has the ability to add, delete, and edit book details, book categories, and member information, as well as confirm a placed order. This application was created with PHP and web programming languages. The Online Book Store is built using the Master page, data sets, data grids, and user controls.

Kata Kunci Kartu Ujian,QrCode, Enkripsi, Algoritma Caesar CipherAbstractAt present, all activities are digital based, this raises a new problem where crime has turned into digital crime. Data security plays an important role in maintaining the confidentiality of information so it does not fall into the wrong hands. Ciawigebang Model IV Patriot Vocational School has quite a lot of data to be processed, one of which is student academic data where the data is actually already using a computer. However, the implementation of the examination process is still done semi-manually where participants are given an examination paper containing the student's identity while the exam schedule must be seen on the notice board. This is felt to be less efficient in terms of time and less than optimal due to the use of space / place to stick to the schedule. Paper Exams given to students are also vulnerable to forgery because there are no special markers that are not easily imitated. Therefore, in this study an examination card was developed in which the card contained a qr code that had been encrypted using the Caesar Cipher Algorithm. When students / teachers want to see student data and exam schedules, they do a qrcode scan through Android by way of working the qr code will be generated by the system and described using the Caesar Cipher algorithm and then matched to the data in the database, if suitable it will display student data along with the exam schedule. While from the backend side, the admin can manage student data and exam schedules using a web application. This system is designed using UML and then implemented into the web and android. The final results of this application are expected to help the school and students in managing student data and exam data. Keywords Exam Card, Qr Code, Encription, Caesar Cipher Algorithm

Nowadays there are so many people who are surviving on only one meal per day. Especially in developing countries, it is one of the major problems. On the other hand, there is so much wastage of food every day. Some poor people need clothes and vessels, and children need some books and study kits. Solution to this is that we only need to donate the leftover food to needy people, charities, and our old stuff. For that to happen, we need some sort of platform. This could be any online platform like a website/web application. In Saudi Arabia, there are so many people who are capable of making donations and also there are so many Nongovernmental Organizations (NGOs) which are helping poor and needy people of Saudi Arabia. But to connection gap is not as blur as it should be. There has to be some simple, fast, intuitive and secure way of doing such online donations so that users can donate easily with just a click. The aim of this work is to design and develop a Web Based Online charitable Donation System. Where, the charitable website will collect the charitable donations (such as clothes, toys, school tools) and delivers it to the children who need it. The proposed system will provide voluntary opportunities for those wishing to be volunteer in delivering the donations to the homes of the poor for free. The proposed work was designed and developed using the Unified Modeling Language (UML), SQL Server for implemented the database, and ASP.net and Visual basic programming languages.

Many database implementations are supported by application frameworks that can affect their performance. The paper presents a comparison of the performance of SQL Server, MySQL and PostgreSQL relational databases based on an application written in PHP using the Laravel framework. The time of performance for various types of queries, both simple and using column and table concatenation was evaluated. The obtained results for the same database structures differed depending on the operations performed on the databases. Looking at the entirety of the research conducted, it can be concluded that in the case of databases in which the number of records is not too large (up to 1000 records) and the technical parameters of the device on which the database is running are of low or medium class, MySQL performs very well.

BACKGROUND Our institution has prioritized improving hand hygiene rates. Empty or broken alcohol-based hand sanitizer dispensers are a barrier to efficient hand hygiene practices. One barrier is the lack of modalities for employees to alert when a dispenser is empty or broken. OBJECTIVE We hypothesize that adding predefined QR code functionality to an existing web-based service repair application for staff will facilitate increased alerts about empty hand sanitizer dispensers. METHODS The FixIt app is a Web-based application that enables staff at our academic hospital to report issues to environmental services including when supplies are broken, if rooms are dirty, or if an item in a room needs to be restocked. However, users must type a free text description of the problem to report it. We propose adding functionality to allow users to scan a QR code with their SmartPhone or enter a unique text code that will be labeled on each hand sanitizer dispenser. This unique code will be directly associated to a specific dispenser and alert the environmental services department to the exact dispenser to fix or replace, thereby reducing the number of empty or broken dispensers. To measure the scope of the problem, we evaluated the functionality of all hand sanitizer dispensers in public spaces on patient wards and hallways in our institution at a single point in time and then sequentially over a course of 48 hours. We also evaluated the usage of the existing FixIt application and categorized the types of requests that FixIt has processed to date. RESULTS Out of 535 hand sanitizer dispensers, forty-nine dispensers (9.2%) were not functional on our baseline evaluation. After 12 hours, 23 of these non-functional dispensers (46.9%) had not yet been fixed or refilled. After 48 hours, 17 dispensers (34.7%) were still not functioning. The existing FixIt application without QR codes was deployed in September 2017. Since then, the application has generated over 400 FixIt requests via manual text-entry form. Of those requests, 17% were categorized as “repair/restock” requests. CONCLUSIONS We propose adding a QR-based feature to an existing Web-based application to streamline and facilitate repetitive tasks such as reporting empty or broken hand sanitizer dispensers. Our preliminary results suggest that users are already willing to utilize a manual form via a Web application to request restocking or repair of items within the hospital. We think that lowering the barrier for reporting by utilizing QR codes may improve usage rates of this feature. Our next steps are to implement a small pilot of the FixIt QR code evaluate uptake and utilization.

The University of Zambia like any public institution has a lot of infrastructure which require maintenance and management. There’s however uncertainty of the utility lines locations and their depths. This causes destruction of water pipes and sewer lines when undertaking new constructions or any excavations. The lack of accurate location of underground and un-updated lines makes maintenance, management and planning of the utilities very difficult.  Therefore this study aimed to build a framework for Managing Sewer and Water Networks Using Sensor Networks at the University of Zambia. The Resident Engineer’s office only has some old scanned pdf sketches of both sewer and water networks. The field engineers locate most lines and other facilities using memory and experience. The methodology involved understating the existing operations of the Resident engineer’s office to ascertain the user needs. These needs formed the basis of the research, the development and design of the prototype of the Webbased Framework. Data Collection tools included Records (old maps) and Secondary Data (satellite images), Field Observations, Interviews and field Surveys. A presurvey (Reconnaissance Survey) was done to have an idea of the existing infrastructure and a more accurate survey was done using GPS GNSS equipment. The raw data was processed and GIS software was used to merge the collected datasets and the existing data. Georeferencing of existing maps and the satellite images was done using the GPS field data in ArcMap. New shapefiles were created from the point data from the survey and from digitising the existing scanned maps. New maps of the water and sewer networks (using the new shapefiles) and satellite imagery were created. A 15 digit coding system was created and was used to assign unique identification numbers and extra attribute information to the water and sewer network shapefiles. A QR code was generated for each node and the serial number recorded. Tagging was done using the QR code for each structure. All the shapefiles were loaded into a PostGreSQL spatial database and were used as input in the Web GIS application. The web application had some tools imbedded in it including; query, measure, add point/vertex, zoom, view, search and identify. Using internet of things (IOT) technology, water level sensors were placed on some critical manholes to help with the monitoring of the sewerage network. The system can therefore be used for identification of any infrastructure by scanning the QR code and a map showing the structure is seen online by the field technicians. Monitoring of the sewer system can be done using the sensors and ultimately the framework will ease the management of the water and sewer systems at the University of Zambia.

This research investigates the effects on e-commerce system performance of alternative types of application controls that continually monitor transaction-processing activity. The three categories of controls examined were relatively simple controls involving calculations, more complicated controls requiring database lookups, and the most intensive controls involving the use of aggregate statistical functions. A test e-commerce platform comprising a sales order entry application was programmed using Active Server Pages (ASP) technology. The system, running on a Windows 2000 Server platform with the data in a SQL Server 2000 database, was stress-tested using Microsoft's web Application Stress tool. To gauge the performance of the system under low, medium, and high load conditions, various statistics were gathered including processor utilization, ASP requests per second, SQL Server transactions per second, ASP requests queued, and time to last byte of the main order processing script. Results revealed that calculation controls could easily be accommodated by the e-commerce system, regardless of system load. Lookup controls had a detrimental effect on system performance only when they were heavily used. Aggregate function controls had a dramatic negative impact on system performance. The results of this study are useful for both capacity planning and capacity management and provide support for both internal and external auditors requesting the inclusion of continuous monitoring controls in modern e-commerce systems.
