Introduction: The COVID-19 pandemic has harmed various fields, and people's activities cannot run as usual. Prevention of the transmission of COVID-19 is very important to be applied in everyday life. Washing hands with soap or hand sanitizer is easy and inexpensive prevention to do, but there are still many people who are wrong in practicing it. This needs to be done more counseling and education to the community in order to increase public knowledge about handwashing and hand sanitizer. Method: This research is an analytic study with a research design using a one-group pretest-posttest design. Using 31 respondents from Taro villagers who attended the counseling. Data analysis using Paired Sample T-test and Kolmogorov-Smirnov Test for Normality Test. Result: The average value of knowledge before counseling is 53.8710 while the value after counseling is 82.9677. Paired Sample T-test and obtained a significance value of 0.000 so that a significant difference was found (<0.005) between the values before and after counseling. Conclusion: There is a significant difference in the level of knowledge before and after handwashing and hand sanitizer counseling.

Salah satu tanaman obat yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber obat alami adalah buah mangga (Mangifera indica L var. arum manis) karena mengandung senyawa metabolit sekunder. Kulit mangga mengandung senyawa aktif penting seperti senyawa fenolik, karotenoid, flavonoid dan antosianin yang diketahui memiliki aktifitas sebagai  antibakteri. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui  variasi kosentrasi berapakah yang berpontensi sebagai antibakteri . Pembuatan extrak etanol kulit buah mannga arum manis (Mangifera indica L var. arum manis) menggunakan  metode maserasi dengan pelarut etanol 96%. Formulasi sediaan dibuat menggunakan Na.CMC sebagai gelling agent dengan konsentrasi 2%, 4%, 8%. Pengujian evaluasi sediaan hand sanitazer ekstrak kulit  mangga meliputi uji organoleptis, uji homogenitas, uji pH, uji daya sebar, uji lekat, uji iritasi dan uji aktifitas antibakteri. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sifat fisik dari sediaan gel memberikan pengaruh terhadap sifat fisik gel ekstrak kulit mangga (Mangifera indica L var. arum manis). Berdasarkan uji aktivitas antibakteri kosentrasi  2%, 4%, 8% yang paling kuat menujukan aktifitas antibakteri  pada kosentrasi  8% dengan nilai rata-rata 18,28 mm.

Economic growth can be assessed through industrial development. However, problems arise regarding the discharge of waste into lakes or rivers, leading to biodiversity loss and endangering human health. A study conducted in the UK stated that small and medium enterprises (SMEs) were the largest contributor to waste and pollution. This was because they ignored the regulations governing environmental management. As happened in the Bekonang alcohol industry center, the waste from the alcohol production process polluted the Bengawan Solo tributary as the Water Supply Corporation (WSC). In order to overcome these problems, we need a measurement that can increase production efficiency. Eco-efficiency is a concept that combines efficiency and economy based on efficiency principles. The different models are proposed to measure the eco-efficiency of production, namely with a weighting system that aggregates environmental results. The Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) enables aggregation without the need for subjective or normative judgments about weights. Although DEA does not require subjective or normative judgments, weight restrictions can be incorporated into the framework. The purpose of this study was to determine the eco-efficiency of the Bekonang alcohol production process using the economic results of the production process and the environmental impact assessed through a life cycle assessment (LCA). There were three products, namely 30% alcohol for consumption, 90% alcohol for medical purposes, and hand sanitizer. The environmental impact was assessed from a life cycle assessment, while the economic assessment was determined by calculating the net profit for each product at a capacity of 100 liters/day. Economic assessment can be divided into two perspectives, namely the Social Perspective (SP) and Company Perspective (CP). From the modeling results, the most eco-efficient production process was hand sanitizer with an eco-efficiency value of 1.ABSTRAKPertumbuhan ekonomi dapat dinilai melalui perkembangan industri, tetapi masalah muncul terkait pembuangan limbah ke danau atau sungai yang menyebabkan hilangnya keanekaragaman hayati yang membahayakan kesehatan manusia. Penelitian yang dilakukan di Inggris menyatakan, jika penyumbang limbah dan polusi terbesar adalah dari usaha kecil menengah (UKM), karena mereka mengabaikan peraturan yang mengatur tentang pengelolaan lingkungan. Seperti yang terjadi di sentra industri alkohol Bekonang, limbah hasil proses produksi alkohol mencemari anak sungai Bengawan Solo sebagai suplai air PDAM. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut diperlukan suatu pengukuran yang dapat meningkatkan efisiensi produksi. Eko-efisiensi merupakan konsep yang menggabungkan efisiensi dan ekonomi berdasarkan prinsip efisiensi. Model yang berbeda diusulkan untuk mengukur eko-efisiensi pada suatu produksi, yaitu dengan sistem pembobotan yang mengagregasi hasil lingkungan. Analisis data envelopment analysis (DEA) memungkinkan agregasi tanpa membutuhkan penilaian subjektif atau normatif pada bobot. Meskipun DEA tidak memerlukan penilaian subjektif atau normatif, pembatasan bobot dapat dimasukkan ke dalam kerangka kerja. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui nilai eko-efisiensi proses produksi alkohol Bekonang, menggunakan hasil ekonomi dari proses produksi dan dampak lingkungan, yang dinilai melalui life cycle assessment (LCA).Terdapat tiga produk yang dianalisi, alkohol 30% untuk konsumsi; alkohol 90% untuk keperluan medis; dan hand sanitizer. Dari hasil pemodelan yang telah dilakukan, proses produksi yang paling eko-efisien adalah hand sanitizer dengan nilai eko-efisiensi adalah 1.

The potential for alcoholic vapors emitted by common sanitizing treatments to deteriorate the (electrostatic) filtration performance of disposable respirator masks has been investigated. Reports in the literature and some standard test methods provide a confusing and ambiguous picture concerning the relevance of this effect. Four different types of exposure were investigated in this study to clarify the effect of alcoholic vapor emissions on respirator masks. These included exposure to saturated vapors, use of hand sanitizers, cleaning of table surfaces and sanitization of masks by spraying them with alcohol-containing solutions. Methods employed were designed to be as real-world oriented as possible while remaining reproducible. Filtration performance and deterioration effects on exposure to the different treatments were determined on three different types of certified commercial respirator masks—a P2 and two KN95 masks. This study provides substantial evidence that disposable respirator masks with an accepted performance rating are seriously compromised from an exposure to saturated alcoholic vapors, can tolerate a one-off spray treatment with an alcoholic solution and retain their attested protection under the influence of alcoholic vapors from the use of hand sanitizer or spray sanitizer. Considering the range of vastly different outcomes obtained from the four treatments investigated, it seems prudent to assess in each case the specific effects of alcoholic solution treatments and vapors on respirator masks before use.

Nagasari (Mesua ferrea L.) is one of the biodiversity to be developed as an antiseptic preparation. These plants are known to contain flavonoid compounds, tannins, and terpenoids that act as antibacterial. Hand sanitizer gel preparations can increase the effectiveness of topically. The physical properties of a good gel depend on a gelling agent, one of which is HPMC. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of variations in HPMC levels on physical properties and antibacterial activity. Gels were prepared with various HPMC levels of 1%, 2%, and 3%. The gel was tested for physical properties and stability. All formulas produced preparations that met the requirements for good physical properties and stability. Testing of antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus showed that an increase in HPMC levels could decrease the ability to release the active substance of the preparation. The diameter of the inhibition zone obtained was 10.0 mm (HPMC 1%); 9.5 mm (2% HPMC) and 8.0 mm (3% HPMC). Increasing the concentration of HPMC will increase the viscosity and adhesion but decrease the spreadability. The three formulas had antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus with moderate criteria.Keywords: Extract of nagasari leaf, Gel, HPMC, Staphylococcus aureus

Zakat as one of the institutions in Islam, has a spiritual dimension and covers many aspects of community empowerment that include various aspects such as economic, social, health, education and religion, especially in the event of a pandemic. One of the community empowerment programs by zakat institutions is Zakat Community Development. One of the community empowerments programs by zakat institutions in this research to find out and analyze the concept of empowerment in the form of Zakat Community Development during the pandemic in Kahayya Village, Bulukumba Regency. The method in this study is qualitatively descriptive by finding detailed information related to the Zakat Community Development program in Kahayya Village, Bulukumba Regency. The results of this study show that several programs have been implemented covering various aspects such as socioeconomic, health, education and religion. In the field of health, disinfectant narrowing, vaccination programs, provision of handwashing, distribution of masks and hand sanitizers to socialization related to the prevention of the spread of the covid-19 virus to the community. Similarly, in the world of education, through ZCD is done the reactivation of reading parks and the development of ICT-based libraries. Socialization in pondok tahfidz as a preventive measure of transmission and healthy life is part of religious empowerment so that students can still learn religion. Especially in the economic aspects formed by several SME communities, namely farmers groups that develop AGROWISATA and horticulture, Kahayya coffee SMEs and honey mustika Kahayya SME groups.Zakat sebagai salah satu pranata dalam Islam, memiliki dimensi spiritual serta mencakup banyak aspek pemberdayaan masyarakat yang meliputi berbagai aspek seperti ekonomi, sosial, kesehatan, pendidikan dan agama, khususnya pada saat terjadi pandemi. Salah satu program pemberdayaan masyarakat oleh lembaga zakat adalah Zakat Community Development. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui serta menganalisis konsep pemberdayaan berupa Zakat Community Development pada masa pandemi di Desa Kahayya, Kabupaten Bulukumba. Metode pada penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan menemukan informasi secara detail terkait program Zakat Community Development di Desa Kahayya, Kabupaten Bulukumba. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa telah dilaksanakan beberapa program yang meliputi berbagai aspek seperti sosial ekonomi, kesehatan, pendidikan maupun keagamaan. Pada bidang kesehatan dilakukan penyemprotan desinfektan, program vaksinasi, penyediaan tempat cuci tangan, pembagian masker dan hand sanitizer hingga sosialisasi terkait pencegahan penyebaran virus covid-19 kepada masyarakat. Demikian pula pada dunia pendidikan, melalui ZCD dilakukan pengaktifan kembali taman baca serta pengembangan perpustakaan berbasis TIK. Sosialisasi di Pondok Tahfidz sebagai langkah pencegahan penularan dan hidup sehat merupakan bagian dari pemberdayaan keagamaan agar santri tetap dapat belajar agama. Terkhusus pada aspek ekonomi yang terbentuk beberapa komunitas UKM yaitu kelompok tani yang mengembangkan AGROWISATA dan holtikultura, UKM Kopi Kahayya serta kelompok UKM Madu Mustika Kahayya.

At the beginning of 2020, the world was shocked by the emergence of a new disease outbreak, Covid-19, which was caused by the SARS COV-2 virus. The school environment is one of the places that is vulnerable to the spread of this virus. An effective preventive measure against the spread of Covid-19 is the application of clean and healthy living habits (PHBS) in the school environment, one of which is the habit of washing hands. However, not all residents in the school understand how to wash their hands properly. The purpose of this service activity is to provide education about proper hands washing according to WHO for MI Muhammadiyah Need in Magelang Regency. The material needed for the implementation of the activity is a hand sanitizer liquid made from 70% active alcohol as a hand disinfectant. Implementation of community service activities using demonstration methods and hands-on practice of hands washing according to WHO. Based on this service activity, not all members of the MI Muhammadiyah Need was known the steps for hands washing properly according to WHO. Through this service, school residents are given knowledge and practice the 8 steps of hand washing according to WHO using a handsanitizer. ABSTRAKPandemi Covid-19 yang terjadi saat ini beberapa waktu yang lalu menyebabkan kelangkaan hand sanitizer dipasaran, hal ini membuat resah sebagian masyarakat. Pembuatan hand sanitizer yang dibuat dengan komposisi yang kurang tepat maka efektivitas hand sanitizer dalam membunuh bakteri dan virus tentunya akan berkurang. Pemanfaatan bahan alam sebagai bahan alternatif dalam pembuatan hand sanitizer. Diketahui  beberapa tanaman yang memiliki kemampuan daya hambat terhadap bakteri yang bisa digunakan sebagai zat aktif maupun zat tambahan di dalam produksi hand sanitizer salah satunya adalah lidah buaya. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah menghasilkan suatu produk kesehatan yang dapat dimanfaatkan baik untuk diri sendiri, keluarga dan masyarakat sekitar dalam rangka untuk mencegah penyebaran virus Covid-19. Metode yang digunakan dengan memberi penjelasan kegunaan dan keunggulan sediaan hand sanitizer yang terbuat dari bahan alami yaitu lidah buaya (Aloe vera) melalui video dan pamflet. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dinilai dapat memberikan dampak positif kepada masyarakat Desa tambakbaya, Kecamatan Cisurupan, Kabupaten Garut dilihat dari antusiasme masyarakat Desa dalam menerima pamflet dan video sebagai sumber informasi yang sangat bermanfaat bagi mereka dalam membuat hand sanitizer berbahan dasar alami (Aloe vera) sehingga bisa dirasakan manfaatnya. The purpose of this service activity is to produce a health product that can be used for both yourself, your family, and the surrounding community to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus. The method used is to explain the uses and advantages of hand sanitizer preparations made from natural ingredients, namely aloe vera (Aloe vera) through videos and pamphlets. The results of this community service activity are considered to have a positive impact on the people of Tambakbaya Village, Cisurupan District, Garut Regency, seen from the enthusiasm of the Village community in receiving pamphlets and videos as a source of information that is very useful for them in making hand sanitizers made from natural ingredients (Aloe vera) so that the benefits can be felt. Background: Covid 19 is nowadays becoming a global problem. This disease caused by the infection of SARS-Cov-2 and can spread out from human to human by saliva splash. The prevention behavior of this disease are by washing hands with soap on running water for twenty seconds, applying hands with hand sanitizer, wearing mask, preventing crowd, and keeping distance for 1-2 meters. Those efforts, however, are still rarely done by the people. Aims: This research aims to know the covid-19 prevention behavior of people in Banyumas. Method: This research is an observational descriptive research which uses cross-sectional approach. The samples of this research are 450 people, and the data were collected by online questionnaire. Results: the behavior of washing hands using soap on running water for 20 seconds (50.4%), applying hand sanitizer (50.4%), wearing mask in shop, mall, restaurant and other public facilities such as worship places (76.4%), doing activity among the crowd and keeping distance for 1-2 meters (60.2%). Conclusion: There is a need for health education related to Covid-19 prevention to improve behaviour to prevent the transmission of Covid-19, since the respondent proportion in doing prevention is about 90% from entire samples.
