The fundamental aim of the study is to indicate how Polish universities of technology cooperate with enterprises belonging to the small and medium-sized enterprise sector. The study was conducted from the perspective of polytechnic schools. Given the goal indicated in this way, the key activities included obtaining an answer to the question regarding the scope, conditions, and quality of cooperation between small and medium-sized enterprises and technical universities. In-depth literature studies in the indicated research problem, own observations as well as conducting empirical research contributed to the formulation of detailed questions, the solution of which determined the answer to the main problem, which is to indicate how Polish technical universities cooperate with small and medium-sized enterprises on the example of Polish technical universities. The conducted research allowed to obtain an answer to the question concerning the motivating and limiting factors, including the cooperation of technical universities with small and medium-sized enterprises. This publication, constituting an empirical cognitive foundation, can be a starting point for further considerations on the increase in the importance and role of cooperation, as well as a better understanding of new challenges in the development of the modern economy. The paper focuses on showing the phenomenon of cooperation, systematizing this phenomenon in the theory of management, and also on presenting the results of own research along with the methods of its implementation. This paper is important to better understand the importance of collaboration between science and business and create new opportunities to develop areas of collaboration.

Recently, a non-equilibrium thermodynamic approach has been developed in order to model the fundamental role of the membrane electric potential in the cell behaviour. A related new viewpoint is introduced, with a design of a photobiomodulation treatment in order to restore part of the visual field. Here, a first step in experimental evidence of the validity of the thermodynamic approach is developed. This result represents the starting point for future experimental improvements for light stimulation in order to improve the quality of life of the patients. The future possible therapy will be in addition to the pharmacological treatments.

The role of comprehensive cardiac rehabilitation (CCR) is well established in the secondary prevention of cardiovascular diseases such as coronary artery disease and heart failure. Many clinical trials demonstrated effectiveness of CCR in improving exercise capacity, quality of life, and in reducing cardiovascular mortality and morbidity. However, even before the era of the COVID-19 pandemic comprehensive cardiac rehabilitation program’s implementation, especially the second phase, had many barriers. One of the main reasons for not attending in second phase of CCR was lack of transportation from patient’s home to rehabilitation centers. Additionally, in recent months COVID-19 pandemic has led to closure of many cardiac rehabilitation centres resulting in many eligible patients unable to participate in the optimisation of secondary prevention. During the coronavirus disease-2019 pandemic, hybrid telerehabilitation has become the leading solution in the cardiac rehabilitation programs. The present paper contains key information about structures, effectives and safety of hybrid telerehabilitation during the COVID-19 era.

This article discusses about the practice of early marriage in Selo district of   Boyolali and Kaliangkrik district of Magelang. Based on empirical research, this article argues that many people practiced early marriage in these both districts. Family tradition and out of wedlock pregnancy were two main reasons behind the practice. Some efforts are being made to improve the quality of life of people in  Selo Boyolali and Kaliangkrik Magelang such as building family quality, promoting early marriage prevention, increasing the role of community education, marriage law counseling, training and improving community skills. The involvement of community leaders in these efforts is very influential. This is indicated by the  issuance of circular letters preventing early marriage. The result is the decrease of early marriage practice in Selo and Kaliangkrik   Artikel ini membahas tentang praktik pernikahan dini yang banyak terjadi di Kecamatan Selo Boyolali dan Kecamatan Kaliangkrik Magelang. Hasil penelitian empiris menunjukkan bahwa terdapat dua faktor penting yang menyebabkan terjadinya pernikahan dini di dua kecamatan tersebut, yaitu tradisi/kebiasaan turun temurun keluarga dan hamil di luar nikah. Untuk menurunkan angka pernikahan dini ini, beberapa usaha telah dilakukan oleh pemerintah setempat seperti membangun kualitas keluarga, pencegahan pernikahan dini, peningkatan kualitas pendidikan, bimbingan pernikahan, dan peningkatan ketrampilan. Dalam usaha ini, pemimpin lokal mempunyai peranan penting dalam mempengaruhi penurunan praktik pernikahan dini. Ini diindikasikan dengan dikeluarkannya surat edaran pelarangan nikah dini oleh KUA setempat. Surat edaran ini mampu  memenurunkan angka pernikahan dini yang ada di dua kecamatan tersebut .

Starting point of this paper is photopolymer printing plate used for flexographic printing. It is used for transfer of the printing ink onto the printing surface during the reproduction process. Photopolymer printing plate consists of several layers: polyester basis, photo sensitive polymer material and LAMS - Laser Ablation Mask. In the platemaking process the photosensitive material, which will form a printing plate, has to be several time exposed to different radiation in order to obtain a functional printability performance. LAMS layer has a role of masking in the exposure process. Upon pre-exposure, LAMS layer has to be removed by laser ablation only at the surfaces where photopolymer printing plate needs to be exposed. After ablation the exposures to UV lights follows and the plate will be finished with chemical removal of the unexposed parts of the polymer. Functionality of the finished printing plate has to be characterised and monitored in every procedure step because the formed image element on the printing plate has a major influence on the quality of the finished printed product. In this paper observing of the changes in the polymer material which is caused by exposure through LAMS layer will be performed. The aim is to measure the surface openings on the LAMS mask and to measure surface coverage (image elements) on the polymer material formed by exposure through the LAMS. Measuring will be made by image analysis software based on microscopic images of the control fields of differing halftone values. It is assumed that there will be a correlation between the LAMS openings and formed image elements on the printing plates. Preliminary results indicate that certain differences in image elements can be detected and are probably the consequence of the different amount of irradiated surface of the polymer material. Since the polymer material which forms the printing plate should be stable in the graphic reproduction process, results of the paper will explain the influence of UV exposures on polymerisation process and on the functional printability performance of the plates.

With the growing role of online multi-participant collaborations in shaping the academic, professional, and civic spheres, incorporating collaborative online practices in educational settings has become imperative. As more educators include such practices in their curricula, they are faced with new challenges. Assessment of collaborations, especially in larger groups, is particularly challenging. Assessing the quality of the collaborative “thought process” and its product is essential for both pedagogical and evaluative purposes. While traditional quantitative quality measures were designed for individual work or the aggregated work of individuals, capturing the complexity and the integrative nature of high-quality collaborative learning requires novel methodologies. Network analysis provides methods and tools that can identify, describe, and quantify non-linear and complex phenomena. This paper applies network analysis to the content created by students through large-scale online collaborative concept-mapping and explores how these can be applied for the assessment of the quality of a collective product. Quantitative network structure measures are introduced for this purpose. The application and the affordances of these metrics are demonstrated on data from six large-group online collaborative discussions from academic settings. The metrics presented here address the organization and the integration of the content and enable a comparison of collaborative discussions.

With the process of globalization and integration, more and more people tend to be bilingual. Undoubtedly, mastering a second language is significant. This thesis aims to explore how to conquer the difficulties in learning British English sounds through analyzing a British cartoon Peppa Pig.Chapter one begins with the research background, significance and purpose of research. The thesis takes the cartoon Peppa Pig as the starting point to demonstrate the role of distinctive features for Chinese learners to conquer negative transfer. The empirical research could be found in Chapter two, because of requiring to know the concrete circumstance of Chinese learners.Through the collection and analysis of data, we can know these problems which Chinese learners exist in the process of learning British English.Based on the comparison of Chinese and British English, Chapter three clarifies the difficulties in learning British English. As for Chinese learners, mastering distinctive features can promote learners to master British English sounds better than stress and rhythm. Chapter four states the role of the distinctive features in helping conquer Chinese negative transfer in the cartoon Peppa Pig. The final chapter is the conclusion of this thesis and involves a new study for Chinese learners to learn British English sounds under the distinctive features.

As a result of the growing number of migrants in Poland, schools accept increasing numbers of learners with a migrant background (immigrants and reimmigrants), and they are not always able to successfully help the newcomers in their integration. Therefore, it is necessary to undertake specific support activities. Related shortcomings result in many school failures among many migrants, their dropping out of schools and as a result gaining little if any qualifications. At the same time, the researchers indicated the role of teachers in the education of children with a migrant background. The level of their training and the quality of the support they can offer determines the success or lack thereof of their pupils. In the article the researchers discussed a study (Stage 2 in particular) the purpose of which was to diagnose and analyse the needs of the education community in terms of migrant education and integration. The following question was the starting point: What do schools need to be able to better teach and integrate learners with a migrant background? The study of needs organised as a focus group gathered teachers teaching pupils with a migrant background with various levels of training, and a headmaster of a school attended by migrants. The analysis of the collected material indicated three areas where teachers need particular support: systemic organisation of accepting and educating learners with a migrant background, access to materials, and the ability to participate in additional training courses and acquire new competences.

Corruption is a global phenomenon driving towards the non-productive activities, and its result becomes more risky if corruption is widespread. Corruption in high education institutions has detrimental consequences on the quality of education, the student’s ethics, the future opportunities for students, and the quality of future leadership. This paper aims to explore the role of universities in the spread of invisible corruption at the Iraqi high education sector. The main research problem is an attempt to explore the role of students, academic and other staff in the spread of invisible corruption at the Iraqi high education sector, and what best solution are used to limit its effects. This study pursues both deductive and inductive approach and uses the analysis which is supported by both theoretical evidence and statistical techniques. The study was conducted at the University of Basra and the Southern Technical University, where, the sample included professors with experience and specialization in the field of teaching and analyzing corruption in high education. The results showed limited visible corruption in the Iraqi education sector, while Invisible corruption was the most common in the Iraqi high education sector, because of the difficulty of discovering its practices. The spread of this type of corruption was due to the common interests between students and academic and administrative bodies. This requires Popularizing the culture of integrity and exposing corruption and its dangers in the external and internal community levels of Iraq's high education sector.

This chapter focuses on teachers' professional development, on the task design and on experimental work, as well as on the role of the teachers' mediation in the quality of student learning. The research problem was how the teacher can promote self-directed professional development, namely, improving the quality of teaching practices to influence the quality of students' learning, in their engagement in experimental tasks and epistemic practices. A longitudinal research methodology was followed during 10 years, based on a qualitative case study, from a curricular approach in secondary education. The analysis of data collection on teaching practices and students' learning over time and the teachers' professional pathways allow to formulate the following conclusions: (1) new traits of teaching practices were identified that promote students' productive engagement; (2) changes to the task design were enough to trigger differences in teachers' mediation, with consequences for students' epistemic practices and their productive engagement.

In modern socio-cultural conditions, there is a request for professional growth of the teacher. It is confirmed by the decree of the President of the Russian Federation (5) and teachers (1). The problem is to increase the number and level of complexity of the requirements for teachers and the lack of theoretical and practical information base for both working and future teachers. The purpose of the study: to develop a Handbook designed to help in the possible implementation of the request for professional growth of the teacher, the formation of the teacher-leader. Research problem: 1) to study the features of teachers ' perception of the phenomenon of leadership and understanding the role of a leader for a teacher within his profession. 2) to analyze the difficulties in the pedagogical sphere, relevant at the moment. 3) the opinions of teachers about the specifics of their profession are revealed. The topic of the phenomenon of leadership in the pedagogical sphere and improving the quality of education was considered in the works of M. Barber, M. Murshed [2], I.B. Bicheva, O.M. Filatova [3], S.S. Lutkin [4], I.L. Feldman [6], S.N. Yaroshenko [7].
