Purpose This study aims to explore how small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Indonesia display resilience in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. Design/methodology/approach A qualitative research design was used, which involved semi-structured interviews on five creative industry-based businesses in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. A narrative inquiry approach was used to obtain an in-depth understanding of SMEs’ resilience. The data obtained were analyzed using thematic analysis via MaxQDA 2020. Findings The Covid-19 pandemic triggered the emergence of both new opportunities and new constraints for SMEs. These, in turn, significantly interrupt their business model. SMEs are found to navigate survival, continuity and growth by drawing from their resourcefulness and firm-level strategies to cope with the new opportunities and constraints. Research limitations/implications This study was conducted qualitatively based on five SMEs in the creative industry in Indonesia. This limits the ability to compare the findings across different economic sectors. Practical implications SMEs facing emergent constraints may need to find new ways to recombine existing resources and simultaneously seek to innovate their business model. Business owners and entrepreneurs should adopt a positive mindset such as optimism, perseverance and efficacy, to cope with adversity. Growth-oriented SMEs may make use of a competitive mindset such as flexibility, speed and innovation, to spot and exploit opportunities that emerge from the crisis. Social implications SMEs’ resilience should be understood not only in terms of economic survival and continuity but, more deeply, about their social contribution to the localities where they operate. Originality/value This study illustrates the process of how adaptive resilience is adapted and executed by SMEs. It also contributes to entrepreneurial resilience and resourcefulness literature by explaining how entrepreneurs anticipate, respond to and leverage from the crisis.

This research was conducted at the Cibaduyut XYZ shoe industry center, a company engaged in the SME sector of the leather shoes and sandals. Based on preliminary survey,  company XYZ is an industry of making shoes and leather sandals with active work competence and includes a creative industry that promoted by the government. The purpose of this study is to increase work motivation on work productivity, knowledge management on work productivity and simultaneous work motivation and knowledge management on work productivity. Used Verivication methodThe results showed that work motivation was positive and significant to work productivity by 14.9%, while management knowledge affected positively and significantly to work productivity by 5.3%. While work motivation and knowledge management are positive and significant at 16.81%.Based on results,  entrepreneurs need to provide stimulus to improve productivity with rewards and penalties, such as giving bonuses to companies that reach their targets and other rewards. to continue improving the sustainability of entrepreneurs it is necessary to increase the sustainability of knowledge and experience especially models of shoes and sandals. The next researcher needs to report other variables such as human capital, ROTI (return on investment in training) and other relevant themes

Kissing gouramy (Helostoma temminckii) is a favored fish for consumption in Sumatra and Kalimantan area. Currently, information related to phenotypic variation and genotypes of the original broodstocks of kissing gouramy is limited to develop the fish’s culture technology through a domestication program. Therefore, the study was conducted to determine the characteristics of phenotype, and genotype of original kissing gouramy broodstocks. The research was conducted at the Institute for Freshwater Aquaculture Research and Development, Bogor. Data collection was carried out by measuring the body length using truss morphometric method and DNA analysis using the RAPD method. The results showed that the highest polymorphism (81.25%) and heterozygosity (0.3544) were found in the Central Kalimantan fish population. The highest genetic distance between Jambi and Central Kalimantan populations was 0.1452, while the lowest genetic distance was 0.1044 between Jambi and West Java population. Based on the trust morphometric measurement, it was identified 13 different characters on A1, A2, A4, A5, B3, C1, C3, C4, C5, D3, D4, D5, and D6. The Jambi and West Java populations are genetically close to each other while the Central Kalimantan population is relatively separated from the two.

Podostroma cf. cornu-damae in Indonesia was first reported by Boedijn in 1934 in Buitenzorg (Bogor), West Java. Since then, there have been no report of this macrofungi in Indonesia. In 2020, somel local people ( the members of the Indonesian mushroom hunter community) shared the information about the occurence of this mushroom at the forests of Tamiang Layang (Central Kalimantan) and Sukabumi (West Java). Morphological identification based on macroscopic characteristics confirmed the identity of the macrofungi as Podostroma cf. cornu-damae and Podostroma sp. The brief descriptions is also provided in this paper. Observation using microscopic characters or molecular approach is needed to be done to ensure the taxonomical position of the mushroom in the future research. This information add the inventory data on mushroom diversity in Indonesia. Keywords: Inventory, Macrofungi, Indonesia, Podostroma cf. cornu-damae

Indonesia known as center of Senyulong Crocodile (Tomistoma schlegelii) habitat in Southeast Asia, beside Sarawak and Peninsula Malaysia, Thailand and Brunei Darussalam. In the country, the crocodile can be found in East Sumatra, Kalimantan, and West Java. This research aims to determine the population and structure of Senyulong Crocodile (Tomistoma schlegelii) in Tanjung Puting National Park in West Kotawaringin District, Central Kalimantan. As the results, as many as 56 individuals of Senyulong Crocodile were found in the Camp Leakey Area (Sekonyer Kanan River) to Muara (Muara Ali) within the park, including 8 adult individuals, 15 individual children, and 33 individual infants. Opportunities for the appearance of one individual in the census (p) are 0,58 with a standard deviation (S) of 3.90. Population density (N) estimated about 16.09 individuals. The average observed individual from each observation (x?) was 9.33 individuals.
