Interactive learning technology is an emerging innovation for future communication-aided teaching and learning that could positively enhance students’ engagement and intrinsic motivation. Due to the virtue of interactive communication, classrooms are now anticipated to enable a variety of interaction-based learning technologies with diverse infotainment (a subset of “serious play”) integrated with practical enquiry-based projects and case studies for employability improvement. In this paper, a comprehensive review of various teaching and learning pedagogies is assessed. Their suitability and association with infotainment and interactive technology is discussed and highlighted. In addition, a recent research activity on interactive communication is presented to form a new teaching application using interactive technology and infotainment (or edutainment) appropriate for student engagement in railway geometry and alignment design classes. The development of the integrated interactive technology and infotainment was implemented and evaluated in a postgraduate railway engineering class. Questionnaires were used to survey students’ experiences in the classes with and without the technology enhanced learning. The outcome clearly shows that students enjoyed and felt they were significantly engaged in the class with the new interactive resources. Their participation and learning performance increased. Despite the favourable outcomes, the flexibility and viability of using this interactive technology still largely depends on the students’ background and their previous experience.

An important aspect that requires great attention in each college is related to the lack of educational facilities and the low interest in student learning which risks the education process. Therefore the purpose of this study is to develop an interactive learning technology so that the lecturers are more creative in providing explanations of lecture material not to go monotonous and exciting. This research method is divided into four stages from ten stages of research and development to solve research problems. The final conclusion of this study is use interactive learning technology, especially SmartBoard, is easy to implement with low cost so that lectures and students can explore information more effectively and efficiently.

The purpose of the work is to optimize the principles and methods of organizing independent work on the basis of interactive learning technologies (design method) in the context of planning the educational process of interns in the specialty “Surgery”, clinical residents, postgraduates and students (optional) in the cycles of thematic improvement within the program Cycles of the Chair of Surgery and Vascular Surgery of Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education. The use of traditional educational and pedagogical means, technologies and methods does not ensure the intensive development of all areas of activity at the postgraduate level. Overcoming these contradictions is possible provided that new modern and innovative approaches to the formation of knowledge and skills are taken into account, taking into account the existing possibilities of information and communication technologies. Solving the problem is possible through the use of interactive learning methods — the method of projects. The introduction of interactive methods in the educational process at all levels of postgraduate training is aimed at the systematic formation of knowledge of specialists who can solve problems in various areas of practical professional activities.

The article focuses on the theoretical and methodological aspects of the use of interactive learning and its advantages over traditional learning. The use of interactive learning in both secondary and higher education is analyzed. The research goal is to theoretically substantiate and highlight the introduction of methods of the model of training future Ukrainian language and literature teachers by means of interactive learning technologies, as well as to determine the factors of their choice. The main research methods used were analysis, generalization and modeling, observation, synthesis, systematization. The results of the conducted research allowed the author to reveal the qualities that a future teacher of Ukrainian language and literature should possess; to describe some pedagogical problems of training the future teachers of Ukrainian language and literature by means of interactive learning technologies. The benefit of this study is the defined content of interactive learning, which is believed to be a specially organized comfortable mutual learning of participants of the educational process as equal its subjects, which provides for their continuous active interaction, during which each of the students realizes and reflects all its knowledge and actions, feels successful and intellectually capable. The author identified such interactive learning methods of the model of training future teachers of Ukrainian language and literature in higher education institutions as: trainings, educational discussions; game technologies; interactive lectures: problem lectures, lecture-visualization, binary lecture, lecture-press conference, round table, cases, brainstorming. Moreover, the most used interactive learning methods of training future teachers of Ukrainian language and literature in universities are given and theoretically grounded; they are training, discussion, role playimg, method of «Spoiled phone», method of «remote project work Minecraft», «Сourt hearing», «Augmented reality», use of presentations. The author highlights their introduction into the work of the National Pedagogical Dragomanov University, states the positive aspects of interactive learning compared to classical one, determines seven factors for the choice of methods. As a result the author makes a conclusion that the use of interactive technologies not only contributes to the creation of an atmosphere of cooperation and mutual understanding in the educational institution, but also implements the basic principles of personality-oriented learning.

Recent advances in semantic web and deep learning technologies enable new means for the computational analysis of vast amounts of information from the field of digital humanities. We discuss how some of the techniques can be used to identify historical and cultural symmetries between different characters, locations, events or venues, and how these can be harnessed to develop new strategies to promote intercultural and cross-border aspects that support the teaching and learning of history and heritage. The strategies have been put to the test in the context of the European project CrossCult, revealing enormous potential to encourage curiosity to discover new information and increase retention of learned information.

The analysis of the available methods and models of formation of recommendations for the potential buyer in network information systems for the purpose of development of effective modules of selection of advertising is executed. The effectiveness of the use of machine learning technologies for the analysis of user preferences based on the processing of data on purchases made by users with a similar profile is substantiated. A model of recommendation formation based on machine learning technology is proposed, its work on test data sets is tested and the adequacy of the RMSE model is assessed. Keywords: behavior prediction; advertising based on similarity; collaborative filtering; matrix factorization; big data; machine learning
