Zakat becomes part of the obligations of Muslims who must be paid and given to those who are entitled to receive zakat. The distribution of zakat which is intended for the recipient and the amount of zakat is often not recorded accurately. There is a discrepancy between the amount of zakat and the number of recipients of zakat. Then a new breakthrough is needed through the implementation of toral quality management and the application of good governance so that it is expected that all incoming zakat and the number of recipients of zakat can be recorded. This study aims to examine the effect of the implementation of total quality management and the role of good governance on muzakki trust (a study at the Amil Zakat Institute in Batam City). The population in this study is the number of residents of the city of Batam in 2017 amounted to 1,062,250 inhabitants. Determination of the sample using the formula Hair, et al (2010) so that the total sample is 100 respondents. Data analysis using multiple linear regression with SPSS 23. The results of the study can be concluded that the implementation of total quality management has a significant positive effect on muzakki trust, the application of good governance has a significant negative effect on muzakki trust and the implementation of total quality management and the application of good governance simultaneously has a significant positive effect on muzakki trust.

The main objective of this study was to examine the effect of total quality management system (TQM) on organisation performance along with the mediating effect of organisation learning in Nepali Service sector. The relationship between the TQM system, organisation learning and organisation performance was examined using Pearson correlation coefficient and regression analysis was conducted to test the hypotheses. Data was collected from 240 respondents (i.e., 118 from the ISO certified and 122 from non-ISO certified organisations). The findings of this study suggested that total quality management system had a significant positive effect on organisation performance and organisation learning mediated the relationship between total quality management system and organisation performance. Out of the seven dimensions of the TQM system only top management support, workforce management, customer relations, supplier quality management and process flow management had a significant positive effect on organisation performance. The results of the independent sample t-test further confirmed the high level of organisation performance in ISO certified organisations.

This research was conducted at Kober Mie Setan. The number of samples taken as many as 150 people Kober Mie customer. Data collection done through questionnaires. Based on the results of the analysis it wasfound that the variable focus on customers, obsession with quality, teamwork and continuous improvement simultaneously had significant effect on customer satisfaction. The results of testing the partial test hypothesis revealed that each variable focused on the customer, obsession with quality, teamwork and continuous improvement had a significant positive effect  customer satisfaction. From the results of the partial test it is known that the focus variable on the customer is the most dominant variable affecting customer satisfaction. The coefficient determination of 0.731 shows that 73.1 percent variations in customer satisfaction can be explained by four independent variables used  the regression equation, while the sisas are 26.9 percent explained other variables outside the four variables used  this study. The aim of this study is to determine the role of total quality management (TQM) in controlling occupational health and safety operations which is highly significant to enterprises. Data has been obtained by survey technique which is one of the initial collection techniques. A questionnaire with 34 questions used by Güngör (2008) earlier has been conducted. Data has been attained from the employees’ answers to the questions of the survey who work at two different machine-manufacturing enterprises. Enterprises have been chosen intentionally from those that one of them applies TQM and the other doesn’t. Data was analyzed by SPSS-20 software. At the end of the research, it has been revealed that the enterprise which implements TQM, has more regulations about occupational safety than the other enterprise which doesn’t implement TQM. In conclusion, it has been detected that the TQM applications have a positive effect on occupational safety regulations.

The primary purpose of this study is to investigate the role of Total Quality Management (TQM) on business performance in various dimensions. This study proposes a conceptual model that intends to study several research hypotheses. The data were obtained through an online questionnaire, sent to pharmaceutical companies manufactured generic products in Indonesia. The study was conducted based on responses received from 168 valid questionnaires, and it was used partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) to test the hypotheses. Furthermore, we use both of reflective and formative construct with second order/higher order construct in our model of study which is rarely found in the previous study. This research analyzed the dimensions studied in different aspects. TQM variable consists of seven practice, namely management commitment, supplier quality, employee involvement, leadership management, customer orientation, continuous improvement and quality management system, and with respect to business performance, this variable was analyzed through four different perspectives, namely, financial, customer, internal business process and learning & growth. The findings indicate that companies adopt total quality management get improvement in their business performance. Leadership management has greater effect on the successful of TQM practice compared to other TQM dimensions. This study also provides a particular contribution for the companies and expect to be used as feedback related to the execution of their TQM implementation to improve their business performance. Total quality management is a management perception which has to increase quality and productivity in managements of all opportunities mobilised systematically to provide client satisfaction. To reach success in total quality management (TQM) perception depends on various reasons so satisfying the employees' request and expectations is quite essential for this success.  For this reason, providing increase of the employees' economic income in management gain parallel, increasing their motivation, presenting career opportunities to prove themselves, taking performance increase precautions and using awarding systems are necessary factors for TQM success.  The effect of total quality management which is practised in the sectors such as textile sector especially which requires employees' personal skills was researched on the basic factors which affects employees' performance.  The research was done by face to face technique with 275 staff working in textile managements in Bursa province.  In the conclusion of correlation and regression analysis, it was determined that total quality management has a positive effect on the employees' economic gain and motivation.


Tertiary education faces a new era as expectations for good quality education are increasing. Globalization and knowledge Society formed new conditions on the global economic and geopolitical scene, and led higher education ahead to new challenges which require a redefinition of its role. These challenges have created new opportunities, new collaborations and new ways of managing Higher Education Institutions. In response to the demand for higher quality products and services, a growing number of Higher Education Institutions worldwide are implementing Total Quality Management (TQM) and the Deming Management Method. The first chapter is designed to provide the reader an overview of the role of Higher Education Institutions and the implications of globalization and knowledge society on tertiary education. Furthermore, this chapter deals with the strategic challenges of Higher Education Institutions and their strategic response to those challenges, focused on Deming and Total Quality Management.
