Currently a low cost security system is needed and easy to apply especially at educational institutions that willimplement smart school and industry 4.0. Needed devices are raspberry pi and web camera. Raspberry pi willonly save moving images taken from the web camera. Because by storing an image whose file size is not toolarge will ease the performance of the server. In this study, a design for the raspberry pi based motion detectionsystem will be applied at SMK PGRI Sukodadi Lamongan Regency which has not have security system. Thissystem will save the file in the form of an image that will be put together into a moving image that looks like avideo that will displayed in a LED monitor. Keywords: smart school, motion detection, moving image.

Computer and information technology from time to time are always experiencing developments, both in terms of hardware, software and the internet being one of the most important things atthis time. The increasing number of applications of computer technology will make the role of computers increasingly important to be more advanced (modernization). The security system isstill not effective and efficient enough, so that a control using a website is needed to help the security control process at the gate. This system is not only used in offices, but can be used inhome security, etc. So we need a security system, where the security control system uses a tool to monitor realtime security via a web browser, namely a webcam (Web Camera). A web-basedgate control system can be designed using the Raspberry Pi B +. From the explanation mentioned above, the researcher made a gate control device that was given to the Microcontroller using a Web Browser in order to open and close the gate. So it is hoped that this security system application can provide a sense of comfort, in addition, of course, with this system application it can reduce the number of crimes that occur both crimes and other crimes.

Computer vision systems are an essential part in industrial automation tasks such as: identification, selection, measurement, defect detection and quality control in parts and components. There are smart cameras used to perform tasks, however, their high acquisition and maintenance cost is restrictive. In this work, a novel low-cost artificial vision system is proposed for classifying objects in real time, using the Raspberry Pi 3B + embedded system, a Web camera and the Open CV artificial vision library. The suggested technique comprises the training of a supervised classification system of the Haar Cascade type, with image banks of the object to be recognized, subsequently generating a predictive model which is put to the test with real-time detection, as well as the calculation for the prediction error. This seeks to build a powerful vision system, affordable and also developed using free software.

This paper deals with development of a Vehicle Security and Entertainment System, which is being used to monitor, track the vehicle, and to offer local entertainment system. The development system makes used of two embedded devices to split the entertainment system from the security system to ensure isolation and security. The security system is equipped with camera, distress signal switch and GPS/GPRS module to track, report a problem, and monitor the vehicle by sending data to a centralized database server where vehicle owner can access and retrieve these data to guarantee the safety of the passengers and the vehicle too. The second system is the entertainment system, where this system uses a powerful Intel atom embedded device and local network to allow users to connect and offer entertaining services. These services include, E-Book library and multimedia streaming. The main concept of research to develop a low cost system to secure and entertain passengers on vehicles like buses, train and even cars. The development is cost effective and as well as can be modified to add extra modules or to develop extra entertainment services. If the vehicle is stolen the system is able to send a distress signal to the owner or company. They can help the passengers by monitoring through the vehicle camera. In this research we have successfully developed and tested the system.

ABSTRACTOpen-source lab equipment is becoming more widespread with the popularization of fabrication tools such as 3d-printers, laser cutters, CNC machines, open source microcontrollers and open source software. Although many pieces of common laboratory equipment have been developed, software control of these items is sometimes lacking. Specifically, control software that can be easily implemented and enable user-input and control over multiple platforms (PC, smartphone, web, etc.). The aim of this proof-of-principle study was to develop and implement software for the control of a low-cost, 3d-printed microscope. Here, we present two approaches, which enable microscope control by exploiting the functionality of the social media platform Twitter or player actions inside of the videogame Minecraft. The microscope was constructed from a modified web-camera and implemented on a Raspberry Pi computer. Four aspects of microscope control were tested, including single image capture, focus control and time-lapse imaging. The Twitter-embodiment enabled users to send “tweets” directly to the microscope. Image data acquired by the microscope was then returned to the user through a Twitter reply and stored permanently on the photo-sharing platform Flickr, along with any relevant metadata. Local control of the microscope was also implemented by utilizing the video game Minecraft, in situations where Internet connectivity is not present or stable. A virtual laboratory was constructed inside the Minecraft world and player actions inside the laboratory were linked to specific microscope functions. Here, we present the methodology and results of these experiments and discuss possible limitations and future extensions of this work.

The main purposes of this paper are to offer a low-cost solution that can be used in engineering education and to address the challenges that Industry 4.0 brings with it. In recent years, there has been a great shortage of engineering experts, and therefore it is necessary to educate the next generation of experts, but the hardware and software tools needed for education are often expensive and access to them is sometimes difficult, but most importantly, they change and evolve rapidly. Therefore, the use of cheaper hardware and free software helps to create a reliable and suitable environment for the education of engineering experts. Based on the overview of related works dealing with low-cost teaching solutions, we present in this paper our own low-cost Education Kit, for which the price can be as low as approximately EUR 108 per kit, for teaching the basic skills of deep learning in quality-control tasks in inspection lines. The solution is based on Arduino, TensorFlow and Keras, a smartphone camera, and is assembled using LEGO kit. The results of the work serve as inspiration for educators and educational institutions.

In this new-fangedworld crime has become an important issue to be resolved. Some of the real time incidents as of today are thefts at home, trespassers and so on. Though people have no time to look up on these things as they are held up in their daily life, they always want to ensure their safety of their beloved ones and beloved things. Sometimes they forget to look after their necessary things like keys, wallet, credit cards etc. Without these, they are unable to access their home or any place they want. Smart locker security control system has become indispensable in daily life. This paper explains about the design and development of a security system, using remotely monitoring technology and human face recognition technology, to confirm the identity of the visitor and to control door accessibility using Internet of Things (raspberry pi) and also the implementation and deployment of wireless control system and accessibility to a home environment for only authenticated people. This paper also explain simple IOT based low cost security Locker security system for domestic and office lockers.

Smartphone has become a daily necessity in supporting the mobility of users, including teachers and students. The need of users to make multi-presentation via a smartphone wirelessly does not fit with the cost and multiplatform support. This study aims to produce a solution by using Raspberry Pi as a wireless digital media player that will be applied to educational institutions to make multi-presentation wirelessly at efficient cost. The results obtained from this study is a wireless digital media player application that is installed in Raspberry Pi, a credit-card size single board computer, and an Android application whose features of sending image, presentation, splitting screen, and able to give control and access grant. The conclusion is an application can augment user mobility within the presentation in teaching and learning effectively.
