The purpose of this article is to examine the importance of involvement teachers in the school orientation process and its effectiveness in the way high school students choose their educational path. Interviews and a survey were conducted with 74 teachers of different seniority selected from five public high schools in three regional directorates, in the 2018/2019 academic year, Casablanca-Settat region. This study shows from a deep analysis, that the coordination and cooperation with teachers and students in the process of school orientation were very low or null. In this study, scientific research and my experience have shown that the attainment of the desired objectives of high school students' educational guidance can only be achieved through coordination and cooperation between the various actors in the school guidance process. Teacher’s role is very essential since they are the closest to the student and the process of the student's educational orientation must be one of his main and fundamental tasks. It is concluded that public schools with the integration of teachers in the student's educational guidance have more success in the school path, as the participation of teachers in the guidance of their students, improves the process and increases its effectiveness. Our study has allowed us to detect very important results and information on the teacher’s role who must be an advisor in his school and must be a requirement of the process of academic guidance of high school students that we will present and discuss.

This study aimed to identify the extent to which teachers practice their role in developing values of civilization among high school students in Buraydah city form the teachers' perspective. To achieve this objective, the study followed the descriptive method. A questionnaire, consisting of 35 items and distributed over 3 dimensions, was designed to collect relevant data. The questionnaire was administered to a random sample of 300 teachers, who represented 30% of the whole population. Major findings revealed that the degree of practicing the role of developing civilization values by teachers was high at a mean of (3.96). Further, there were no statistically significant differences attributed to the study level. However, statistically significant differences were found at (α≥ 0.05) in the participants' responses regarding their assessment of the teacher's role in developing civilization values attributed to major in favor of education major.  Finally, there were no statistically significant differences with regard to the variables of years of experience and training courses.

Education is an important indicator for people to get a better life in this globalization era like today. Important motivation in education is achievement motivation. Achievement motivation is a personal desire for achieving a standard of excellence. It is important that cooperation in the family, parenting and in education environmental or school is teacher’s role, in student achievement motivation. Parenting is how parents treat their children, guiding, and protecting children until they can socialize in society. Teachers are one of the supporters of the educational process. The purpose of this research is to see a significant relationship between parenting style and the teacher's role with achievement motivation. The subjects of this research are high school students grade 2, IPA or IPS. The result is, between achievement motivation and the teacher’s role has a positive and significant correlation with r = 0.409 and p = 0.000<0.05. Significant of positive relationship between parenting style and achievement motivation with the value of Chi-Square = 250.594 and p = 0.000 <0.05. It can be concluded that there is a relationship between parenting and the role of teachers in achieving motivation in high school students.

The purpose of this study is to explore the influence of introduction of the physical computing strategy of Arduino Boards in a program design course on coding literacy and the effectiveness of the application in technical high school students. This study selected two classes of twelfth-grade students enrolled in a program design course at a technical high school in Southern Taiwan as the samples. One class was the control group (43 students), and the other was the experimental group (42 students). During the 18-week course, the control group carried out a DBL (design-based learning) programming project, and the experimental group carried out the DBL programming project using the physical computing strategy of Arduino boards. Pre- and posttests and a questionnaire survey were carried out, while ANCOVA (analysis of covariance) was used for evaluation purposes. In the course, students in the experimental group were randomly selected for semi-structured interviews to understand their learning status and to perform qualitative analysis and summarization. This study proposed the physical computing strategy of Arduino boards, featuring staged teaching content, practical teaching activities, and real themes and problem-solving tasks. The results show that the coding literacy of students in the different teaching strategy groups was significantly improved. However, in the Arduino course on DBL programming, the students in the experimental group had a significantly higher learning efficiency in coding literacy than those in the control group. Moreover, according to the qualitative analysis using student interviews, Arduino boards were found to improve students’ motivation to learn coding and to aid in systematically guiding students toward improving their coding literacy by combining their learning with DBL theory. Thus, Arduino technology can be effectively used to improve students’ programming abilities and their operational thinking in practically applying programming theories.

While national surveillance studies have stratified high school students’ health behavior outcomes, few ecological data sets have been explored, collected, and analyzed on the unique health problems of minority children. An area for which limited data on minority youth has been collected is Franklin County, home of the state capital of Kentucky. In the current study, we use baseline data collected in 2015 from students attending two high schools that were sites for Kentucky State University’s Youth Empowerment Project. We hypothesize that youth who reside in Franklin County would report lower maladjusted behaviors than their national and statewide counterparts in the same year of observation. Data analyses confirm that compared to their national- and state-level counterparts, Franklin County high school students were less likely to report riding with a driver who had been drinking alcohol, engaging in sexual intercourse, drinking alcohol before sexual intercourse, and experiencing non-condom use when engaged in sexual intercourse, forced sexual intercourse, dating violence, cyber bullying, suicidal ideation, and drug use. These findings suggest that Franklin County high school students may be exposed to environmental variables that may be preventive to maladjusted behaviors.
