The outbreak of COVID-19 in 2020 put the major issue of life education on the agenda again. For young students, life education can not only help them have an objective, comprehensive and dialectical understanding of life, but also help to improve the quality of their whole life. Colleges and universities should carry out life education courses for students from the perspective of gratitude for life, awe of life, confronting death and achieving life. In addition, colleges and universities should also explore the establishment of a normalized Long-term mechanism to enrich the realization channels of life education, and adhere to the education mode combining school guidance with extracurricular practice.

The objective of this study is to examine the French-speaking sub-system of general education in Cameroon, with the aim of proposing a Cameroonian academic system now equipped with an orientation pedagogy capable of valuing the different local potentials that can suddenly accelerate the emergence of the country. To carry out this study, numerous investigations were made in the field. The plentiful results obtained have been carefully analyzed. The orientation of learners in Cameroon is not done on the basis of their real potential, but rather on the basis of foreign languages; these are German, Spanish, and Chinese. At different levels, we see an overload of learners with subjects which, instead of reinforcing them in what they would like to do in life, rather demotivate them. Learners finish their respective courses with a full head, without any skills. The informal sector is the only environment where they can earn on a daily basis. The practice of trades in this sector is responsible of many urban disorders observed today in the cities of the country. This urban disorder is almost always the precursor of many accidents, sometimes resulting in the death of men. For young people who did not have the courage to engage themselves in informal sector activities, crime, drug abuse, violence, homosexuality, the search of "sugar mummy and daddy", " gigolo habit ”, illegal immigration, prostitution, to name but a few, are the main routes out. The following path is proposed for the new orientation vision in Cameroon: Observation sub-cycle (first and second year), Orientation sub-cycle (third and fourth year artistic, third and fourth year literary, third and fourth year science), Specialization cycle (fifth year artistic, fifth year literary, fifth year science, sixth and seventh year artistic, sixth and seventh year literary, Sixth year applied sciences, sixth year fundamental sciences, seventh year applied science, seventh year fundamental sciences). The new vision of managing the French-speaking sub-system of general education in Cameroon highlights a new reality; in fact, from the orientation sub-cycle, the teaching units will be preparing the corresponding trades. Cameroon has many assets to succeed in this process.

The purpose of the study was to investigate the challenges found in the implementation of school guidance services in Ghana. The study was underpinned by pragmatic paradigm where concurrent triangulation mixed method design was used for the study. At the quantitative phase, survey was conducted while multiple case study was also used for the qualitative phase. The total sample for the study was one thousand six hundred and ninety-one (1691) teachers was selected. At the quantitative phase questionnaire were administered to 1679 teachers while 12 headmaster/mistresses were interview at the qualitative phase. It emerged that orientation, counselling and information services should be adequately provided in senior high schools to provide students from indiscipline. Moreover, the study revealed that the location of the teacher-counsellor’s office should be convenient to ensure privacy and confidentiality which would enable students to patronise guidance service. Again, the finding revealed that there should be a clear national policy on funding, allocation of time and role definition of school counsellors to help them carry their duties. The paper highlights comprehensive overview on issues related to the implementation school guidance services.

The study aimed to establish the effect of secondary school guidance programs in preparing students for successful transition to university. Mixed methods research design was used which included the use of both quantitative and qualitative methods to generate data using a concurrent triangulation approach. Purposive sampling was applied to sample first year students in Moi University and proportionate sampling together with simple random sampling was used in the selection of 375 participants comprising both male and female students. Data were collected through questionnaires and focus group discussions. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive (mean and standard deviation) and inferential statistics by means of SPSS (Pearson Correlation Coefficient), followed by linear regression to test the hypothesis. Thematic analysis was used for qualitative data analysis. The findings of this study revealed that high school guidance programs do not support learners adequately in preparing them to transition to university. The study recommended the implementation of more enhanced collaboration between schools and universities for successful transition.

In the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, the educational process has undergone significant transformations. Teachers, students, lessons, additional materials, homework, school guidance and discussions displayed new ways of expression, while applications commonly used for communication became working tools. Specialists in the field of education were encouraged to identify the most appropriate scenarios for the specifics of the school and the local context, so that the training and development of students’ competences be continuous, both in accordance with specific school curricula and new ways of organizing the teaching process. The debates about the digitization of education are accentuated by the major structural problems that the Romanian educational system is facing. In many rural schools, especially, the digitization remains a difficult goal to achieve. As the Ministry of Education has recently acknowledged, more than 250,000 students today do not have access to the infrastructure needed for education during the pandemic. Without proactive measures to balance the situation, education during the pandemic is currently discriminating, instead of being an integrative solution. The present study offers a model for conducting online education in a rural school: Secondary School no. 1 in Valu lui Traian, Constanþa County. Through this, we want to show the benefits of online education, but also its limits determined, especially, by the absence of collaboration and direct communication between teachers, students and parents in a space suitable for the educational process: namely the school and the class of students.

Abstract In recent years, rural e-commerce has been actively improving, but the contradiction between talent demand and supply has become increasingly prominent. This article combines the four dimensions of personal characteristics, professional attitude, family background and external environment to conduct empirical research on willingness to engage in rural e-commerce among e-commerce major students. The results show that the willingness to engage in rural e-commerce is generally low, which influences internship experience, academic planning, salary expectations, career perception, family attitudes, school guidance and public opinion.

This study examined the influence of psychosocial guidance and counselling services (GCS) on secondary school students’ academic performance in Tanga City. The study employed a mixed method approach that utilized a correlation and a case study design. The study’s sample size was 423 respondents, including 330 students, 26 heads of schools, 33 guidance counsellors, 33 academic teachers and one City Educational Officer. The study used questionnaires with close and open - ended questions and semi structured interview guides for data collection. Data was analyzed thematically and through the descriptive statistics as well through the hypothesis testing. The study concludes that the academic performance of the students is good; psychosocial GCS have assisted them in providing helpful instruction on psychological and social issues which otherwise would interfere with their academic performance. Furthermore, there is a significant positive relationship between students’ access to psychosocial GCS and their academic performance. The study recommends the establishment of a strong school GCS policy which will oversee the effective implementation of the psychosocial GCS in the schools. It also recommends the employment of supervisory personnel trained in guidance and counselling psychology, who would oversee the assessment of the problems and needs of students. Finally, the study recommends the training of the guidance and counsellor teachers in the field of school guidance and counselling psychology in order to equip them with professionalism for rendering quality services.

This technique is used to analyze data obtained from the results of distributing questionnaires, and uses a model developed by (Daniel Stufflebeam, 2014), namely (1) context, (2) input, (3) process, and (4) product or what is called CIPP. Data were collected from observations, questionnaires, and documentation studies. The results of this study indicate that the overall variable of SLB-C of South Kalimantan Province gets a percentage of 70.5% with good criteria. Based on the results of these data, it can be decided that overall educational learning in the State Special School Guidance for South Kalimantan Province is in good criteria.
