The application of constructive geometric modeling to pedagogical models of teaching graphic disciplines today is a promising direction for using computer technology in the educational process of educational institutions. The essence of the method of constructive geometric modeling is to represent any operation performed on geometric objects in the form of a transformation, as a result of which some constructive connection is established, and the transformation itself can be considered as a result of the action of an abstract cybernetic device. Constructive geometric modeling is a popular information tool for information processing in various applied areas, however, this tool cannot be appreciated without the presence of appropriate software systems and developed design techniques. Traditionally, constructive geometric modeling is used in the design of mechanical engineering, energy, aircraft and shipbuilding facilities, in architectural and design engineering. The need to study descriptive geometry at the university in recent years has something in common with the issues of mastering graphic packages of computer programs in the framework of the new discipline "Engineering and Computer Graphics". The well-known KOMPAS software product is considered the simplest and most attractive for training. It should be noted the important role of graphic packages in the teaching of geometric disciplines that require a figurative perception of the material by students. Against the background of a reduction in classroom hours, computer graphics packages are practically the only productive teaching methodology, successfully replacing traditional tools - chalk and blackboard.

In “At Berkeley: Documenting the University in an Age of Austerity,” Michael Mark Cohen and Leigh Raiford address documentary’s evolving capacity for political mobilization by focusing on the role of documentary photography and film in the struggle around austerity at the University of California, Berkeley. While the university administration used documentary’s graphic appeal to enlist alumni in a fund-raising campaign that effectively naturalized the privatization of public higher education, students took up documentary forms to challenge the logic of neoliberalism. Working with Cohen and Raiford, who teach at UC Berkeley, student activists produced their own counterdocuments, repurposing documentary images that the university uses to sell education in an era of skyrocketing tuition fees, and rendering themselves as active participants in the struggle to reshape the university and the broader society.

The purpose of the research is a comparative study of the use of social networks in the educational and sociocultural context. The comparison criteria include the following indicators: social status (student-teacher), demographic characteristics (gender and age), and sociocultural indicators (the country of residence – Russia, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan). A questionnaire based on closed and open questions was used to collect data. The data were analyzed in SPSS. Various strategies (constructively individualistic and value-normative strategies) were identified for obtaining and using information through social networks that are mediated by ex-isting cultural and social practices. There is a qualitative difference in the use of social networks by teachers and students. Students are primarily attracted by the ability to communicate on social networks. The use of social networks by teach-ers is mediated by their professional activities. The results obtained allow us to build other forms of interaction between the teacher and students A teacher coor-dinates students' independent intellectual activities rather than transmits knowledge; students become not just consumers of educational information, but active participants in the creation of an intellectual product.

The planning preparation of an activity is highly recommended in Islamic perspective. The completion of university’s study program does not make the university complete its planning task. The existence of alumni as a necessity of the educational process has an important position and role in Islamic civilization and requires seriousness in planning its development. Currently, exploring concepts from an Islamic perspective is still limited, especially in terms of alumni development. The purpose of this study is to describe the concept of alumni in an Islamic perspective and to explain the planning of alumni development in the university. This study uses a qualitative approach with library research. The results of this study are (1) the term ‘alumni’ in the Islamic perspective refers to a monumental event and (2) alumni development planning can use the POAC (planning, organizing, actuating, controlling) concept by George Robert Terry where the stages of the flow start from planning, then organizing, then mobilizing and finally monitoring. After knowing the role of alumni is very strategic, it is hoped that alumni development planning in the future will be managed properly and seriously.

Abstrak

Penyusunan suatu perencanaan kegiatan sangatlah dianjurkan dalam perspektif Islam. When there is high competition between universities for applicants, research into the applicants’ motives becomes relevant. This research used a survey questionnaire, the results of which were subjected to correlation analysis. The survey involved students from four Moscow universities, differing in both rating and quality of admission. The main reasons why applicants choose their university were the availability of budget places and the cost of training. The source of information about the university is also important. Modern youth (and also their parents) focus mainly on Internet sites for applicants and on the university’s website social networks. The role of Internet resources will only increase in the future although traditional forms of attracting applicants, such as open days and Olympics should not be discounted. They attract at least a quarter of the admissions. The research revealed that school graduates who are strongly oriented toward higher education prepare for exams very seriously. More than two-thirds of all students surveyed noted several options for preparing for the exam. However, not all applications had a solid life position with regard to their future profession. Many have chosen those courses that are easier to pass. One of the important factors in making a choice and in preparation is the image of the university. The higher the rating of the university, the more motivated applicants it attracts and as a result, the level of training of graduates also increases. It is proposed that distance forms of participation in university events are developed so as to expand coverage.
