Spirit diagnosing is an important theory in TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine), by which a TCM doctor can diagnose a patient’s body state. But this theory is complicated and difficult to master simply learned from books. To further the theory and skill of spirit diagnosing, in this paper, the authors propose a remote education system that can accept videos from a user and give the user an auto-diagnosed spirit. The key technology in this system is eye feature computation in spirit diagnosing, for which rules describing “the spirit” (spirit in TCM refers to the human’s mental state which reflects the one’s general physical condition) state are mined by the quantitative features regarding the human eyes. With videos capturing eye condition during a short period, a set of eye features are extracted. On this basis, attribute intervals of the eye feature space is generated by CAIM (class-attribute interdependence maximization). Several of the candidate rules are then mined by the association rule based on the cloud model. Finally, three complementary rule-pruning methods are modified and combined to trim the candidate rules. The cross validation test for mined rules has an average accuracy of 93%, which shows the high performance of the proposed method.

This study explored (i) the effect of visual feedback (supplied by video-tape) compared with verbal feedback in learning beginning trampoline; (ii) the effect of verbal ability on Ss' interpretation of feedback. 18 11 to 12-yr.-old boys were assigned to 2 groups: Group V (visual), N = 8; Group NV (non-visual), N = 10, matched for performance on beginning trampoline, general physical ability, and verbal ability as measured by the Mill-Hill Vocabulary Test, Form 1, Junior (1948). Results showed some superiority of Group V over Group NV (p > .05). However, Ss at all levels of verbal ability benefitted from visual feedback, while only Ss in Group NV with high verbal ability achieved a high performance score (r = 0.6, p < 0.05).

The coating is one key technology of lost foam casting (LFC). This paper discussed the influences of refractory aggregate contents on strength, viscosity and other performances of LFC coating, and develops a high performance coating which can meet the requirement of LFC for steel casting. The results shown that with the content of the high bauxite increasing and the content of zircon powders decreasing, the strength, permeability and attached quantity of the coating increased. The best ratio of refractory aggregate is 70% high bauxite and 30% zircon powders. The optimal formula in the experiments is 70% high bauxite, 30% zircon powders, 3% sodium bentonite, 0.5% CMC and 5% ludox. This coating has good comprehensive performances to meet the requirements of LFC steel casting.

The article describes the individual components of higher education in the Tula region. The questions concerning the role of the state in the formation of the general educational vector and the degree of its influence on the training of highly qualified personnel are considered. The analysis of some statistical data characterizing the higher education system of the Tula region is carried out. The article proves the relationship between the higher education system and the prospects for the development of the labor market in the Tula region. The limitations that may affect the nature of interaction between market structures and the education system are identified. The prospects of interaction between educational and market structures for the formation of competitive labor resources in the cancers of the Tula region are formulated.

In deep neural networks, which have been gaining attention in recent years, the features of input images are expressed in a middle layer. Using the information on this feature layer, high performance can be demonstrated in the image recognition field. In the present study, we achieve image recognition, without using convolutional neural networks or sparse coding, through an image feature extraction function obtained when identity mapping learning is applied to sandglass-style feed-forward neural networks. In sports form analysis, for example, a state trajectory is mapped in a low-dimensional feature space based on a consecutive series of actions. Here, we discuss ideas related to image analysis by applying the above method.

This paper presents a new approach to the organization of ICT training courses on the basis of the designed and developed a private training cloud prototype. The developed prototype was built on the Microsoft System Center 2012 resources, which allowed consolidating high-performance computing tools, combined different classes of storage devices and provided these resources on demand. We describe the implementation of SaaS private cloud model for ICT user courses and PaaS model - for ICT programming courses.

The article highlights the important factors of general physical fitness in the general education system, maintaining the health of students in class and extracurricular activities, their physical development. Within the framework of solidarity of educational and extracurricular activities of students and teachers, views were expressed on the constant monitoring of physical development of students in the educational process, adherence to the principles of individual and personal approach, creating psychological comfort in shaping and increasing motivation in students. The author used the methods of analysis, comparison, generalization, conversation in solving the tasks and testing the hypothesis.
