Towards the Integration of Trajectory Information Sources for Semantic Conflicts Detection Purpose

The advance of remote sensors and positioning technologies is leading to the eruption of disparate mobility data. For a long while, location sensing devices became released. As a result, different structures of mobility data sources may reveal the details of instantaneous behaviors performed by mobile entities. Collected mobility information forms the need of behavior modeling to understanding behaviors from cognitive and analytics perspectives. Each designer may use a different formalism and representation by using either “conceptual modeling” or “ontology”. The phenomenon of adopting ontologies by organizations creates a new type of data called semantic data handled by semantic databases. The diversity of these formalisms highly increases the structural and semantic heterogeneities and consequently increases the complexity of integration tasks. In this chapter, authors propose a semantic and scalable approach that unifies formalisms and representations by the means of ontologies. This approach is supported by a case study.

Social manufacturing is characterized by its capability of utilizing socialized manufacturing resources to achieve value adding. Recently, a new type of social manufacturing pattern emerges and shows potential for core factories to improve their limited manufacturing capabilities by utilizing the resources from outside socialized manufacturing resource communities. However, the core factories need to analyze the resource characteristics of the socialized resource communities before making operation plans, and this is challenging due to the unaffiliated and self-driven characteristics of the resource providers in socialized resource communities. In this paper, a deep learning and complex network based approach is established to address this challenge by using socialized designer community for demonstration. Firstly, convolutional neural network models are trained to identify the design resource characteristics of each socialized designer in designer community according to the interaction texts posted by the socialized designer on internet platforms. During the process, an iterative dataset labelling method is established to reduce the time cost for training set labelling. Secondly, complex networks are used to model the design resource characteristics of the community according to the resource characteristics of all the socialized designers in the community. Two real communities from RepRap 3D printer project are used as case study.

A new type of case study, called the real-time case (RTC), was produced in the fall of 2001 and distributed via the Internet to business classes at four universities in the US and Canada. The real-time case presented the story of one company's growth and development throughout a 14-week semester. A case writer stationed full-time at the subject company published case installments weekly on the Web, allowing students to view the company-building process as it happened. The 14-week coverage of RTC enabled students to study the subject company in unprecedented depth and detail. RTC's real-time interactivity allowed students to share their analyses and best thinking with the company leadership during the company’s decision-making process.A major objective in producing the case was to heighten student engagement with the case material. To evaluate whether this objective was achieved, a survey and a focus group discussion were conducted with one of the participating MBA classes. Results from the survey and the focus group showed a high degree of engagement, plus many other benefits from the new type of case study.

Cloud Learning Environments (CLEs) have recently emerged as a novel approach to learning, putting learners in the spotlight and providing them with the cloud-based tools for building their own learning environments according to their specific learning needs and aspirations. Although CLEs bring significant benefits to educators and learners, there is still little evidence of CLEs being actively and effectively used in the teaching and learning process. This chapter addresses this issue by introducing a European initiative called weSPOT (Working Environment with Social, Personal and Open Technologies for Inquiry-based Learning) for supporting and enhancing inquiry-based learning in STEM education via a cloud-based inquiry toolkit. The chapter presents evidence of using this toolkit within a case study that investigates how a secondary education community of students / co-learners selects information sources on the web and identifies factors associated with the reliability of information sources during their collaborative inquiry (co-inquiry) project in online environments.

The case method can be classified as a type of experiential learning because students treat the problem in the case as if it were real and immediate. Until the Internet there was no practical way for cases to actually be real and immediate. The Internet makes possible instantaneous distribution of cases, and it makes possible their creation in real time. This article describes a recent attempt to use the Internet to bring business reality to business courses, and to facilitate communication among instructors, students, and the case company. It explores the challenges and difficulties involved in producing a new type of case study, and it assesses the feasibility of doing so on a regular basis. The goal of the author is to stimulate a dialog about how the Internet can be used to move forward all of our teaching methods, but especially the one that is prominent in schools of business: the case method.

Red junglefowl domestication has been carried out by communities in the region of Bengkulu Province. This research aimed to study the management of keeping red junglefowl and the offsprings and the coops. The research was carried out in Bengkulu Province. The sample of breeders was selected using snow-ball sampling method. The selected samples were recorded and used as the data and information sources. The data were collected by interviewing, questionnaires, and direct observation. The data obtained were processed, presented in the form of tables, drawings and analyzed descriptively. Based on research method, out of a total of 200 red junglefowl breeders and or the offsprings were chosen 50 (25%) respondents from Bengkulu city, 50 (25%) respondents from Seluma District, 50 (25%) respondents from Central Bengkulu District and 50 (25%) respondents from North Bengkulu District. The red junglefowl and the offsprings breeding is divided into keeping the hens, roosters and chicks. The hens were kept in the coop during the day and night (41%), released during the day and night (22%) and kept during the night in the coop and released during the day (37%). In the same way, in sequence, the breeding of roosters was 71%, 12.5% and 16.5%, while the breeding of chicks was 37%, 18% and 45%. 31% respondents provided quarantine coop, while 69% respondents did not. 75% provided hens coop and 25% did not, 61% provided roosters coop and 39% did not. Finally, the respondents who provided chicks coop were 40.5% and 59.5% did not. The breeding management has not been done intensively, some respondents have completed coops system, but not yet meet the criteria of good coop.Keywords: Domestication, red junglefowl, coops

The spread of pneumonia cases caused by a new type of Coronavirus (Novel Coronavirus) SARS Cov-2 was established by WHO called Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) on February 2020 and designated as a pandemic on March 11, 2020. However, an interesting phenomenon arises, despite the high number of COVID-19 spread in Jakarta. That is as of April 10, 2020, 50 out of 267 urban villages in Jakarta are declared free of COVID-19 (not infected with the virus) and one of them is the most populous village in Jakarta called the most densely populated urban village in Southeast Asia, namely Kalianyar in Tambora Sub District, West Jakarta.This study aims to find out how does Kalianyar combat the spread of COVID-19, recalling that considering the nature of the virus transmission, Kalianyar has high potential to be a vulnerable zone. The research was conducted through a qualitative analysis on a case study of Kalianyar aiming to examine the deep explanation and understanding of distinctive implementation and to obtain the lesson learned from the implementation of Fournier's idea seeing how the common process occurs. The common process occurring within social organization in Kalianyar shows that there are relational and reciprocal relationships resulting from each activity related to the three axes as suggested by Fournier.
