Features of Gaze Control Systems

Severely disabled people will often spend a significant part of their waking day using gaze control. Technology has a positive impact on many areas of their life. What simple features do people who have severe and complex disabilities need to use gaze control technology? In this chapter, we consider features that are enhancing the effective use of this innovative and rapidly growing method of computer control. It also provides practical hints in finding and choosing the best gaze control system for each individual.

Configuration technology is a new technology for monitoring in the current society; it is the result of the development of computer control technology. To traffic light control system, it is to combine the use of configuration technology and procedures related to PLC, and through software simulation and traffic lights light changes, traffic light control system could achieve the monitoring problem, and if the system is in good condition, its application can save a lot of labor powers and materials.

Penelitian ini menguji efektifitas sistem pengendalian intern, dukungan manajemen dan audit professionalism terhadap keefektifan audit internal. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 39 Inspektorat Daerah dari enam Provinsi. Penelitian ini menggunakan regresi berganda untuk menganalisis data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem pengendalian intern dan dukungan manajemen berpengaruh secara positif terhadap keefektifan audit internal. Penelitian ini gagal memberikan bukti empiris audit professionalism berpengaruh terhadap keefektifan1 audit internal. Penelitian ini memperkaya penelitian yang sudah ada terkait keefektifan audit internal dan penekanan pentingnya sistem pengendalian intern di pemerintah daerah.This study examined the effectiveness of internal control system, management support, and audit professionalism on internal audit effectiveness of local government. The sample consists of 39 regional inspectorates of six provinces in Indonesia. By using multiple regressions, this study found that internal control system and management support has positive impact on the effectiveness of the internal audit. However, there is no support for the audit professionalism on internal audit effectiveness. This study enriches existing research related to the effectiveness of the internal audit and emphasis the importance of internal control systems in local government.

PID control systems are the most commonly used control technology in industries. However, there are issues on control performances for the unstable process with time delays. In order to improve the control performances of PID control systems, a new two degree of freedom model driven PID control system is introduced in this paper and it is used to the unstable processes with time delay. The model driven PID control is capable of stabilizing with unstable processes by using PD feedback, regulating quickly for disturbance and tracking quickly to the change of set point. With case studies comparing with conventional PID control systems was done.

A Wall-Climbing Robot (WCR) with magnetic tracks is presented in this paper. The robot is designed for labeling the scale of oil tank.5 The Wall-Climbing Robot (WCR) uses a permanent magnet sucker as its sucking mode, and a track as its moving mode. We designed an elastic brace mechanism, a load-scatter mechanism and parallelogram mechanism to improve the robot's adaptability on the steel wall surface. The control system utilizes two-level computer control systems, achieving control of the robot's moving track and processing data collected by the robot.

Fertigungssysteme müssen dem Bedarf nach „maßgeschneiderten“ Produkten und kürzeren Produktlebenszyklen nachkommen. Ein systembasierter Maschinenbau erlaubt das Hinzufügen oder Entfernen von Modulen für spezifische Produktionsschritte. Die Konfiguration der passenden Steuerungstechnik basiert derzeit auf Stücklisten der eingesetzten Maschinenmodule. Dieser Fachbeitrag stellt vor, wie sich moderne Steuerungssysteme mittels Informationen, die jedes Maschinenmodul bereitstellt, selbst konfigurieren.   Production systems must meet the demand for customized products and shorter product life cycles. System-based engineering allows adding or removing of modules for specific production steps. The configuration of the appropriate control technology is currently based on lists of modules used for each machine. This paper presents how modern control systems can be automatically configured based on information received from the individual modules.

Computer Control Systems course is a key course for undergraduates majored in Automation in Southwest University of China. Some problems exist in the teaching process. Problems were listed and analyzed in detail. To solve problems and improve teaching quality, traditional teaching was reformed and new methods were introduced for course teaching. These methods were put into practice in the teaching process. The result shows that the teaching reform of the course helps to solve some problems; undergraduates devote into learning more than before; and the operation ability and innovation consciousness of the students are improving.

SummarySome of the unusual factors influencing the choice of digital computer control systems for jet engines are discussed first. The conditions differ in various practical respects from conventional process control applications. Having several identical plants in a typical aircraft and the need for flexibility to keep pace with engine development are of particular importance. Approaching digital control with the traditional process control background may be restrictive in selecting potential applications for the technique.Techniques which can be used with computers to simplify and speed up three aspects of the realisation of a practical system are described briefly. The first of these is the measurement of the actual plant characteristics needed in the analysis of the control system requirements. The second is a method of obtaining good response in the synthesis of a non-linear control function. The third is a technique for programme writing and for simulation used in the verification of the control system behaviour.The techniques described are not in themselves necessarily confined to use with digital control systems and should have value in general use.

The advantages of programmable control systems for gas turbine engines have been recognized for some time. In the exotic climate of the aerospace industry some progress has been achieved by the use of digital computer control. This approach, however, cannot be justifed on an economic basis for industrial or vehicular applications. A programmable analog control system is described which provides the optimum solution to the twin problems of control capability and low cost. The basic element of this system is an analog computer which is programmed from a stored digital program. This computer performs calculations directly on sensor signals in analog form to provide analog signals that can be used directly to drive the system actuators. This programmable analog computer is described in detail, and an example is given of its application to a practical gas turbine control system. The size, cost, and reliability of the final programmable analog control system is shown to be attractive.
