Challenges in Risk Analysis in Pharmaceutical Process Control for Data Security in the Health Sector

The informational and digital era of big data brings with it the challenge of knowledge management. There is a need for better management, protection, and security of these data, as well as the respective validation. It is imperative to develop new technologies for data security and their respective implementation in any organizations. In this way, this chapter presents a blueprint in a pharmaceutical industry with the aim at proposing a risk analysis of digital data use during quality control. It is worth mentioning the age of knowledge, the intellectual capital plays an important role in economics and business. A key to competitiveness and, therefore, to economic development in technology runs through a robust process that demonstrates perpetual security for its digital transformation and the respective control in a process ensured by quality assurance. Thus, this implies that time and human resources in organizations are not infinite.

The informational and digital era of Big Data presents a non-trivial and unprecedented way in history for data and information management in organizations. Thus, to manage, protect, and ensure the validation of this data, it is imperative to develop new technologies for project management and their respective implementation in organizations. This chapter shows a case study in a pharmaceutical industry with the proposition of a methodology for validation of emerging technologies in the computerized systems. Data validation and security for project management in the organization is increasingly in demand. So, this implies that time and human resources in organizations are not infinite. It is necessary to prioritize the activities and resources dedicated to maintaining the validated state of the system. Authors propose a risk analysis to help companies with validation. They also present a proposed methodology for risk analysis from the point of view of the validation of computerized systems in a Warehouse Management module in a validated SAP ERP.

Digital transformation, one of the key areas of change management in the digital age, is defined as a process of changes by the means of using IR technologies in firm's operation. The extant literature suggests that implementation of digital technologies could improve communication, information flow, thus contributing towards value creation and firm performance. Notwithstanding of scarce financial, human resources and strategic capabilities to adopt new technologies among SMEs (Lee et al., 2020), the firm structure, which is more flexible as compared to large firms, offers opportunity in terms of quick decision making (Ghobakhloo & Ching, 2019) for the owner to adapt the firm's business model with market changes and implement necessary changes to sustain in the business. Moreover, previous studies indicate SMEs gained benefit from technology adoption. Nevertheless, transformation towards digitalisation requires a considerable judgement of decision, investment and effort by management and among the employees. Much of the literature focusing on organizational change suggests that changes often fail because of employees' resistance. This resistance is caused by their personal fears that change will affect them in any way. Employees are often afraid of changes that could lead to changes in comfortable social dynamics and to additional, less desirable or even more difficult tasks. The proliferation of new technologies brings new challenges but also concerns about job stability. Our paper addresses the issue of human resources development from e-government perspective and presents some features that could be considered when promoting technologies especially in sensitive areas such as public administration. The methodology of research aimed at measuring and interpreting a set of economic, technical and social aspects present in public organizations in Romania. The research findings show how HR is transforming into the digital era and what one might consider to bridge the gap between knowing and doing what is needed to put technology together with the latest processes and skills for a sustainable development of human resources. Keyword: e-HR, the digital era, the development of human resources

Digital Transformation becomes an essential strategy for organisations in this new digital arena, specifically after the COVID-19 pandemic and its unprecedented effects on the whole world and the manufacturing sector. In this new digital era, consumers became more expert and more engaging in the products using new technologies. At the same time, companies began to adopt digital transformation strategies in their manufacturing processes to become more agile and give the most value to their customers in fierce competition. This paper aims to identify and model the main challenges that face the digital transformation process in the manufacturing industry.. The main challenges were categorized to four main areas: skills, adoption of new technologies, change management practices, and innovation initiatives. By identifying these challenges, in a new and incremental way, manufacturing organisations will be able to adopt digital transformation processes efficiently and effectively in a proper manner.

Times have changed and teachers have evolved. New technologies have opened up the classroom to the outside world. Teachers who were seen with textbooks and blackboard are now using varied technological tools to empower learners to publish works and engage learners with live audience in real contexts. In this digital era an ever-expanding array of powerful software has been made available. The flipped classroom is a shift from passive to active learning to focus on higher order thinking skills such as analysis, synthesis and evaluation. This model of teaching combines pedagogy and learning technologies. Significant learning happens through facilitating active learning through engaged learners. In this approach learning materials are provided through text, video, audio and multimedia. Students take responsibility of their learning. They work together applying course concepts with guidance from the instructor. This increased interaction helps to create a learning community that encourages them to build knowledge inside and outside the classroom.

We are witnessing how new technologies are radically changing the design of organizations, the way in which they produce and manage both their objectives and their strategies, and -above all- how digital transformation impacts the people who are part of it. Even today in our country, many organizations think that digitalizing is having a presence on social networks, a web page or venturing into cases of success in corporate social intranet. Others begin to invest a large part of their budget in training their teams and adapting them to the digital age. But given this current scenario, do we know exactly what the digital transformation of organizations means? It is necessary? Implying? Is there a roadmap to follow that leads to the success of this process? How are organizations that have been born 100% digital from their business conception to the way of producing services through the use of platforms? What role does the organizational culture play in this scenario? The challenge of the digital transformation of businesses and organizations, which is part of the paradigm of the industrial revolution 4.0, is happening here and now in all types of organizations, whether are they private, public or third sector. The challenge to take into account in this process is to identify the digital competences that each worker must face in order to accompany these changes and not be left out of it. In this sense, the present work seeks to analyze the main characteristics of the current technological advances that make up the digital transformation of organizations and how they must be accompanied by a digital culture and skills that allow their successful development. In order to approach this project, we will carry out an exploratory research, collecting data from the sector of new actors in the world of work such as employment platforms in its various areas (gastronomy, delivery, transportation, recreation, domestic service, etc) and an analysis of the main technological changes that impact on the digital transformation of organizations in Argentina.

The aim of this paper are: to create a data visualization that can assist the Government in evaluating the return on the development of health facilities in the region and province area in term of human resources for medical personnel, to help community knowing the amount of distribution of hospitals with medical personnel in the regional area and to map disease indicator in Indonesia. The issue of tackling health is still a major problem that is not resolved by the Government of Indonesia. There are three big things that become problems in the health sector in Indonesia: infrastructure has not been evenly distributed and less adequate, the lack of human resources professional health workforce, there is still a high number of deaths in the outbreak of infectious diseases. Data for the research are taken from BPS, in total 10,600 records after the Extract, Transform and Loading process. Time needed to convert several publications from PDF, to convert to CSV and then to MS Excel 3 weeks. The method used is Eight-step Data Visualization and Data Mining methodology. Tableau is chosen as a tool to create the data visualization because it can combine each dasboard inside a story interactive, easier for the user to analyze the data. The result is a story with 3 dashboards that can fulfill the requirement from BPS staff and has been tested with a satisfied result in the UAT (User Acceptance Test). For most professionals to succeed in the current job market, they need some entrepreneurial skills (ES). This study aimed to describe and systematize these skills, considering the current globalization and digital transformation phenomena. The documental analysis and the critical reflection on the collected data allowed us to identify the socio-economic and socio-cultural reasons for the relevance of this problem. Consequently, to elaborate a frame of reference intended to be adequate to the needs of the professionals of the current global and digital era. The results pointed to a tripartite ES model—to be open to novelty, to create solutions to emerging problems, and to communicate effectively—which integrates the following skills: Creativity and innovation, the spirit of initiative, self-efficacy and resilience, strategic planning, and evaluation, resolution of problems and decision-making, transformational leadership, clear and visual communication, teamwork and networking, and digital communication. In the continuation of this study, an ES scale will be created and validated according to this model, which will make it possible to measure the degree of development of these competencies.

Industry 4.0 revolution, with its cutting-edge technologies, is an enabler for businesses, particularly in reducing the cost and improving the productivity. However, a large number of organizations are still too in their infancy to leverage the true potential of Industry 4.0 and its technologies. This paper takes a quantitative approach to reveal key insights from the companies that have implemented Industry 4.0 technologies. For this purpose, 238 technology companies in Malaysia were studied through a survey questionnaire. As technology companies are usually the first in line to adopt new technologies, they can be studied better as leaders in adopting the latest technologies. The findings of this descriptive study surfaced an array of insights in terms of Industry 4.0 readiness, Industry 4.0 technologies, leadership, strategy, and innovation. This research paper contributes by providing 10 key empirical insights on Industry 4.0 that can be utilized by managers to pace up their efforts towards digital transformation, and can help the policymakers in drafting the right policy to drive the digital revolution.
