This article analyzes the recent literature in the search for the fundamentals of business intelligence (BI). The literature review covers the overview of BI; BI and technology acceptance model (TAM); BI, Big Data, and social media; the elements of BI; the characteristics of BI; enterprise information system (EIS) and cloud computing; the importance of BI; and the implementation of BI. BI involves creating any type of data visualization that provides insight into a business for the purpose of making a decision or taking an action.BI can assist organizations by facilitating better decisions in all facets of operations. The ideal BI system gives the organizations easy access to the information and the ability to analyze and share this information with other business enterprises. The findings present valuable insights and further understanding of the way in which BI perspectives should be emphasized.

Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) is an important tool to understand the dynamics of acceptance of Information Systems in an organization. The model posits that perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness are key factors in the adoption. This study extends TAM for investigating the user rejection of technology by reversing the two key factors into perceived difficulty of use and perceived uselessness. The study was conducted by surveying the customers of an e-banking application in Turkey who disuse the system. The results reveal important hints for the organization that wants to get an insight into the causes of the system disuse.

Financial Payment has evolved into mobile payment for easy access and convenience. Despite the benefits of mobile payment, the adoption rate is unsatisfactory worldwide. Therefore, understanding the customer's adoption intention factors is essential for both researchers and practitioners. This study examines mobile payment intention and actual use by adapting the integrated framework, which combines the Mobile Technology Acceptance Model and the Theory of Planned Behaviour with additional new constructs found to be related. The new model consists of 12 variables moderated by the individual's experience and is examined via a structured PLS equation mixed-mode methodology. Knowing mobile payment influence will shape the industry strategic decision and socially contribute to transforming society into a cashless society. This paper provides an opportunity to prove the relationship between technology variables and human behaviour concerning mobile payment adoption. In contrast, this study novelty adopted an integrated model that combines MTAM with the TPB.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to establish the influence of strategic e-procurement practice on performance of Devolved systems of government in Kenya. Methodology: The study adopted cross-sectional survey design using both quantitative and qualitative approaches.  The target population was all the 47 devolved systems of government. The sample size was the 10 counties namely; Garissa, Kisii, Nyamira, Narok, Marsabit, Murang’a, Bomet, Nairobi, Kiambu and Homa Bay specifically employees working under finance and procurement department. The study adopted stratified random sampling to pick 186 respondents from finance and procurement department. Data was collected by using questionnaires Descriptive and inferential statistics was used aided by Statistical Packages for Social Sciences version 24 to compute percentages of respondents’ answers.  Hypothesis testing was carried using multiple regression analysis and standard F tests. The results were presented using tables. Results: The  study  findings  revealed  that  Strategic e-procurement practice explained  49.6%  of the  total  variations  in  performance  of  devolved systems of government  in  Kenya.  Further,  results  indicate that  the  overall  model  was  statistically  significant as  supported  by  a  p  value  of  0.000.  This was  supported  by  an  F  statistic  of  (F=155.245, p<0.05) and  the  reported  p  value  (0.000)  which  was  less than  the  conventional  probability  of  0.05  significance  level. The standardized regression coefficient for Strategic E-procurement was 0.704. This indicates that a unit increase in the Strategic E-procurement would result in 70.4% increase in the performance of Devolved systems of government in Kenya this implied that there   is   a strong positive relationship   between Strategic E-procurement  and  performance  of  Devolved systems of government in  Kenya . Unique contribution to theory, practice and policy:  Based on the findings, the study recommends that devolved systems of government should adopted e-procurement system and automate all procurement operation procedures to enhance smooth work flow and hence improve efficiency the study further  recommends that  Devolved systems of government should adopt e-procurement for various uses such as in the standardization of services for representation in the catalog, sourcing goods and services globally, as way of reducing costs in areas such tendering processes, payment and contract management. But management should be aware and cautious that e-procurement is capital intensive in terms of acquisition and laying down the required infrastructure and highly perishable. Thus the study recommends that strategic e-procurement practice should be implemented within the legal framework of public procurement acts and regulations because it moderate has positive correlation with the performance of Devolved systems of government in Kenya. The findings are in harmony with technology acceptance model which suggest that emerging technologies cannot improve organizational effectiveness and performance if the change has not been accepted by the users. Therefore first it’s crucial for the users to accept the new technology (e-procurement) so as to reduce administrative costs, possible broadening of suppliers’ base, and easy access to preferred goods. In conclusion technology acceptance model can be used by future scholars.

The study was an investigation of the impact of perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use of business intelligence (BI) tools among users. The relationship between and among the dependent variable (utilization of BI tools) and the independent variables (perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use) was investigated through the lenses of technology acceptance model (TAM). Other objectives for the current research were to build a model to predict users’ utilization of the independent variables, and to generalize the results of the research to the IT population. Data for the current research was collected utilizing a survey questionnaire, designed by the researcher, with a 5-point Likert scale to interpret responses to the survey questions. The analysis consisted of descriptive statistics and multiple regressions models. A prediction model was structured using generalized linear models. The result of the study was the development of a prediction model for BI tools utilization through the lenses of a technology acceptance model (TAM). The model highlighted the importance of up-to-date information provided by current BI tools, ability of BI tools to provide users with more analytical tools to accomplish their jobs, the degree to which BI tools allow users to present convincing arguments, the ability of BI tools to provide users with more possible solutions, the ability of BI tools to reduce the time required to accomplish jobs, and the ability of BI tools to help users make relevant business predictions.

This study emphasizes on the proliferation of technological devices such as smartphones and the effectiveness of WhatsApp Group Chat in working organization such as Kadokawa Gempak Starz™ for Internal Communication. Technology is applied in work as they aid in solving problems and easy access to information. There were two research objectives which the study seeks to determine. First is to explain the adoption of WhatsApp Group Chat for Internal Communication through Technology Acceptance Model. Second, is to examine the challenges of using WhatsApp Group Chat for Internal Communication. The study employed a research design based on questionnaire with a total number of 120 respondents. Ultimately the findings showed that the respondents find it challenging to use WhatsApp Group Chat for Internal Communication and are on the fence about its usage for Internal Communication as well as the effectiveness to serve as a communication tool for internal Communication at Kadokawa Gempak Starz™, all of these variables will hugely impacted the behavioral intention towards WhatsApp Group Chat in the future.

Mobile Business Intelligence (BI) is the ability to access BI-related data such as key performance indicators (KPIs), business metric and dashboard through mobile device. Mobile BI addresses the use-case of remote or mobile workers that need on-demand access to business-critical data. User acceptance on mobile BI is an essential in order to identify which factors influence the user acceptance of mobile BI application. Research on mobile BI acceptance model on organizational decision-making is limited due to the novelty of mobile BI as newly emerged innovation. In order to answer gap of the adoption of mobile BI in organizational decision-making, this paper reviews the existing works on mobile BI Acceptance Model for organizational decision-making. Two user acceptance models which are Technology Acceptance Model and Technology Acceptance Model for Mobile Services will be review. Realizing the essential of strategic organizational decision-making in determining success of organizations, the potential of mobile BI in decision-making need to be explore. Since mobile BI still in its infancy, there is a need to study user acceptance and usage behavior on mobile BI in organizational decision-making. There is still opportunity for further investigate the impact of mobile BI on organizational decision-making.
