Currently, stacking condition related to the energy absorption of composite materials is being considered as an issue for the structural efficiency and safety of automobiles, aerospace vehicles, trains, ships even elevators during collision. In particular, CFRP (carbon fiber reinforced plastics) composite materials have found wide applicability because of their inherent design flexibility and improved material properties. The most important objective in designing automobiles is currently to focus on environment-friendly aspect and safety performance aspect. Therefore, the designing automobile should be more concerned on the aspect of securing safety performance, but at the same time, it also should consider reducing weight of automobile structural member. In this study, CFRP (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastics) side members with single-hat-section shaped were manufactured. The axial static collapse tests were performed for the members using universal testing machine, and the collapse mode and energy absorption characteristics were analyzed according to stacking condition such as fiber orientation angle and shape of the section.

AbstractHigh quality undoped AlGaN/GaN high electron mobility transistors(HEMTs) structures have been gorwn by Hydride Vapor Phase Epitaxy (HVPE). The morphology of the films grown on Al2O3 substrates is excellent with root-mean-square roughness of ∼0.2nm over 10×10μm2 measurement area. Capacitance-voltage measurements show formation of dense sheet of charge at the AlGaN/GaN interface. HEMTs with 1μm gate length fabricated on these structures show transconductances in excess of 110 mS/mm and drain-source current above 0.6A/mm. Gate lag measurements show similar current collapse characteristics to HEMTs fabricated in MBE- or MOCVD grown material.

Collapse is one of the major geological disasters all over the world and threats to life and property safety of people. To make a better understanding of the reason it occurs and how to deal with it, the Kim-Yun-Mine collapse is researched. There are one dangerous rock mass and two collapse accumulation body. The basic characteristics of the collapse is described clearly according to the geological exploration data, and the stability of the dangerous rock mass and the collapse accumulated body is analyzed in the way of engineering geology and stereographic projection. At last, we put forward comprehensive control measures based on the results of stability analysis and collapse characteristics.
