Base on the characteristic of the system, a model of FMS (Flexible Manufacturing System) is carried on in this paper by combining with the merit of OOPN (Object-Oriented Petri Nets) and UML (Unified Modeling Language). The static structure of FMS is described with UML, but for the dynamic characteristics of the system we complete with object-oriented petri nets, and then the system Petri net model was transform into the UML state diagrams and sequence diagrams according to the corresponding mapping and the transformation rule, thus we obtain a integrity model of the system while improving the reliability of the model.

Scenarios has become a popular technique for requirements elicitation and specification building. Since scenarios capture only partial descriptions of the system behavior, an approach for scenario composition and/or integration is needed to produce more complete specifications. The Unified Modeling Language (UML), which has become a standard notation for object-oriented modeling, provides a suitable framework for scenario acquisition using Use Case diagrams and Sequence or Collaboration diagrams. In this paper, we suggest an algorithmic and tool support for composing and integrating scenarios that are represented in form of sequence diagrams. We suggest four operators (;: sequential operator, ||: concurrent operator, ?: conditional operator and  * :iteration operator) to compose a set of scenarios that describe a use case of a given system. In this paper, we suggest also to apply the scenario approach to B2B systems (Business to Business). We propose to develop B2B systems as a three activities process deriving formal specifications and code skeletons from UML scenarios. Activities of this proposed process are generally automatic and are supported by a set of developed algorithms and tools.

ABSTRACT: The purpose of this case is, first, to provide students with an experience in systems modeling, using facts gathered through interviews with employees who may not be skilled in presenting their responsibilities in a systematic, logical, sequential manner. Second, students will gain actual hands-on experience learning and using a leading modeling language, the Unified Modeling Language (UML), through a popular Computer-Aided Software Engineering (C.A.S.E.) tool. Finally, the students will be using those interview facts to model an object-oriented system for processing cash receipts. In that effort, they will learn and apply the unique documentation techniques used in analyzing and designing object-oriented systems with design features such as use cases, class diagrams with inheritance, and sequence diagrams.

Due to the complex timing sequence of NAND flash, a unified design process is urgently required to guarantee the reliability of storage system of nano-satellite. Unified Modeling Language (UML) is a widely used high level modeling language for object-oriented design. This paper adopts the UML as the design and modelling tool in the low level storage system design to elaborate the UML application in each phase of design in detail. The result shows taking UML as the modelling tool results in a clear and unambiguity design, which promotes the reliability and quality of software. At last, the feasibility of object-oriented implementation in C is presented.

Information systems built in the form of social media and the internet make us able to carry out various activities without having to meet face to face. Social media is currently the main attraction for people to communicate and find information quickly. This is a great opportunity for companies to reach and expand their market. With an information system built in the form of social media and the internet, all obstacles, both distance and high costs, can be suppressed and communication can be carried out effectively. So far, PT. Red Eye Utama conducts marketing through radio advertisements, newspapers / billboards, this is what causes problems, due to limited space and time, as well as high costs to carry out all these processes. The negotiation process between the company and the customer is one of the obstacles that affects the company's service to customers. Therefore, one solution to the problems in this system is to build a Social Media Advertise Maintenance Information System. By using PIECES method analysis for improvements based on performance indicators, indicator information, economic indicators, control indicators, efficiency indicators and service indicators. To design the new system, object-oriented modeling is used, namely UML (Unified Modeling Language) which is the right tool to use in describing the system design that will be made according to User needs.

The UML (Unified Modeling language) has become a standard in design of object-oriented computer systems (Schach 2004). UML provides for the use of stereotypes to extend the utility of its base capabilities. In the design and construction of business systems, the use of stereotypes is particularly useful stereotypes, and this article defines and illustrates these.

This chapter presents a conceptual modeling language for spatiotemporal applications that offers built-in support for capturing spatially referenced, time-varying information. More specifically, the well-known object-oriented Unified Modeling Language (UML) is extended to capture the semantics of spatiotemporal data. The extension, Extended Spatiotemporal UML, maintains language clarity and simplicity by introducing a small base set of fundamental modeling constructs: spatial, temporal, and thematic. These constructs can then be combined and applied at attribute, attribute group, association, and/or class levels of the object-oriented model; where the attribute group is an additional construct introduced for attributes with the same spatiotemporal properties. A formal functional specification of the semantic modeling constructs and their symbolic combinations is given and an example is used to illustrate the simplicity and flexibility of this approach.
