China’s present communication systems in coal mine can not effectively transfer information. Hence, rescue efforts are hard to be carried out in case of coal mine accident. To deal with this problem, a method of mine wireless communication system with low-power dissipation based on Zigbee wireless technology is presented. The paper at first introduces the characteristics and structure of ZigBee protocol, then introduced wireless communication networking mode of ZigBee device in coal mine underground, and gave principle of personnel position of coal mine underground and its realizing process.

This paper puts forward a method for a location system for colliery worker based on wireless mesh network combined with zigbee technology which supports IEEE 802.15.4 wireless communication standard, with low power dissipation. Data receipt and transmission by wireless communication is realized by RF chip MC13192 produced by Freescale company. Data procession and analysis is achieved by S3C2410A chip manufactured by Sumsung which belongs to ARM9 16/32 RISC processor.

The Smart power meter system based on ZigBee technology is successfully developed in the paper. The EM250 SOC chips are adopted to develop the wireless communication modules with ZigBee protocol. Parsing the AT command, encryption and such more basic function, the two different and independent program framework for the ESP and IHD(In-Home Display) have been worked out except finishing the data transmission. A smart wireless network based on ZigBee has been established. The home and outdoor testing have also been implemented too. The measured results show that a coordinator can support more than 500 nodes and communication distance reach more than 1000 meter outdoor and more than 50 meter from home to outdoor through the two walls.

Abstract Nowadays the development of Internet of Things (IoT) technology has witnessed great changes in the world. As it has often been mentioned, IoT Environment Monitoring Technologies and IOT Smart Home Technologies have been gradually accepted by people and have good prospects for development. Now we can research a networking based intelligent platform to monitor our forest environmental factors in time with the new IoT technology based on ZIGBEE protocol. ZIGBEE based networking technologies has the advantages of low power dissipation, low data rate and high-capacity transportation, which makes it more suitable for the design of the node of forest environmental factors collection platform. So, we are going to discuss a kind of IoT forest environment factors collection platform based on ZIGBEE protocol.

In recent years, people pay more and more attention to coal production safety. In order to enhance the security of underground work, optimize the coal mine management, and improve the personnel location accuracy, a newly arisen technique based on ZigBee with the low power, low cost and low complexity, which is suitable for being used to implement personnel position in underground coal mine, is built after comparing with several kinds of major wireless technology. In this paper, we present a new algorithm of underground personnel position based on this new technology. The algorithm uses Gaussian filtering algorithm and Bayesian statistics theory. The algorithm has been tested and the result has been analyzed. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm provides more accurate position than positioning algorithm using RSSI.

An implementation of wireless image acquisition node with low power dissipation, low cost, and high performance is proposed and testing results on transmission range and time are presented. The node is designed by using the latest high-performance microprocessor and CMOS image sensor and suits for situation where the demand for real-time performance is not strong.
