Trough roller is an important component part on belt conveyor, the carrying capacity of the roller is a basis of belt conveyor. The calculation principle and method of material’s cross section area is deduced in the thesis, and mechanical analysis of the trough roller is carried out based on that, in results, the static load of it is calculated. The finite element model of the trough roller is set up by Simulation /Works software, and then the stress and deformation results of it is clear through finite element statics calculation and analysis. Based on this thesis, some valuable basis and reference are offered to trough roller’s strength and stiffness design.

The finite element analysis of the underground buried pipes were done by being used ANSYS software. In order to improve or replace the traditional calculation method, basic information on buried pipeline without frusta was set up , stress and deformation were analyzed, a finite element calculation model was established.

Owing to the problem of week strength, tripping and bad sealing of the hollow sucker rod joints, we designs a new sucker rod joint, which has two kinds of prototypes, including tapered shoulder and round shoulder. The hollow sucker rod’s characteristic is easy disassembling, multiple sealing, and also has a large contact area of the shoulder. By using the method of finite-element analysis, we set up the finite-element model and analyze the contact stress and deformation distribution of two kinds of structure in different friction coefficients. Through the analysis, we find not only the bearing capacity of the circular arc shoulder joint, but also the sealing is also better than the tapered shoulder's joint. And for both kinds of joints, the friction coefficient is an important factor to affect the pretightening force.

Frame has important effects on the performance of the whole of heavy semi-trailer. A heavy semi-trailer frame is analyzed and researched on in the finite-element way in this article. The frame of 3D geometric model is established by using Pro/E. And it was imported into the Hypermesh to establish frame finite element model. Frame are calculated by using ANSYS solver in bending condition, emergency braking conditions and rapid turn conditions of stress and deformation conditions. The computational tools and methods we used provide the new type of frame and development with a reference method to refer to in this paper.

This study aims to evaluate the thermomechanical behavior of a new composite structure using finite element method. The composite structure consists of the substrate and the thermal spray coating with embedded fiber optic. The temperature evolution of the composite estimated by the finite element model shows good agreement with the experimental recording, which confirms the justifiability of model initialization, and then, the thermal results are applied for the following mechanical analysis. The stress distribution and the variation in refractive index of the embedded fiber are investigated. The results show that the stress level suffered by the embedded fiber is much lower than the yield strength, and the variation in refractive index of the embedded fiber has an insignificant effect on optical transmission, which ensures a good embedding quality of the fiber optic.

In this paper, iron ladle stress and deformation has been accurately calculated using finite element analysis software ANSYS based on 260t iron ladle in standing, lifting, tipping working conditions. Distribution of stress field was obtained. The stiffness and strength of the iron ladle has been evaluated. The results show that the iron ladle in the standing, lifting and tipping working conditions, structural deformation is small, the strength and stiffness meet the requirements. This research extends the working life of 260t iron ladle. It provides theoretical basis for producing and using of the iron ladle and further optimal designing.

In this paper, the clamping unit of a two-platen injection molding machine was modeled by Pro/ENGINEER, and was imported to Altair HyperWorks. In HyperMesh module, the finite element model was set up, ANSYS has been used in the finite element analysis of the clamping unit and the deformation and stress results were obtained. Based on the topology optimization of HyperWorks/OptiStruct, recommendations to improve the structure of the clamping mechanism are presented; the results showed that less material was used while its performance was maintained.

The frame is the main part of the force matrix of truck vehicle and the stress state is complex and difficult to design. The finite element method is more accurate for the analysis of the static and dynamic characteristics of the frame, which provide guidance for the frame structure design. Establish finite element model of the frame with the application of ANSYS. According to the mechanical analysis of the model, impose reasonable constraints and load, the most typical of the four conditions in the frame is calculated with the finite element analysis, and predicted the weak parts of the frame according to the frame stress-strain cloud, which provided a very important theoretical basis for the improvement of the frame structure of the frame and optimizing design of the frame.

The geometric structure of steel deck plates is complex. So it is difficult to get precise results in the mechanics calculation of deck pavement with traditional methods. This paper adopts the finite element method for the mechanics analysis of the composite guss asphalt surfacing layer of curved steel box girder bridges. By taking the orthotropic steel deck and the pavement as a whole, a reasonable finite element model is established and optimized for the mechanical study of steel deck pavement. This model can be used to study the stress and deformation features of the surfacing layer. According to the common diseases in steel deck pavements and the effect of the overload and the horizontal load in braking to the pavement, this paper puts forward the comprehensive control indicators for pavement failures.

The paper aims to solve the serious and regular crack problems in underground garage. ANSYS finite element software is applied to set up the overall finite element model on floor-foundation and foundation coupling beam-foundation soil in underground garage. Combined with engineering field detection, factors influencing underground garage floor like underground water level, soil expansion caused by water content change in expansive soil, soil poisson ratio, foundation settlement are taken into consideration to find out the causes of cracks. The study is expected to provide reference for similar cases in other projects.

With ANSYS finite element analysis software, finite element method is used to analyze the steel corrugated plate boarding bridge. Stress and deformation of the structure are obtained, and strength and stiffness are checked. Improvements are made on this basis to meet the design requirements.
