This paper presents the comparative study of printed dipole antenna with step-shaped feed gap for DTV applications. By proper adjusting the length of arm strips, the additional resonant mode is excited close to the fundamental resonant mode which can form wide operating band. With the equal length of the strip arms of dipole antennas but different step-shaped feed gap (single, double and triple step-shaped feed gap), the single and double step-shaped feed gap can cover the 470-806 MHz band for DTV reception. The dipole antenna with triple step-shaped feed gap can cover the 470-862 MHz band. The simulated and measured results such as return loss, VSWR, radiation pattern and gain for proposed antenna are investigated.

Abstract - Antenna is a transmitter tool that is familiar with daily activity and easy to find at home, in the building, even on the communication tool used. Genetic Algorithm (GA) is proposed in this paper for the design of a wide bandwidth, high gain and directive CPW-fed slot-dipole antenna. The proposed antenna is built on a FR4 substrate that is cheap and easy to produce. Genetic Algorithm is used to select parameters that reflect antenna geometry to achieve wider bandwidth and reduced return loss (parameter S11) and high gain values at resonant frequency. The antenna design shows a wide operating bandwidth of 1.4 GHz (simulated) and 1.3 GHz (measured) over the X-band, a return loss (S11) of -25.83 dB (simulated) and -23.08 (measured) and a gain and directivity of 5.61 dB (simulated) and 11.87 dB (simulated) at 10.5 GHz resonating frequencies. In this work, all simulations were performed using the ANSYS HFSS v14.0 software. A prototype antenna was produced and then characterized using VNA to validate the design. Measurement results were in good agreement with the results simulated using ANSYS HFSS.

The paper at hand discusses a novel method of miniaturization of antenna design using metamaterials. We suggest a novel method to improve frequency characteristics while reducing antenna size. This method is based on the connection of this element resonant two split rings resonator. The resonant frequency, return loss, bandwidth, radiation pattern, gain, directivity, electromagnetic field, and current supplied by the proposed antenna are the parameters addressed in this study. CST software generates all simulation results.

This paper introduces a 20*40 mm2planar folded L-shaped dipole antenna operated under surroundings of an iron cavity for intelligent lock communication. The height of the slot antenna is shortened and the bandwidth for 2.4 GHz band has been widened. This antenna provides a solution for antenna surrounded by metal background. Good performances on return loss, radiation pattern are obtained over 2.4 GHz operating bands. The operation distance in front and back sides for the antenna has been calculated by Friis transmission equation.

Abstract: This research is a comparative literary study that uses Malay and Javanese versions of Mahabarata text sources. The research objects used were the text edition of Pandhawa Gubah (PG) by Sudibjo Z. Hadisutjipto and the text of Cheritera Pandawa Lima (CPL) by Khalid Hussain. The research method used is descriptive-analysis method. In the comparative study used a comparative literary theory proposed by Endraswara (2011). The results of the text comparison reveal the similarities and differences in the image of Bima figures in the Javanese and Malay versions. The equation as a whole is that both texts contain the same heroic storyline and heroic character, Bima. In addition, Indian influence is still evident in the two texts seen from the nuances of Hinduism that exist in both texts. While the difference is seen in the events that accompany Bima's struggle in achieving his victory. Based on these similarities and differences, it can be seen that the authors attempt to represent the concept of metaphysical interactions vertically and horizontally expressed through PG text.

In the context of the controversies surrounding »globalisation« and In the context of the controversies surrounding »globalisation« and »multiculturality« the comparative study of cultures has the task of aiding intercultural communication and of contributing to the success of intercultural understanding. The model of contrastive cultural comparison discussed here is claimed to have applacibility to every possible study of other countries (»Auslandswissenschaft«) and to be able to provide the Geisteswissenschaften with an intercultural orientation.
