This paper introduces a 20*40 mm2planar folded L-shaped dipole antenna operated under surroundings of an iron cavity for intelligent lock communication. The height of the slot antenna is shortened and the bandwidth for 2.4 GHz band has been widened. This antenna provides a solution for antenna surrounded by metal background. Good performances on return loss, radiation pattern are obtained over 2.4 GHz operating bands. The operation distance in front and back sides for the antenna has been calculated by Friis transmission equation.

A square slot antenna fed by a coplanar waveguide (CPW) is presented in this paper. The design consist of two pairs of “F” shaped planar strips placed within a square slotted ground. The strips are used to excite multiple resonant frequencies, the strips are connected to the ground plane by means of ideal switches. The proposed antenna has achieved multiple resonant frequencies of 2.4/5.2/5.8 GHz for WLAN and 3.5/5.5 for WiMAX applications. The measured results shows a good agreement with the simulated results in terms of return loss, radiation pattern and gain. The proposed antenna is designed for the frequency range of 2 GHz to 7 GHz which makes it suitable for Bluetooth, WLAN and WiMAX applications.

The paper at hand discusses a novel method of miniaturization of antenna design using metamaterials. We suggest a novel method to improve frequency characteristics while reducing antenna size. This method is based on the connection of this element resonant two split rings resonator. The resonant frequency, return loss, bandwidth, radiation pattern, gain, directivity, electromagnetic field, and current supplied by the proposed antenna are the parameters addressed in this study. CST software generates all simulation results.

Among other CubeSat subsystems, Antenna is one of the most important CubeSat components as its design determines all the telecommunication subsystems’ performances. This paper presents a coplanar wave-guide (CPW)-fed equilateral triangular slot antenna constructed and analyzed for CubeSat communications at S-band. The proposed antenna alone presents high gain and ultra-wide band while its radiation pattern is bidirectional at an unlicensed frequency of 2450 MHz. The objective is to use the CubeSat chassis as a reflector for reducing the back-lobe radiation and hence minimizing interferences with electronic devices inside the CubeSat. This leads to a high gain of 8.20 dBi and a unidirectional radiation pattern at an industrial, scientific and mdical (ISM) band operating frequency of 2450 MHz. In addition to that, the presented antenna is low-profile and exhibits high return loss, ultra-wide impedance bandwidth, and good impedance matching at 2450 MHz.

This paper presents the comparative study of printed dipole antenna with step-shaped feed gap for DTV applications. By proper adjusting the length of arm strips, the additional resonant mode is excited close to the fundamental resonant mode which can form wide operating band. With the equal length of the strip arms of dipole antennas but different step-shaped feed gap (single, double and triple step-shaped feed gap), the single and double step-shaped feed gap can cover the 470-806 MHz band for DTV reception. The dipole antenna with triple step-shaped feed gap can cover the 470-862 MHz band. The simulated and measured results such as return loss, VSWR, radiation pattern and gain for proposed antenna are investigated.

Abstract - Antenna is a transmitter tool that is familiar with daily activity and easy to find at home, in the building, even on the communication tool used. A planar printed dipole antenna with reflectors and directors, able to steer its radiation pattern in different directions, is proposed for telecommunication applications. Starting from a dual-beam printed dipole antenna achieved by combining two elementary dipoles back to back, and by loading four PIN diodes, three modes of reconfigurable radiation patterns are achieved at the frequency 2.56 GHz thanks to switches states. A prototype of the structure was realized and characterized; an efficiency of 75% is obtained. Simulation and measured results of the results are presented and discussed.

This paper presents a single layer planar slot antenna for dual band operation. The antenna is fed by a coplanar waveguide (CPW) with two inverted C-shaped resonators to achieve the dual band operation. The impedance bandwidth for ǀS11ǀ < -10dB is 14% in lower band and 7% in higher band. The antenna prototype’s electromagnetic performance, impedance bandwidth, radiation pattern, and antenna gain were measured. The proposed configuration offers a relatively compact, easy to fabricate and dual band performance providing gain between 2 and 4 dBi. The designed antenna has good dual bandwidth covering 3.5 WiMAX and 5.8 WLAN tasks. Experimental and numerical results also showed good agreement after comparison.
