Prebiotics are food ingredients that cannot be absorbed by the host and will be fermented by colonic bacteria into Short-Chain Fatty Acid. Prebiotics can come from various natural ingredients such as wheat, onions, and bananas. Prebiotic food sources can stimulate the growth of probiotic bacteria which are beneficial bacteria for the host, one of which can produce bacteriocins to fight pathogenic bacteria. Manalagi mango (Mangifera indica L. var manalagi) is a fruit that has the potential as a source of prebiotics because it contains prebiotic food requirements, including dietary fiber and carbohydrates. The purpose of this study is to find out the ability or potential of Manalagi mengkal mango as a source of prebiotics by using a prebiotic test based on the growth of BAL is Lactobacillus plantarum in vitro. The design of this study used an experimental laboratory carried out in vitro by making carbon source media with various concentrations of mango flour, then mixed with liquid MRS, and given Lactobacillus plantarum culture which then measured the carbon source medium in the form of TPC. The highest TPC average yield was 1,7 x 1010 CFU/ml is the variation in the concentration of mango flour 6.89%. Based on the results of a prebiotic test with TPC mango flour manalagi mengkal showed its ability as a source of prebiotics by stimulating the growth of BAL (Lactobacillus plantarum).

Keywords – Prebiotics, Manalagi mango, Lactobacillus plantarum

Bioplastics are environmentally friendly plastics derived from natural materials. Bioplastics are easier to decompose when compared to commercial plastics. Bioplastics are generally made from starch contained in plants. But the use of starch as a base material has the disadvantage of producing bioplastics that are not waterproof. Therefore, it is necessary to add chitosan to improve bioplastic characteristics. Chitosan usually comes from the shell of crustacean animals, but it turns out that in fish scales waste, also contains chitosan. Fish scales are a by-product of the process of fish processing. Fish scales are only discarded and not utilized so that they become waste that can pollute the environment. Fish scales have a chitin content that can process into chitosan, which can be useful as an additional ingredient in the manufacture of bioplastics. This review aims to find out the potential of fish scales waste as chitosan in the manufacture of bioplastics. Based on the results of previous research, fish scales have a chitosan content that can use as an additional ingredient in the manufacture of bioplastics. Fish scale chitosan can form bioplastic film with characteristic brownish-yellow film. The addition of fish scale chitosan is also able to improve the water resistance of bioplastic film. Based on the results of the review can be concluded bring fish scales to have the potential as chitosan that can use in the manufacture of bioplastic.

Keywords – Bioplastic, Chitosan, Fish Scales.

Plant Root Growth Promoting Bacteria or PGPR are bacteria that colonize plant rooting areas or the rhizosphere to increase the quality or quantity of plant growth. PGPR can provide dissolved phosphate for plants to be absorbed by the plant root system since 95-99% of phosphate in nature is present in insoluble form. Soil samples from different irrigation systems from Akar-akar village were isolated through serial dilution techniques and grown on NA media shown that the higher the dilution, the fewer colonies that grew on the media. Macroscopic and microscopic observations were made to see the criteria for bacteria, shown that the bacteria in the three soil samples were gram negative and was known that bacillus and cocobacillus bacteria present in the three soil samples. Coccus bacteria was found in soil without irrigation and drip-surface irrigated soil, while streptococcus bacteria was found in drip-surface and drip-subsurface irrigated soil. As many as 22 bacterial isolates were isolated and grown on Pikovskaya media, only one bacterial colony was phosphate solvent through a clear zone that grew around the bacterial colony. The bacterial colony has a phosphate dissolving index (IPF) of 250, the ratio between colony diameter and clear zone diameter was 1: 1.5.

Keywords – PGPR, Drip-surface irrigated soil, Drip-subsurface irrigated soil

Currently, many food products are containing Collagen and L-Glutathione. Based on recent studies, oral collagen supplementation has many advantages as a skin whitening agent, moisturizing agent, skin elasticity enhancer. Collagen supplementation has proven safe for short-term use in adult healthy subjects; however, there is no safety data on other group subjects such as pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and children. Meanwhile, there are so many food products containing collagen and L-Glutathione that claim their products give many advantages without any clinical study. The producer massively advertises their products to sell them without any complete information about side effects and warnings. The purpose of this study is to examine respondent’s purchase intention and awareness of this product's safety. The result shows that the respondent is likely interested in the claim they see in the advertisement. However, it has the potential unsafe use for pregnant women, lactating mothers and children, and long-term use. So this paper recommends BPOM to alter any regulation of food containing collagen especially on labeling and advertising and consider the product to become a food supplement instead.

Keyword – Breastfeeding, Collagen, Whitening

Spodoptera litura is a pest in vegetable plants that attacks the leaves and stems. Damage arising from the attack of S. litura can decrease the productivity of plants. Synthetic pesticides are often used in controlling the population of S. litura, but synthetic pesticides have a high negative impact. Potential entomopathogenic nematode Heterorhabditis spp. believed to be effective for controlling pest populations. This study aims to find out the pathogenic value of entomopathogenic nematode Heterorhabditis spp. to the larvae of S. litura. Based on the results obtained Heterorhabditis spp. has a positive influence in causing mortality in the larvae of S. litura. Heterorhabditis spp. mortality of up to 42%. Symptoms indicated by larvae of S. litura affected by Heterorhabditis spp. among them the behavior becomes passive, the body becomes flaccid, the cuticle turns red and the tissues inside the body are destroyed. Obtained pathogenicity value Lc 50 Heterorhabditis spp. 7,690 IJ/ml, as for the factors affecting Heterorhabditis spp. such as humidity, temperature, pH, and light intensity.

Keywords – Entomopathogenic Nematodes, Pathogenicity, Spodoptera litura

The aging process brings various consequences in the form of physical, mental, and social problems so that an elderly person experiences limitations. The limitations of the elderly in carrying out their activities, especially in foot movement when walking, therefore a walking aid is needed. Each walking aid has a different function and usage method, one of which is a cane. Canes are often used to help balance, widen the stride and lower the weight on the legs. Safe and comfortable use is essential for the cane to function properly in assisting walking function. Canes still do not have a new design that suits the needs of the elderly. In this study, the development of a cane product for the elderly was carried out which was adapted to the ergonomic aspects and ideal aesthetic aspects. The aim is to provide convenience for the elderly in carrying out activities despite their limitations. Based on the research of the report on product development, namely Tongkat Wusaji using the Garvin Dimension method which is supported by 5 parts, namely performance, durability, features, serviceability, and aesthetics. It was found that the product concept applied to the Wusaji Stick uses aluminum material which has a product resistance of more than 3 years. The Wusaji stick has a minimalist design that is supported by the Bfinders and auto adjustable features and there are ergonomic usage procedures.
In Indonesia, the prevalence of helminthiasis is still high, especially in children. The frequency is 60-70% in populations at risk. The lack of use of family latrines causes soil contamination with feces around the yard. There are still few articles that review the morphology of worms that cause infectious diseases in Indonesia. Whereas knowledge of morphology is important to understand the life cycle of worms that play a role in disease transmission in humans and mammals. This article aims to discuss the latest findings regarding the morphology of worms that cause infectious diseases in humans. It can be concluded that at the adult stage, worms can be sexed. Usually, the female type has a relatively larger size than the male. On the head (anterior) there are 3 lips that have sensor papillae, one on the mediodorsal and 2 on the ventrolateral. Between the 3 lips there is a bucal cavity which is triangular in shape and functions as a mouth.

Keywords - Morphology, Helminth, Infectious disease

PT. SI is an FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) of seasoning and foods corporate in Indonesia. PT. SI’s products such as MNG (Mono Natrium Glutamate), Seasoning Flour (SF), a range of condiments, coconut milk, and instant seasoning. PT SI has SF product’s selling data from 2017 until 2020. However, that data yet to be used optimally. That data could be processed further for the organization’s advantage. For example, to knowledge the trend that’s happening, and, for predicting sales value with doing some forecasting and designing DRP. Based on the calculation of the forecasting, we’re obtained the best results using Double Exponential Smoothing by Brown, whereas Mean Absolute Percentage Error’s value is the smallest between the other methods. DRP’s methods make scheduling for the demand of products for determining times and the amounts that needed, and determining plans for arriving products to anticipates sales. With the scheduling, therefore, the distributions can go smoothly and meet the needs of every distribution center. For acknowledging the amounts of trucks that we use, the sums of PORelease is divided with the trucks’ capacities which are 18 tonnages for one delivery, therefore, the delivery costs that we got are multiplied by the transport’s cost for every destination. For distribution costs, company costs are as much as Rp. 20,831,275,897 whereas with DRP method acquired the value for Rp. 17,611,094,522 margins 15,45% from company cost.

Keywords – Distribution Requirement Planning, Forecasting, Distribution cost.
